Winter leaned quietly in the shadows while waiting for Simons word. For only a second did he think to tell Simon he was here, but his experince with the man assured him, Simon knew he was here already 'probably known since I got here'
He was quiet, and perfectly still, no wasted movement no undue energy expended.
'Blood..' the dark voice said with a hungry thrill..

Domicile Lobby Briefing
Ellis walked down the hallway to the main lobby where Simon and Carol were waiting. Simon was wearing his usual hunting gear, black combat pants and a tight, non reflective black turtleneck. Strapped to his shoulder was his weapon of choice, the FN SPR A5 rifle package with tactical suppressor (silencer). Presently used by the FBI's sniper team, he kept it handy for long range protective cover shots. For close up, he had two Bren Ten's holstered. Developed to be better performer than 9mm Luger and .45ACP, 10mm auto roughly equals or even slightly superceeds the .357 magnum cartridge - probably, the best handgun manstopper ever. They were custom built to hold fifteen rounds instead of the standard eleven. If he couldn't do it with his hands, he'd do it with the bren tens.
Carol leaned against the front lobby desk wearing white combat boots and a matching white hot pants outfit. Her white communicator was latched onto her ear and would be their eyes once inside the compound. Hacking into the security system was being feverishly worked on and once in, she'd relay the information from one of the technical mercs who will directly hack into the database.
Ellis smiled and waited patiently for the rest of her clan to assemble.

Mathias listened to Ginnie's lecture,clearly impressed with the amount of technology packed into that pen.
"Dare I ask if it actually writes?"
Mathias waited for Simon to pick his team and the op to begin. This was the part he disliked - the waiting. Once battle was joined ,Mathias in his element and felt comfortable there...just not the quiet before.

Simon watched Ellis leave and felt the tense anticipation build up in his shoulders. This was it. He was betting everything important in his life that watching her leave now will be the last time he ever saw her. Carol had been silent, even to him, the entire evening. She probably knew this was something he had to deal with on his own.
He flicked his eyes towards the rest of the members. Ellis' plans were for them to surround the compound and wait for her signal. Simon would then send in reinforcements and they'd clean up her mess. Only he didn't plan on doing that. Not by a long shot.
So what's the plan, boss?
Simon looked at Alec and raised his eyebrows. 'We move separately and assemble at the compound. We'll set up a perimeter and wait for Carol and her team to infiltrate the security system. Once we've take out the guards and Alec and Ginnie do their thing, we provide back up and,' he shrugged, 'we wait.' He gave them all a final look and headed towards the exit. 'Move out, people.'

Worried for the first time all evening, Alec paused, almost replying. He stopped. It wasn't his place to question either Simon or Ellis. He would complete the job in front of him and do right by the clan. It was an honor to have been accepted into the core cell of Tacharan as young as he was. He sure as hell wasn't going to jeopardize it.

Pulling up his cowl, he fitted on his nonreflective goggles and faded from the Domicile, hoping, though he wouldn't necessarily admit it, that Ginnie hadn't left yet and was alone in her ride.

With Simon's command Mathias nodded and grabbed his equipment,pulling the balakava hood over his head. He paused for a moment,lowering his head and reciting the same prayer he said before every battle.

When Ellis left, that was it, Val officially had her game face on and was ready to pick a fight. Poor bastards, whoever they were. Val did tend to feel sorry for the innocent caught in the cross fire, it never stopped her from doing her job or made her reconsider her actions, she just felt sorry for them. Of course, everyone had to go sometime.
Sliding the earpiece into place, she was ready to go but was presented with a new addition for her arsenal. How the hell had all that gotten into one pen? She was impressed. She thanked whom she now gathered to be Ginnie and nodded curtly in acknowledgment of the orders. She’d turned to leave and caught a few words of Latin. Angel of God. Christ, she hadn’t heard or said that in years; not since she was a kid, the nuns did make them learn it in Latin.
Violently squashing those thoughts Val left for her car. No speeding tonight, no matter how much she wanted to, getting pulled over with many weapons in the vehicle would be extremely bad.

Nova gave Ginnie a little grin as she accepted the pen and slipped it into her pants pocket, thinking through her instructions as she fiddled with the ear piece. She looked over at Jan as everyone started to move out, thinking that perhaps she should say something.
That was, of course, stupid. What was there to say?
Even so, she continued to fool with her communication device rather than put the damn thing on as she followed the group out. It wasn’t until she finally fit the earpiece that she realized what she was about to tell her brother.
Naturally she couldn’t say it now with everyone listening in.
No one needed to know she was scared shitless anyway. Maybe it was better to just shut up and listen right now anyway.
