Late night activities (Attn:Aishe Cont'd from Strip)

He wasn't too familiar with the Nachton streets. Even with Aishe's directions he was taking longer than he cared to.He had made a couple maneuvers to warrant a few other drivers to flash him that signal they seemed so fond of.

"Ah well, fuck them" Apollyon thought to himself as he neared the intersection. He only hoped he didn't keep his friend waiting long.

Apollyon took a long drag of his cigarette as he laughed at Aishe's awkwardness. He caught the frisbee with his left hand.

"If they considered drinking beer and scotch a sport, Id be a pro." Apollyon exhaled a plume of smoke

"I'm new too...just moved in with my sister, matter of fact. Don't know how long I'll be staying though...she lives with her boyfriend.

hrm he couldn't help but think somehow it was rather coincidental that he'd met so many people who were new to this city within such a short period of time.He had a hard time not believing that everyone he'd met thus far was not associated with the vampire society in some shape or form.He turned his head to aishe, How'd she know Mai, and Thaddeus? Course he had yet to meet Thaddeus but he did keep himself well informed while he lived outside of the vampire citadel. He hadn't met many of his Clan members in his years in China, or europe. He had only begun meeting some of his fellow kind recently. Now he wondered if she was really human or had she been turned recently. He then giggled nervously, How long had he been sitting there thinking?

Coming out of his train of thought, he blinked his eyes and flashed a smile.he threw the frisbee back to Aishe.

"heh sorry about that"
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe had to run for the frisbee, barely managing to snag it before it hit the ground. Righting herself, she brandished it at Peter with a laugh.

"No dice, pal... I fully intend to stay dry!"

Then, to Tristan, she said, "My mistake! I guess... well, you know... you said night time sports, and I assumed..."

She broke off with a laugh. "Well either way, the answer is no. This is a first. What do you plan on doing here in Nachton, if you're not sure how long you'll be around? Just visiting, or keeping your eyes open for job prospects?"

Aishe gave an elaborate wind-up, spinning around several times and intending to wing the frisbee back towards Peter, but she threw herself off balance and the disc was lobbed up into the air instead.

"Well that didn't quite work."
Patrick Tristan O Mannon 18 years ago
He missed this one, and picked it up off the sand next to him. He wasn't sure if the toss had been aimed at him or Peter, but it was another one of those he was close enough to try for. Unfortunately, he wound up on the sand...this time on his ass.

He was glad Aishe had been a good sport about his teasing. Though anyone playing frisbee on the beach at night had to have a bit of a free spirit in her.

"It's good to know the other information too...I just didn't expect to get it so soon after meeting."

He looked back and forth between them, trying to decide who he should throw to.

"I'm just visiting for now. Got into one of those moments back home where I just had to put some distance between me and everything else...you ever have one of those moments? Anyway, since Shay lived clear across the country...here...I thought it was the best place I could get to. You know Shay...Shalimar O'Mannon?
So until I get my bearings a little, and see what Nachton has to offer, I'm playing it by ear.

What do you guys do here?"

And with that question, he tossed the frisbee back.

(ooc - free frisbee...to either)
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe hopped out in front of the frisbee before Peter could get to it; he was on a temprary smoke-break anyway, from the looks of it. Grabbing it out of the air, she laughed in Tristan's direction.

"Actually, I'm having the opposite of your moment," she said. "I came here to see a friend. And it turns out I like it here so much I'm going to look for a job. I've never met your sister, but it IS a big city, after all."

Running down the beach a bit for some distance, she sent the frisbee zipping back to Tristan.
Patrick Tristan O Mannon 18 years ago
Watching as Aishe took off down the beach, Tristan readied himself for the throw, and caught the fribee easily this time. The toss had been dead on, and hit his hand almost like lead to a magnet.

"Yea, I know Nachton is big...but my sister has a knack for getting into the thick of things, so it wouldn't have surprised me to hear she'd even made it into the papers already."

Tristan loved his sister...both of them, but had always looked up a little to Shay, and admired how she had lived her life so far.

"Anything in particular you like about the city?"

It was always interesting to get someone else's take on something...especially since he'd seen so little so far.

"What kind of work do you do?

Peter still had the cigarette, and didn't seem to want to play with it in his mouth. Tris didn't blame him so he made up a little space between he and Aishe, and tossed the disc back her way.
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe had to jump to get the frisbee this time, throwing one arm way up in the air and knocking the frisbee off its course. She didn't grab it, but managed to save it from hitting the ground by hugging it to herself.

"The mix," Aishe said easily. "I don't mean cultural diversity, I mean the fact that even though it's so diverse, you get a sense that this city really has some deep roots. It's great fun to wander in."

Eyeing Peter slyly, she targeted his head with the glowing disc as she answered Tristan's next question.

"I'm an archaeologist. I'm hoping to find a position with Meridian in one capacity or another. They're based here in Nachton."

