Wandering (open)

It had been exactly one day since Su-Chen found herself alone in a starnge city in America. She knew nobody. She didn't even know for how long the hotel was paid up for.

She walked along what the desk clerck had called The Strip, her sandles making soft slaping sounds. She had put on a pair of denim capris, and a floral print tanktop with a Hello Kitty head on the chest.

As she walked, she looked thru windows and at people, smiling and laughing in small groups. This served to only make her feel even more secluded. What was that phrase again? "Alone in a crowd." Well, it went something like that, and that was exactly how she felt now.

Feeling more depressed, she took a seat on a little bench outside of a little shop and watched the people walk past in silence. All the while wondering who this contact was she was to wait for, and when they'd make themselves known. Truth be told, she was scared like hell.

After sitting for what seemed hours, Su-Chen got up from the bench and slowly made her way back to the hotel, deciding a long hot bath with bubbles, insence and candles and maybe some soft music, would cheer her up.

Already a corner turning up at the side of her mouth, she decided she'd call room service and have them bring her up some chocolates and champagne as well.

As she strolled into the lobby, the desk clerk caught her attention.
"You have a message, ma'am." He said as he pulled it from a cubicle in the wall behind him and slid it across the counter to her.

"Thanks," she replied lightly and unfolded the sheet of hotel stationary.

The message was very short, telling her to come to some tower in town. All she had to do was get a cab, and tell the driver, and he'd know where to take her.

"Guess that bath will have to wait." She went up to her room first to change her clothing, thinking denim and a tank too causual for something so important.

She changed into a cream and tan dress she had made once for a party Liza had thrown. The fabric had Japanese characters stitched into the fabric, giving it an extra taste of the Orient. It was her favorite dress.

She added a pair of sandles, of which she had many pairs, and a small hand bag, also made out of the same soft material. She tossed the note, her hotel key, and wallet into the bag, and left.

The cabbie nodded as he pulled away from the curb and headed to the Liefde Tower.

((Sorry all.. maybe I'll start up another thread.. just needed to get Su-Chen integrated into her clan and all first ))
