Sisyphus (open)

It had been wicked fun convincing Rupert that having a portion of steel girder near the edge of the property was a good idea. Now she just had to figure out what the fuck she was going to do with it. Thing weighed a ton. Making sure that there was no direct line of sight to the outside of the property, Dawn smiled. Running down to the garage, she liberated a long length of heavy chain and some clamps. Stopping by the pool, she captured a few towels and started wrapping the chain. She wasn't sure what Rupert used on the towels, but she was fairly confident that it got out oil. They always looked so downy fresh and new.

Returning to the bit of girder, she anchored the chain to it at either end using the clamps. Wrapping a towel around her waist, then tangling herself in the middle of the covered length of chain, Dawn flashed her fangs in a maniacal grin. This'd be a hell of a workout. Running as fast as she could up the slight rise, she reached the end of the chain.

"HHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUoooh! Puh!"

Thump.

The first sound was all of the air being compressed out of Dawn's chest as the chain jerked taut suddenly enough to cause her legs to shoot out from under her. The second was the sound her body, lungs almost completely empty, made when she hit the ground. The third sound was the girder rolling ninety degrees. One foot of progress. Laughing, Dawn got up and took a couple of deep breaths. And ran out her chain.

Wash, rinse, repeat, as they say in the business.

"See, yer lik'a real pimp ride, fully tricked out - faster onna straightaway, but can't match a bike for maneuverability. You've gotta higher top speed, but I drop less cornering and ain't gotta worry 'bout low clearance or other 'roadway hazards'."

Warming up for a really good splash fight, Dawn submerged and steered toward where Amby was...and discovered she'd left the water. Resurfacing, she scanned around until she found her drippy clanmate.

"Aw, all kinda no fun. Well, you git on then. Prolly someone waitin' t'gitya wet in some much hotter way anyhow. But I'll still takeya up onna night out - even though you'll prolly be all borin now."

Scrambling out of the water, Dawn waved goodbye and headed back to her rooms. The clothes always seemed to make their way back here anyway, no matter where she left them.

((ooc: Dawn out - lockitup!))