She let fly - "Hey, big guy... stop woolgathering!" - and watched as her throw zoomed through the air to Peter.
Apollyon 18 years ago
Apollyon was out of sync with his surroundings, caught up in his own thoughts. Smoking the cigarette was almost an involuntary reflex.Having been alive as long as he had, it isn't difficult to get caught up in your own mind.He hadn't even heard Aishe call out to him, and hadn't noticed the frisbee until it was but 4 inches from his face. Not even showing a twitch on his face, his hand moved with lightning speed to catch the glowing disc.Having reached the filter of the cigarette he flicked the butt of the cigarette into the surf. His facial expression still hadn't changed.A couple seconds passed until he broke out of his almost trance-like state and blinked his eyes.

"I am an auto mechanic. I plan on procuring some property soon, and opening my own shop."

He flicked his wrist and sent the frisbee flying somewhere in between Aishe and Tristan
Patrick Tristan O Mannon 18 years ago
Tris jumped up and caught the frisbee, mouth agape.

He had opened his mouth to ask Aishe what Meridian was, when he saw her spin the frisbee towards Peter with a yell. What kept his mouth open was what he watched from that point on...the frisbee narrowly missing Peter's head, and caught with a reflex faster than anything he'd ever seen before. The only things that stopped him from saying anything about it were, one...it was dark, and possible he hadn't seen what he had thought he'd seen, and two...he didn't think what he had seen had been possible.

Funny enough, what Peter said after that made Tristan forget the phenomenon he might have witnessed.

"No shit! Dude...I'm an auto mechanic! I helped run a little shop in California...worked there a month before they promoted me to assistant manager!"

The words spilled out of Tristan's mouth, almost of their own accord. It had just thrown him to be thinking about hanging around Nachton, only to hear, from the first guy he met, a new shop would be opening soon.

"If you're going to be looking for help, I'd be grateful for an interview...I can get references too."

Tossing the frisbee back to Peter, Tristan just shook his head...still a bit taken back by the coincidence.
Apollyon 18 years ago
A chill ran through his body as he made a running catch for the frisbee, his clothes were still pretty wet but he shook it off.

"No shit! Dude...I'm an auto mechanic! I helped run a little shop in California...worked there a month before they promoted me to assistant manager!"

"If you're going to be looking for help, I'd be grateful for an interview...I can get references too."

He smiled at Tristan's enthusiasm, it was indeed a bit of a coincidence.but then again Darius was more of a sympathizer of fate. In his long life he had felt the touch of some sort of universal force that bends all to it's will and draws all to it's desired outcome.

"Really? That's pretty cool. As per a job, I see no reason not to give ya a look once I'm set up and I have a good business base.I'll be sure to take down a way to contact you before we separate tonight."

"Hey Indiana Jones!" Darius called out to Aishe, he threw the frisbee in a low line-drive heading straight for her head. "Heads up! "
Cyrus 18 years ago
The large black vehicle pulled up the the Marina, inside two well fed vampires were discussing the attack that had happened here.

Cyrus climbed out first and offered Fallon his hand. He hoped that her walking him through what had happend would not be overly tramatic for her. Any evidence left behind would be good to find, but unlikely.

Scanning the area well, he let the fledgling take the lead.

((Hope you dont mind us joining momentarily.))
Fallon 18 years ago
Feeling full as a tick, Fallon slid out of the car, and took Cyrus' hand. She hesitated in looking over at the area where her car had been parked, or where she had fallen, and instead looked directly at the visitor center. It was there that Panos accosted her first. She nodded towards the building, and looked at Cyrus.

"Would you mind if maybe we went for a short walk along the ocean? I'm...still not completely ready to face this...can you give me a few minutes?"

She was beginning to feel like a big baby, after surviving what she had, but she also didn't think it would hurt if she took it slow. At least hunger wouldn't be a distraction.

Looking at the sky, and seeing how clear it was, and how pretty the stars and moon were, a walk along the water just seemed appropriate.
Cyrus 18 years ago
Cyrus held onto her hand. She seemed so fragile, which made him want to tear Panos apart with his claws and teeth, slowly. "A walk along the shore sounds great."

Turning them towards the entrance to the beach, Cy kept hold of Fallon's hand. At the end of the pavement he stopped and looked up and down the area carefully. He wanted nothing to upset her here and was being extra cautious. Slowly the two walked along the sand, enjoying the crisp air, salty breeze and star filled sky above.

Cyrus tensed as they came upon a trio playing in the sand. They appeared to be throwing something at eachother. How very strange. Cyrus looked at the brunette holding his hand with an arched brow.

"What are they doing?"
Fallon 18 years ago
Again the man seemed to know just the right answer. Though a part of Fallon had to wonder if he was just humoring her some. It didn't matter, either way, the end result was the same, so she smiled when he agreed.

When they got to the sand, Cyrus stopped, and Fallon took advantage of that time to remove her shoes...again. Maybe she should just quit wearing them altogether, she thought. Holding the shoes in one hand, and Cyrus hand in her other, they continued on down the beach a short way.

