Giving him a soft smile as he replied back to her comment she brushed her hair out of her face, it was drying slowly from being wet from the shower falling in soft waves around her face.

Listening to him talk about his aunt made her eyes widen, the aunt was still around.. well that had to be weird to say the least.

"Does she belong to a clan? in all honesty I've been having many questions myself lately, I'm fed up with being alone, fed up with being told what to do and when to do it, following the rules of a clan.. but yet, it provides safety which is a good thing right? I don't know.. all I do know is that what you and I have going here.. whatever it is.. I like it."

Pushing herself up she sat up straight, taking an almost lotus postion she slowly began to braid her hair, a habbit she had picked up over the years.

"What is it like to be clanless, I mean you don't have anyone to look out for you and it's a dangerous world out there.. how do you do it? I'm in Tàcharan and I don't know anyone there.. I don't fit in, somehow I feel like an outsider looking in, do you ever feel like that?"

He watched her braid her hair for a moment before he spoke.

All the time. I feel like that all the time. I haven't had any problems being clanless. Well yet. I do have alot of protection from my aunt. She is in Anantya, her maker lives there as well. They actually get along, fancy that. This home, she provided it for me. It's basically a hide out. You saw the locks, it's like a fort knox down here almost. When I was in Tacharan, I didn't really talk to anyone and I'm still nto sure how much protection they offer.

He laughed and shook his head.

Currently I have a vampire from each clan who would love to see me dead. It's been months and I haven't been attacked yet. I don't know if that's thanks to Chryseis, my aunt, or just pure luck. I've never been good at following rules either, that's how i got kicked out of Tacharan. I guess that in order to have a clan, you have to have rules, a set of guidelines to follow, but sometimes...damn, it's just outta hand.

He looked at her again with a smile on his face.

I like what we have too. I know we just met, but this is the most comfortable i've felt in years.

Crooking her head to a side as he talked to listen to his quietly while still braiding her hair, over the years she had become so good in this that in a short while she had numerous little braids hanging around her shoulders.

"Maybe I should be like you then.. maybe i should just leave the clan"

Shaking her head she moved her body down so that she was resting on top of him, placing a kiss on his chin she smiled at his last words.

"I like you too.. I don't know what it is but it feels so natural to be with you.. like it's ment to be"

Closing her eyes she sighed softly, it was a content sigh, their bodies were beginning to cool down some, it had been a while since they had fed, lifting her head she look over her shoulder, spotting the duvet she pulled it up over them.

"Lets get some sleep.. we'll talk more tomorrow"

Closing her eyes ones more she snuggled back up against him.

Sounds like a plan.

He wrapped an arm around her torso as she cuddled up agaisnt him and settled next to her. It had been a long night from beginning to end and he wouldn't of been surprized if there had been at least two hours of daylight outside allready.

'Thank god for underground homes.' He thought to himself as he drifted off.

Moving even closer to Panos as he put his arm around her body Alex sighed contently, she couldn't remember if she ever felt this content and relaxed, part of her wondered why she was feeling this good about a man she hardly knew, but her heart told her it was right.. maybe she should listen to it for a change?

Slowly dozing off it wasn't long before both vampires were soundly asleep.. at least for a while..

Panos woke and instantly his nerves frayed. Something was different. His anxieties eased as the feel of the cool flesh next to him brought back memories. He smiled in the dark.

Leaning over Alexandra's shoulder he kissed her temple lightly. WIth ease he slipped out of the bed and got dressed. His stomach rumbled and he noted that his hunger was stronger than usual. Oddly enough, for human food and 'human' food.

He retrieved a piece of scrap paper and pen and began to write a note to Alexandra.

'Sleeping Beauty,

I couldn't bring myself to wake such a goddess when she was so obviously enjoying her beauty rest. I've gone out to find a bite to eat and perhaps visit my aunt. It would do her smug self good to know that i've stopped chasing a human around. Vampires make better catches >=)

Anyways feel free to stay and use my abode as you long as you wish. I hope that we shall see each other again very soon.

Panos'

Something woke her up but she didn't know what.. roling over she reached for Panos.. Panos?

"WTF?"

He was gone, did he just leave her here? looking around and using her enhanced senses she noticed her really wasn't in or near the underground appartment, looking to her left she noticed a piece of paper laying on top of the nightstand, reaching for it she began to read.



So he was really gone, not sure when he would return.

Getting out of bed she headed towards the shower, still naked she adjusted the spray to the right temperature and got under it, washing both her hair and body she walked back into the bedroom, wrapped in a fluffy towel.

Finding her clothes scattered across the floor she dressed herself quietly, finding another piece of paper and a pen (probably the same one Panos had used) she began to write him a note in return.


' Hi there tall, dark and handsome.

I'm heading back home.. or Tacharan for that matter.

If you want to reach me come find me at one of the clubs, I should be out dancing or having a drink, you know me not one to stay home alone that long.

I really liked what happend between us, we klicked in all the right places and yes the sex was mind blowing too *grin*

Taking one final look around the appartment she headed out, making sure the sun wasn't up she headed into the darkness, it would be a long walk back to the city.
