1. Describe your character's personality Considers himself an artist. He loves the finer things in life, woman,men, good dress, fine music. Snobbish, disdainful and a chauvinist. Sorin feels great pride in his origins and considers himself an expert on all his hobbies. He has become very dour and tradition bound over the centuries. He's ruthless and uncomprimising.
2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.) Well dressed, somewhat severe these days. Loves silks and finely tailored suits.

Personal History
Born to Julia Agrippina by a Dacian (Future Romania) Agrippina passed the child off as the son of Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus. Later she married the Emporer of Rome and had Claudius adopt the boy as his son. She poisoned Claudius leaving the then renamed Nero to rule Rome at the age of 17.
Nero grew unpopular because of his excesses in the way of building his personal palace after a fire in Rome destroyed much of the city and his interest in the arts. He didn't exactly "fiddle" while Rome burned. He used the 7 day fire as a background for his impromtu re-enacting of the fall of Troy. He also had a lack of interest in actual statecraft. He killed or commanded the death of anyone who opposed him,including his own brother, mother and one of his wives.
He blamed Christians for the fire in Rome. His own soldiers rebelled against him.
He was forced to flee Rome, Traveling to Greece despite hardships in his country. It was there that he met Epaphroditus. The man who became his secretary was oddly watchful. He had the strange habit of only making an appearance at night but never failed Nero in the work to be done. Nero spent many a late night at various parties and entertainments and tended to sleep late himself. The man's oddities only made Nero find him more interesting. Epaphroditus seemed to be truly appreciative of Nero's artistic talents and before returning to Rome to deal with the Jewish Revolt, he offered Nero something that would change his life, the chance to be immortal. Nero thought of ruling Rome for eternity. He had already set up statues compairing himself to Apollo and other gods. However, even a vampire cannot quell the populace and when his army rebelled against him, Nero was forced to commit 'suicide' with the aid of Epaphroditus.
He left Rome to whoever wanted her. No longer caring the uncivilized masses. He spent time in Greece and eventually went to Romania to learn the culture of his true father's people. They were a rich and colorful bunch who appreciated art and music. Nero felt he had found his true home and changed his name to Sorin Lazarovici, mockingly taking the last name in reference to a man risen from the dead.
He is wary of both of his fellow elders. Condescending to women on the outside, Sorin remembers all too well the power his mother and wife wielded over him. Quite frankly both the vampire women scare him.

1. A stranger at a bar offers your character a drink, what is a typical response? How kind of you, my good man. It is so hard to find a true gentleman these days.
