Description (if an NPC) or name of your creator(if a PC): (NPC) Lovely British woman. She took Su in off the streets when my career as a dancer crashed. Su became her ladies servant (this was before Su knew what a familiar was and that she was not human). Su dressed her, went shoping during the day for her (thinking she saved up all her energy during the day for the many parties she held in her grand home). She was this tall, statuesque woman, with skin lightly peached in color, and a crown of glowin golden curls, that when let down fell past her butt, and eyes the same green as the spring grass in Ireland (oh yes, Su saw it). She was never cruel, well, to Su anyway. She gave Su leave of her just this past year, said it was time she be on her own.

Personal Questions

1. Describe your character's personality. Su-Chen is often a flirtatious young woman. She tends to talk a lot, and not always coherently, her words often rushed in that teenage, Valley Girl sort of way. She doesn't mind being called an Oriental either, she finds it sounds much more exotic than Asian. She's a real "go with the flow" kind of chick. If things change, she changes with them, finding this makes her life much easier than hanging on to the past too much. Despite her age, she's a real modern girl.
2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.) She dresses like any modern day 21 year old, but with an oriental twist to everything.
3.What does your character like? She's a real people person, be they human or vampire. She loves to go out in groups. She really likes margarita's, loving the variety of flavors one drink can be. She's found pizza to be the best thing since chocolate.
4. Dislike? Ignorance. There is no excuse for it. Everyone knows something, so claiming you know nothing is just stupid.
5. (For humans) Describe what abilities you see your character having if they were turned.
6. What are your fears? Final death, of course. She's been alive too long to want to die now. She wants to see what the future holds, and be a part of it. And, even though its a silly thing, spiders. Those tiny bodies and long legs, and the near translucent fiber coming from a creatures rectum (whether that is what it truly is or not) is just, well, terrifying! And then there's tight, enclosed spaces. The bile rises in one's throat, and the walls start to move closer, and closer, ready to crush you.
7. What is your character's strengths and weaknesses? She's a real people person. She makes friends easily enough, and is loyal to them. On the downside, she's easily hurt, emotionally, taking rejection straight to the heart, when the rejection comes from someone close.

Personal History (Please be detailed, this creates your basis for your character)

Born June 10th, 1655, her father was not at all displeased to have a daughter. There were already many boys in his family from his brothers, and her mother was happy either way the baby was to be. Her mother died only a few hours after giving birth. She was named Liu, for her half Chinese mother. Chen was on of her grandfaters (father's side) name, as he too was Chinese (thus making Liu's father about one-quarter Chinese. Liu and her father lived in a small farming community on Okinawa Island (before it became a military base).

Liu was raised by her father to be a strong worker, and farmer. He taught her all his tricks of raising plants from seedlings to mature plants, and how to pick the very best for market, and the next best for eating. He even took the care to teach her to read, write and do math, and they lived a happy peaceful life, for the most part.

Liu became quite interested in flowers when she was twelve, so she took to garedening in the small patches of dirt infront of her home. Soon, many people wanted flowers, and thus began her venture as a florist. She was paid for her work, and gave her extra money to her father.

When a rich family on the Japanese mainland heard about the little girl who grew the most beautiful flowers, they sent for her. In a tearful fairwell, she left her father and their home. She went to work for the lady of the house, taking over the gardening of the vast gardens they kept, much to the embarassment of the former gardner. For the next four years, the man made her life miserable, always trying to get her fired.

But it was the employer's daughter who would be the ruin of Liu. The girl was having a party, and invite Liu, after all, they had been friends for four years now. (We'll call this girl Taki.) Well, Mai decided that if Liu were going to be at her party, she'd have to dress appropriatly. Too bad that Taki knew of Liu's feelings for Jai (a handsome boy one might add), and Taki was jealous of the attention Jai gave to the servant girl, so she set out to get rid of her. Taki had stolen a dress (never mind where from) and this she gave to Liu to wear to the party.

