These days the Legion wears blood red arm bands with their rank insignia on the right arm for the same purpose. In addition to the rank insignias, Legionnaires also wear symbols that indicate their specific duties within The Legion.
The official Legion uniform (red with black piping) is strictly ceremonial in purpose; thus the arm bands are the primary means of identifying a Legionnaire.
The Strategos Classifications
The Strategos of The Legion head different operations, and command the combined forces of the Taxis. Some Strategos have earned additional titles to indicate their elevated roles and status in The Legion. Obviously these roles overlap at times but the primary duties of the respective titled Strategos are as follows:
Aurum Strategos
The Aurum Strategos heads all domestic affairs and defensive operations.
Argentum Strategos
The Argentum Strategos heads all foreign affair operations and offensive tactics.
Cuprum Strategos
The Cuprum Strategos heads all internal affairs and search and rescue operations.
The Taxis
Led by a Taxiarchos, the Taxis of the Legion serve the diverse needs of the pack’s military force.
Taxis Solum
Taxis Solum serves The Legion through research, development, testing and engineering.
Taxis Mare Maris
Taxis Mare Maris is the primary source for intelligence gathering and misdirection.
Taxis Incendia
Taxis Incendia is the main infantry and combat force for The Legion.
Taxis Ventus
Taxis Ventus handles all internal affairs within The Legion.
