At Mai's declaration of endgame, Dawn smiled, wondering if she'd thrown the match to keep things more even. She'd never ask, so likely would never know, but it seemed a possibility. As Thaddeus stood, Dawn knew there was little hope of him navigating safely and successfully back to his room, and she'd not seen the inside yet.
"Good game, what! Gotta do that gain, fo sho! Oh, an I'll get Thaddeus back to his room safe - he look a little lurchy. I'm onna job!"
Vaulting from her chair, over the table, she landed lightly next to the chair Thaddeus was gripping to steady himself. The sake had hit, but she'd not had as much, and apparently had a higher tolerance than the poor man - her motor skills were all still fine. She was in that pleasant phase of altered judgment but sound body. Crouching down, she scooped him up in her arms quickly and smoothly, before he could protest and careful not to lurch the midsection of his body, as that could lead to some pukeage.
"Whee! Back to the Batcave!"
