Stowing the Gifts (open w/ PM)
Returning to the Domicile, Alec began gathering his packages from the car. He knew Ginnie would still be completing her own list, but he was a bit self-conscious walking in with the gifts...he felt that she could be around any corner. He could, of course, have left them at his house, but it might be awhile before they found their way there...the Domicile was both of their primary residences, after all, and even more convenient now that they were seeing each other. Securing the car, he lugged the goods into the lobby and was surprised to find no evidence of Carol...he could just imagine her going through all of the newly purchased lingerie and giving him another session of female razzing.
Thankful for the (possibly temporary) reprieve, he moved quickly through the lobby, into the elevator, and down to his floor. While in the elevator, he began thinking about the upcoming job. "The local layout looked like a roof to roof approach with a front wall decline or internal remote opening would work well. Internal would put me in the line of fire, though, so we'll go with the external scaling. That'll leave two guards in a position to see me, if they are excellent and supernatural...and present. Who knows with these guys...so that may be distraction point one. The main door is probably dog guarded as well, so we'll Lassie the close patroller and the dogs and main door guards will likely be off and running. If not, snap cluster to the North Northwest will work as well, though popping the bulb would probably not be the best course in that situation. If all is par for the course, pop the bulb, short the electrics with their own wires, override the magnetics with Reader and take off the safety latch on the door...if it is even engaged...and we'll be in. Or she'll be in and I'll be a nasty surprise waiting on the roof for anyone who wants to point something unpleasant at my dear. Yes...that should do...though the best thing about this one is that there are so many entries and good cover for someone like me. Overconfidence looks to be their greatest flaw...but I'll take my time in case it is warranted. Sounds like a plan."
At that, he stepped into the corridor heading to his suite.
Socially usable...Alec chuckled at that. He'd never thought in such terms before, and he had a small suspicion of who might be responsible for the alteration in spatial interactions. Walking his suite, keeping in mind how to make things more "socially usable," he smiled. He had pretty much set up the whole space as a work zone. Hopeless cause, really. His other home had been socially laid out, though, so that might be enough...for those times when they needed a couple of days away from the old Company Store, so to speak.
Still...if he moved the gear he had to the far wall and set up a screen system, he could really open the central space and use it differently. The storage in the bedroom could also be brought to the actual storage facility, and that could be used properly as a bedroom. It would likely be a work in progress for awhile, however.
After spending a couple of hours moving large metal boxes, safes, crates and whatnot out of his bedroom and the middle of his living space, he looked around. Much more open and workable. Hell, he had enough space to install a...whoa...waitaminute. Social space. Smiling at his inclinations, he left off the planning for another day, opting to get in another quick shower before work.
Popping into the water, he showered quickly, anxious to get on to the evening. Simply replacing the clothes that he had been wearing, he headed out, gear in hand.
