Regrouping (attn: Mai)
He'd had another drink, or was it two, and was starting to feel restless. You couldn't just stay still after an argument like that but he wasn't about to throw things like a six year old either. Relying more on his can than he generally did Ambrose rather aimlessly stalked the grounds.
God damned woman should mind her own business. What did it matter to her if he belonged to an order or not? He was managing just fine with out her 'help' and then for her to go off and leave him that just wasn't right at all.
Several cutting remarks came to him as he prowled. It wasn't right that he could be more articulate after the fight than during it.
About that time he noticed his surroundings and realized he'd never been in this part of the grounds before. It was a garden, but far too organized for his liking although it did have a rather tranquil feel about it. Not that he wanted to be tranquil right now, no he'd gotten his temper up and was rather determined it would stay there. Although his stalking had become less aggressive and he was slowing down somewhat.
"No one likes failing but the only true failure is to give up. You have not, so you have not failed."Â?
She hoped that he could see that. He appeared to take his disability much harder than she did her own but he was still less self pitying than many who had lost what they thought was necessary for their way of life. Ambrose took care of himself quite well from what she had observed; he simply did not believe he was what he once was. Perhaps, though, he was something better or would be in time.
Mai smiled when he accepted her offer to join the Hunt. Was there really a choice for those who felt called to it?
"Very Good. I will look for you soon."Â?
Mai stood and bowed. She was most interested to see how he faired on a mission and would not be at all surprised if he did better than he believed he would. She turned and headed down the path but paused for a moment to give him one parting message over her shoulder.
"You should enjoy the rest while you have the time, Ambrose-san."Â?
With a small grin that he could not see, Mai disappeared among the hedges.
((OOC: Mai out ))
He’d just agreed to join the Hunt, hadn’t he? Ambrose thought about that for a second and decided it hadn’t been a mistake, just something he hadn’t had the guts to do before. It also wasn’t out of his reach, he was just going to have to think about things a little differently from here out, charging into things wouldn’t work any more.
“When ever you see fit Elder.”
Watching her stand and bow Ambrose decided it was for the best that he wait it out rather than make a fool of himself getting up right then. As she left he smiled, a one sided cocky smile at what could almost be called a challenge. He liked it.
With Mai out of sight and a great deal of awkwardness, he got back up.
“Awww shit.”
He muttered to himself, No he had to explain this to Belle… he’d probably have to apologize to. Maybe if he were lucky his first assignment would kill him, again.
((OOC… Ambrose out. Lock please.))
