What now? ((Open))
In Ginnie's mind things just seemed to never end for her Clan. She knew with out a doubt they were going to be pinned for this. She also knew that is was not officially their kill. If it had been it would have been her explosives and her job, but she knew nothing about it. Ok maybe she was being arrogant, but as far as she knew she was the only munitions developer at Duibne and in Tacharan.
She sighed softly as she and Alec got off the elevator on their floor. She had lots of questions and wanted to see what her fellow Clansmen were thinking on this so she decided clean up would be fast then she and Alec would head to the main floor to see what was what.
She dropped the bloody sheet and her scrubs into the bin that went to the incinerator and pulled several bags of blood from her refrigerator. She poured two into a glass for herself and did the same for Alec. She drank as she stood naked in her kitchen, bits of metal and glass, and a lot of blood, running down her arm, leg and back.
Finished, she handed her glass to Alec and let him take care of them as she headed to the shower, blood dripping on the floor as she went. The cleaning crew was going to hate her.
Her mind reeled as she washed he remainder of the blood and debris down the drain. The back of her arm, neck, shoulder, and leg were covered in angry red lines, it would take another day or some serious feeding for them to heal completely, but they were her smallest concern at the moment.
She and Alec changed clothes, and headed back to the first and main floor of the Domicile, waiting for, and hoping the rest of their Clan would show up. She wanted to make sure everyone was still alive, but mostly she hoped Simon or Carol would be around to answer some questions and give orders.
((I figured we all needed some place to gather. Feel free to approach Ginnie and Alec or completely ignore us. If this is out of place feel free to smack me upside the head and lock or remove this.
Alec drug around with permission))
"Thanks Carol, glad to hear it"
Still braiding her hair she finished one lock, taking another strand in between her fingers she began to braid the next lock, looking from Simon to Carol and back while they spoke, feeling a pair of eyes on her she made eye contact with Ginnie, she had seen her at the previous meeting but they hadn't been introduced, maybe she should do that later, just then a deep male voice broke her train of thoughts, looking in it's direction she noticed a dark haired very sharp looking man.
Nodding towards him she noticed another man standing not too far from him keeping a small distance.
Yeah, let's root around. Maybe I'll find a nice little something to bring home, if nothing else.
Turning to the elevator, Alec raised an eyebrow at the men. Nice getup. A player with a wall? Interesting. At the voice, the eyebrow dropped. It seems that the sharks from overseas were circling. He wondered how long it would be before he got to see the security on this guy's office. He probably had some rather interesting secrets. The rich usually did. Especially the pretentious ones with bodyguards.
Not as anxious to leave as he was a moment ago, Alec waited. "Let's see how this plays out. Might have another plan for the evening, now."
It seemed they were having happy detective time now that things had settled down after the blast, which was cool with her even if she didn’t think it would amount to much. She figured if whoever did this had missed, well, that’s what all the waiters were lurking around for; to take out their target in the confusion if things went awry. Naw, they’d hit their target, or so she imagined.
Simon did, however, bring up some much more important news, to which she reacted in much the same way as Ginnie.
Marthinus was gone?
He didn’t say goodbye?
She looked over to Jan, openly upset, and had wanted to ask Simon what gives, but it seemed he and Carol were rolling out. Damn.
Wait, not damn. Double mother fucker! Marthinus was gone.
Her mood wasn’t really helped along when a bunch of people she didn’t know joined the fray. She was getting that feeling that shit was about to get crazy and if things were going that way, she needed a fucking drink.
Never one to be subtle, she tilted her head back, her eyes closed once again, and said:
“I need a fucking –drink-.” She waved her hand in a gesture that suggested she would be playing the lonely goat herder in the marionette puppet show. “And I need some names ‘round here, ‘s crazy. ‘m Nova.”
Woah, what happened? He stopped the musical track or at least turned down the volume on Rammstein and played Simon's words back in his head.
