I really thought that was a nice touch making it difficult for vampires to tell each other apart from humans. I always thought the instant knowledge of being vampire or human from smell, sight etc. was too easy a copout in VtM and VtR.

As for hunters, I could see the scenario and it would be a silly, brutal affair. Really inept vampire gets caught having a late night snack and stupidlly flees. A group of hunters ala John Carpenter's Vampires gets together to track and hunt the vamp down. Vamp eventually gets dusted. Hunters get offed one by one in a series of bizarre accidents for such a brazen act. Both sides lose.

Half-vampire- lop off his legs.