Of course, after walking into the party, one woman shouted in rage, and Liu was taken from the room. Sad to say, that night many items were found in Liu's room, though Liu had no idea where they had come from. Liu was thrown into the streets with only a few of her things.

Sixteen and penniless, Liu's luck once again caught up with her. She had been shivering in an alley, hungry not a week later, when a man, cursing in a strange language and throwing a broken and torn canvas out the window. When the canvas nearly hit Liu, she let out a yelp, and the man heard her. Speaking kindly to her, he brought her inside and gave her a blanket and soup. It wasn't very good soup, but it was warm.

To repay him, she cleaned up the small house, making everything neat and tidy. This took several days, as the man - Who's name she learned was John (which she always pronounced Chon) - was not a very organized man.

It wasn't until she was putting away brushes that she came across the thick sheef of paper (a type of sketch pad kept in a leather folder) with the partial drawing of a beautiful Japanese woman looking regal while cleaning up dust from the floor. She was fascinated at this. How can a woman kneeling on a dirty floor, her hair pulled back in a bun, with several locks in her face look so rich and proud at the same time. Only after minutes of studying did she realize it was her.

As the weeks passed, she found more and more sketches of herself, even a few half finishe paintings. John had called her his inspiration. She was even learning to speak English (he was British, mind you), and though her English was bad, his Japanese was even worse.

One evening, John took her to a little building with a line of people. It was a theater hall he had told her, and they were going to see a ballete. She had no idea what this was, but was quite excited, and no one seemed to mind that she was there. Some were dressed up in all manner of fancy clothing, and other's were common folk, looking like they just finished a hard days work.

The ballete was the most wonderful thing she had ever seen. She'd often beg John to take her back there, and he did, but not as often as she'd have liked. When time came for John to go back to England, Liu begged him to take her with him. She had no where else to go, and John, finding he could not abandon her, took Liu with him.

She was eighteen now. This would be the time in her life when she would meet the woman that would forever change her. Once in England, John took Liu to meet the woman he called Dear Liza - who's name was Elizabeth Mongomery - and Liu and Liza took an instant liking to one another.

Liu had never seen a woman with hair the color of straw, and eyes so green, you'd think they weren't natural. Liu took to following Liza everywhere, and the woman did not mind one bit. She loved the way Liu mispronounced the simplist of words, or would start in English and finish in Japanese. Liu became her pet.

Liu did everything for Liza, helping her to dress, combing the golden silk mane, and shopping for Liza's parties. Liu was givin such control in the runnings of the household, that one would think Liu owned it herself. Never did she really wonder too much about why Liza slept during the day. She just figured it was all apart of being a courtier. Parties to attend, parties to throw. One had to sleep sometime or die of exhaustion.

It wasn't for three more years when Liu learned of her Mistress' true identity. It happened quite upon accident. Liza had had a young man join her in the drawing room, which was nothing new, but Liu had need of Liza's council. So she knocked and opened the door without waiting, as she normally did, and found that Liza had her mouth on the mans throat. Thinking they were up to foreplay, Liu blushed and turned about, and apoliged over and over.

Liza explained of course, and Liu was shocked. She wasn't angry or frightened, just shocked. She had only heard of vampires in horror stories. And to find the woman she loved more than anything was something from a scary tale, and to see the proof of it, was shocking. Liza left Liu alone for a few weeks, letting her "digest" this new light on reality, then she made a proposal to Liu.

Liu could remane human, and eventually die an old woman, or become immortal, looking as she does now, and watching the world change. This interested Liu, so she accepted. She remained with Liza until two years ago. Liza decided it was time Liu -now going by Su-Chen Ling because she thought it a pretty sounding name- be on her own, at least for awhile. She brought Su-Chen to Nacton City for "a short visit" Liza had said.

Su-Chen had gone out for a few hours to explore a bit of the city, and when she returned to the flat Liza had rented, she found only a note telling Su-Chen she was on her own, but not to be frightened. There were those of her clan, Evenhet, who would look after her, and that she would return when the timing was right.

So here Su-Chen is. Alone for the first time in ages, and a little bit scared.