Marty is gone? When Simon and Carol left, he turned narrowed eyes on Nova, wondering what she knew about all this. It seemed to have been a shock to her also, either that or she was still not taking it well. He thought Marthinus had become something of a more approachable father figure to her. Funny that, he was really young compared to Simon and even himself. Humans just wore into wisdom faster, there must be something that links wisdom to learning that your body can't do the crazy things it used to.
... Which meant there was no hope for him ever becoming wise. Ah well, he'd deal.
He noticed new people. Oh, look its like a party. Jan knew the brunette though and waved at her.
"That's Alexandra. We met during Addison's movie night but only briefly since I had to bug out... you know... the thing with the thing...to do."Â?
Thinking about this hellatious busy night, he thought drinking sounded like a damn good idea.
"You're not drinkin without me, Missy, I'm pretty sure you're a minor still or something. Who's the designated bored person?"Â?
"Alex is the name but then Jan over here already mentioned that"
Giving the other vampire a wink she moved her eyes back to Nova.
"As for that drink, I think we could all use one.. me personally, fuck I don't know anyone around here, just a few faces, hell I'm the new kid on the block"
Laughing softly she moved a stray lock behind her ear.
The dark haired vamp was called Alex. She'd remember that and find out what the girl..woman did for Tach. In the meantime, getting to know the show off with his wall sounded much more fun.
"Good evening yourself. And, just who might you be?"
'Yep, I'll stick my head out on the chopping black, I bet dollars to do-nuts I could kick his ass, and his little body guard too. I think this is the point that I get to do the wicked whitch cackle,' She arched an eyebrow at the suitman and stuck a hand on her hip, waiting for his answer.
He chuckled at the brusque yet honest response from Nova. "I believe everyone here knows me...and you are right, perhaps a drink is in order...one moment."
Mathias quickly stepped to his room, remembering that a few things weren't at Shay's yet. Retrieving two bottles from the freezer and some glasses he headed back down to the gathering. Yes,two bottles of Staraya Moskva vodka should do well indeed.
"Here we go..a proper drink for a proper gathering!" He poured enough in each glass for the assembled. Lifting his glass Mathias turned to address them.
"Za vashe zdorov'ye! - To your health!"
With one swift swallow he emptied his glass, feeling the familiar burn as the vodka traveled. Opening his eyes,he noticed the new arrival - hmm...another lost child returning home or a vulture to pick over the carcass he mused
"Privet" he said, nodded at the new man.
"Come sit. I don't... okay, I do bite but then who doesn't?"Â?
He scooted over towards Nova and laid his head on her shoulder
"You get all dressed up and we went to a party and we didn't even get to cause any trouble! What the hell is wrong with that?"Â?
There were several people in the room he didn't know. The dark haired olive skinned woman who was pretty in a dangerous too lethal to handle sort of way and the man with the walking piece of meat behind him. He looked like a mob boss or something. Maybe he was an extra on the 'Sopranos'. Jan reminded himself that fucking around with the huge human meat shield was probably a bad idea, not for any fear of harm coming to him but intra-clan relations and all that. So no poking him randomly with telekinesis no matter how tempting it was.
Luckily Mathias saved the day with well timed alcoholic distraction. Vodka would keep Mr Big's thug safe for the moment. He took up a glass and lifted it.
"Cheers"Â?
Tossing it back, Jan then set the empty glass back on the table.
"Thanks mate."Â?
Leaning over to Nova, he said quietly.
"Do you know everyone here, because I don't."Â?
((OOC Simon out))
She did not bother to introduce herself to the new vampire, especially when Simon barely acknowledged him. He hadn't given his name yet and his appearance was not familiar. Out of state...more than likely out of country. More importantly he was in the database. Ellis probably knew him before her time. Turning, she followed Simon into her office when she noticed it.
Sitting on her desk were 3 envelopes with handwriting on the front. She looked around the office and found nothing else out of order. Walking up to the desk, she leaned over and read the writing.
