Character Concept for Adoption

Last night at dinner the following concept blossomed in my head, but due to personal reasons I will not be able to follow through with it and roleplay it.

The character is a paraplegic, confined to a wheelchair. They were abused/in an accident/shot/fell/ill (really anything that could cause such a loss) and left their home to travel the world to find a specialist to repair their disability.

Upon arriving in Nachton, they find out that certain drugs could possibly repair the damage and attempts to find the doctor or company who supplies it. This drug is, of course, vampire blood.

So the character could start either in the beginning of the search, or after it is acquired and they become acclimitized/dependent on it.

The character concept originally grew with the character being female, but that is not set in stone.
