The Tacharan's
Ellis took a bite of the hor's d'oeuvres being offered that night. The potatoes with crab meat made her roll her eyes in ecstasy. With her mouth full, 'Dear god, have you tried this?' She asked Simon, reaching for another off of a passing waiter, 'Sweetie you gotta try this.'
Above everything else, Ellis just loved being devious, but the next closest thing was food. She enjoyed food. She was so happy that by gaining her vampiric pleasures, she did not loose any of her human pleasures. Her dress fought against her but she nonetheless took another potato.
'I wonder who else has shown up tonight. I'm sure Alfarinn is here. He wouldn't miss this. I do hope the dear stops by and says hello.' She grinned and took a drink from her champagne flute.
"Nothing wrong with the hat; in fact, now I think you'll have to fight me to get it back!"
She snorted at the 'Evenhet whimpering' remark, the mental image of a bunch of tree huggers standing in a circle coming to mind, and waved goodbye to Mathias.
"Nice meeting you!"Â?
Funny how Tacharan wouldn't even be here if not for Evenhet breaking off Anantya, though she suspected Ellis would have made something work with or without Evenhet setting the precedent. Still, strange how things worked out.
Looking at the glasses of wine being offered, she frowned and decided to head to the bar to get some 'real' drinks.
"I'm going to go get something a little...harder. You guys want anything?"Â?
/ooc Nova out, will hear whatever you guys ask for and be back .
'Addison!'
The kiss on the cheek was most welcome. He beamed at Carol and did a small turn for her. "Not so much moxy as a friend with a weird sense of humor." Eh, but maybe he didn't have that much to worry about. Both Ellis and Carol had liked his outfit. And he did look good, if not extremely effeminate...hopefully these people wouldn't think him a drag queen. Oh...but then Carol was leaving. He waved as the gorgeous blonde took off.
'Win what?' Addison figured he might just not want to know. He eyed Simon's garb with a raised eyebrow. That looked...more uncomfortable than the flashy robe and wooden shoes on his own feet. The red head flashed Simon a smile before taking a seat next to Ellis.
"Okay, we've got Jan and his hat, he's my big brother, and Mathias, just met him tonight, and you know Simon, right? Oh, and I'm Nova, good to meet you."Â?
He kept up with the introductions, repeating them in his head to memorize easier. He briefly wondered if they were all vampires in the clan or if any of them, like Carol and himself, were familiars.
"A pleasure to meet you, Nova, Jan, Jan's hat, and Mathias." Nova...he liked that name. Very...unique.
"An honor to meet you Addison. You certainly make a bright addition to the clan."
"It's mostly the hair." And the fact that he was in a damn dress, but well...it was a special occasion and since he was not the only one outrageously dolled up, he might let his friend live.
"I'm going to go get something a little...harder. You guys want anything?"Â?
Oh, that reminded him. Ellis was his mistress, he supposed he should ask her if he could get her something. Couldn't be an effective familiar if he sat on his laurels all the time. "Did you want me to get you anything from the bar, Ellis?"
"No, I'm good. You sure you want to walk through that crowd in those shoes? You're likely to break your neck."
Getting up and stretching, He looked after his sister. She was talking to some crowd of women he didn't know. One looked familiar, oh Nyra was among them.
Picking up a glass of red wine as a waiter passed by, he turned to the others with a grin.
"I'll be right back. We need ammunition."
((OOC: Jan out))
He gave a final glance towards his mistress...and then followed after Carol.
((both ellis and simon out in different directions))
He looked around the room then back down at his hands folded in his lap. Feeling a little like the social reject of the year, he took a glass of water from the place in front of him and drank a bit to cover up his unease at being the last one left at the table.
For the need to get up and move and not look to the entire room like he had the black plague, Addison stood and headed over to the restrooms. Washing his hands seemed like a good, busy errand.
(OOC: Addison out.)