Nova
Jan
Carol
Picking up hers, she turned over the envelope and immediately recognized his seal. The letters M and S were intertwined and stamped onto a red wax seal. She picked up the other two and returned to the duter lobby door.
'Nova? Jan?' She held out the letters. 'It's from Marthinus.'
“So Alex is okay then? And see, this is why you’ve gotta drink up with us, get to know people and shit.”
Mathias was quick to solve the problem of no alcohol and Nova shot him a wide grin as she took her shot, raising it up with the rest and adding her own toast to the mix.
“Fuckin’ A.”
She knocked back the shot and nodded to Mathias. “Thanks dude.”
Messing up Jan’s hair with one hand, which he was pretty much asking for by way of resting his head on her shoulder, she feigned a philosophical expression.
“Trouble was caused. Sometimes, that must be enough.” She shrugged a little and gave a smirk at his question. “You’re doing better than me I think. Wonder who the new dude is, and I –still- haven’t managed to pick up that chick’s name.” She frowned and raised her voice back to normal volume. “Of course, blowing shit up is only cool when –we- do it.”
She shot Ginnie a smirk at that, imagining she might feel the same way, but fell quiet when Carol returned with envelopes in hand.
“Heh. Marthinus wrote.” She stood up to take the letter from Carol, though she paused and looked over her shoulder at Jan. “Wonder how long he was planning this.”
"I spent hours on that non brushed look and now you've messed it up!"Â?
He looked over and saw Carol come back into the room with envelopes with their names on it, Jan stood up to go retrieve his.
"For me? And its not even my birthday!"Â?
He then noticed the seal on the back of it and sobered. Taking the envelope from Carol, Jan looked it over, tracing the emblem with his finger.
"Thank you."Â?
In answer to Nova's question, he shrugged.
"Not long I'd guess. Certainly he'd have let us know in person if he had been."Â?
Jan made his way back to the couch and flopped down into it, staring absently at the unopened envelope in his hand. He wasn't sure he wanted to open it and read it in front of all these people he barely knew.
((ooc - Carol out))
"Lotus", raising her hand when Nova asked for names. Nova might've caught it at the party, but Lotus was sure a few of the others didn't.
"Well, since that is that, I am going to take a nice hot shower. I've got to get this ick off me before it becomes attached."
Standing up, grabbing her one shoe, she headed off to her apartment.
(ooc - lotus out)
Pouring another shot of vodka with a wink at Mathias, she raised her glass.
“To Marthinus!”
With that, she drained her glass and stood up, envelope still in hand. Walking around to the back of the couch, she leaned down and gave Jan a not so subtle nudge.
“C’mon, let’s go read.”
With a cheery wave at the rest of the group, she took her leave, heading for the abby.
/ooc Nova out
Nova made her toast and so he reached for another shot in which to honor his friend.
"To Marty"Â?
Swallowing the drink, he looked over and raised his eyebrows when his sister suggested going somewhere to read. Maybe she knew what they had all been talking about before he got there and it wasn't anything important. Either way it looked like the party was busting up.
Giving a grin to Alexandra, he turned to Mathias.
"Thanks for the drinks. You guys don't party -too- hard."Â?
That said, he followed Nova out.
((OOC: out))
Patting the couch seat next to him, Jan looked up at Alexandra.
“Come sit. I don't... okay, I do bite but then who doesn't?”
Laughing softly at Jan's comment Alex took a seat, she didn't speak much she was more of a listening only talking when needed, watching everyone around her she took a glass from Mathias when he offered them a drink nodding her thanks to him.
She kept her eyes and ears open as the conversations went on, sipping her drink she listened to everything that was being said, after a while she got up from her seat, smiling at Jan and Nova she put her glass down.
"It's been nice seeing you again Jan, nice to meet you Nova, see you guys around"
Turning on her heels she walked towards the elevator heading back up to her appartment.
(( ooc. Alex out ))