"What are they doing?"

Fallon never considered his question as being odd. The teacher in her almost always just answered questions as matter of fact as she could, admiring anyone for asking.

"It's called a frisbee...that glowing disc they're throwing back and forth. The object is just to have fun, throwing and catching it. Some people can do tricks with it...throwing it in crazy manners, and such, and some people even play it with their dogs. I think its a form of socialization."

The woman and two men seemed to be having fun playing, and Fallon wondered if Cyrus might want to try...and if the three would mind.

"Did you want to play? I can ask. I think most people are pretty friendly when playing games in public areas like this."
Aishe 18 years ago
Aishe snatched the frisbee out of the air with an indignant glare at Peter.

"Indiana Jones!" she scoffed. "He's got nothing on a real archaeologist."

Then noticing the two figures standing by, Aishe winked at her companions and whirled, tossing the frisbee up in the air again and catching it. It was still glowing quite nicely, but she'd brought along her flashlight just in case it needed a recharge.

"You're welcome to join in," she called. "The more the merrier!"

And with that, she flung the frisbee out in the general direction of what looked to be a man and a woman.
Cyrus 18 years ago
Still pondering the why one would do so, the women playing in the sand flung the glowing disk at them. Since Fallon had said this was a social thing he did not pull out any weaponry and instead gently veered it towards his free hand to catch.

He looked at it curiously for a moment. How did it fly if the others did not move it telekineticly and why did it glow.

His head turned to Fallon
"Now what do I do with it?"

With a soft squeeze on their joined hands, Cyrus let go and handed it to Fallon. She probably knew how to manipulate the thing back to its owners.
Fallon 18 years ago
Seeing how easily he caught it, Fallon grinned, and squeezed his hand back as she took the disc from him.

"Now, you return it. Like this..."

She held the disc level with the area of her body, just below her breasts, her hand cocked towards her at the wrist, and showed him how to throw it by quickly moving her forearm away from her body, and releasing the cocked wrist. She just didn't release the frisbee.

Handing it back to him, she moved closer to stand half to his side, and half behind him, then moved his wrist and arm, letting him feel the motion. She didn't doubt he'd get it, and almost felt a bit silly for being so basic with her instruction. She hoped he didn't think she was patronizing him.

"Aim for one of them, and let go of it when you release your wrist towards them."

Moving away from him just about a foot, Fallon watched expectantly...like a mother with a child taking its first steps.
Cyrus 18 years ago
Cyrus paid close attention to her instruction. Since it really made no sense he tried to reason out the why as well as the mechanics. He let her move around his arm and wrist to demonstrate the movement. When she did step back he tried the motion again a few times with out releasing the disk.

"Why do people do this again?"

He asked as he aimed towards the people that had thrown it at him. Carefully following the movements Fallon had demonstrated Cyrus let the thing fly. At first he thought he would need to give it a little push with his mind. But apparently it was specifically designed to fly and went zooming straight towards the tall fellow near the water.
Apollyon 18 years ago
He had to run inland a little bit to catch the frisbee.

"Dont ever talk about Dr.Jones that way!"

he smirked at Aishe and noted the two who had just joined them. He couldn't quite make them out. He decided to walk up and introduce himself.Throwing the frisbee back to Cyrus, his eyes now gained greater detail of the two as he neared them.he snickered as he introduced himself with a sarcastic flourish.

"Hello, Peter Johnson at your service."
Cyrus 18 years ago
His hand reached out as he guided the flying disk to it. How he became a target he did not know. Plotting his next target as the man walked up and introduced himself.

"Peter." He barely choked it out without laughing at Darius. Pointing the frisbee at himself then his companion he introduced them."Cyrus Arslantai and Fallon Tierney, nice to meet you."

Wondering just how his clanmate had wound up out here, soaking wet, playing with humans brought a grin to his face. Luckily the dark made it very unlikely anyone could notice his fangs except Fallon.

"Thanks for letting us join you. Nice night for a little fun, isnt it?" Cyrus said, firmly trying not to laugh. Less careful with his form he flung the disk towards the dark figure of a man, standing on the sand. It wobbled greatly but with a few mental nudges he had it flying smoothly.

((to Tris))
Patrick Tristan O Mannon 18 years ago
Thinking they were getting quite a party going here, and pretty glad he had decided to check out the beach, Tristan was ready when the frisbee was sent in his direction, and caught it without much todo.

"Nice to meet you Cyrus...Fallon. I'm Tristan O'Mannon, and yes, its a great night for some fun."

Thinking it would seem a little awkward to throw in anything about being new to town, or the fact that the two newcomers looked dressed more for dinner and dancing than playing frisbee, Tristan mentally shrugged, and aimed to toss to the lovely new brunette, Fallon. At least what he could see of her seemed pretty.

"Heads up!"

He laughed, as he sent the disc flying.
