Fair Warning
Well it has finally happened. My doctor finally agreed with me!
On March 30th I will be having surgery to remove my uterus, endometriosis and scar tissue. They will also remove my left ovary if the cyst I have there has damaged it, otherwise they will leave them both. I will retain my right ovary either way.
Now before you all tell me how sorry you are for me, let me tell you that this is the best thing that has happened in the girl problem department in the last five years. I have lived with constant pain in my belly for that long and it is finally going away.
Having said all of that, I will be completely out of commission for at least one week after the surgery and then I will be able to spend short stints at the computer the week after. According to the doctor anyway. They told me that about my galbladder surgery too and I was fine in about three days, so we'll see. I will try and make sure my characters are in ignorable places and finish up or put on hold any story lines.
So now you know, and knowledge is power.
(PS this includes Meegan and Wren too. :D)
She's highly drugged on Darvocet.
She has no dietary restrictions. She's only allowed to lift up to ten pounds for two weeks.
Her amazing husband and wonderful mother-in-law are with her to help her with things and to deal with her children.
She thanked everyone for their well-wishes, positive vibes, and happy thoughts, and will be back as soon as it doesn't hurt to sit (and as soon as she isn't doped up on some of the strongest painkillers available.)
She's doing fine, a little sore but manageable. She alleviated some cabin fever with driving and sunlight, so she's a bit more of a happy camper
When she's able to sit at her desk comfortably for more than a few minutes she'll pop on by.
She thanks everyone for their well-wishes, happy thoughts, and groovy vibes!
So glad to hear she's recouping well.
Thank you all so much for your support!
I feel ok, just tired still. I am always amazed at how much it takes out of you to have surgery. I sleep a lot still, and still have a bit of ache in my right side where I tore a couple of stitches. The suregery went well and oddly enough I was free of endometriosis both inside and out of my uterus, however I many more fibriods than the doctor had originally thought.
I look forward to being completely recovered and never having another period in my life. I will still have PMS 'cause I still have my ovaries, but I can handle three days of bitchiness, thanks.
*hugs*
Take good care of yourself and don't overdo anything, we've missed you here
