Meegan's Condo
Meegan resides on the edges of the Upper Middle Class quater of the city, putting her near enough to her offices to walk. However, her bank accounts could place her well with in the Upper Class comforatably with out the need for Gothic-ah Fashions.
She lives in a three-storey walk up that was converted to purchasable condos several years ago. Her's is on the third floor. The first is occupied by a newly widowed grandmother and the second by an affluent gay couple.
Her front door leads into an italian tiled entryway with a small marble table to one side that sports a waterford bowl for the keys and baubles of her guests, the other wall holds several antique-looking hooks one of which holds her winter coat and another her hat and scarf.
The entryway leads into a formal living room decorated in black, glass and crome. A large leather couch dominates one side of the sitting area and two library chairs the other. Between the is a glass coffee table with a vase of red glass roses. Above the, as yet unused, fire place hangs a large silver framed mirror with a crakle-finished surface.
To the left of the living room is a spacious island kitchen, decorated in muted golden-yellows and creams. With stainless steel appliances, a professional range and two ovens. It also holds the back door to her condo and the door she most often uses.
To the right of the living room is what Meegan calls the sun room, but most would call a den or family room. It is a wash of blues and yellows. One wall is nothing but glass giving her an amazing view of her neighborhood and since it faces south, sunlight all day. On the wall opposite the windows sits a large puffy couch and two end tables. To the right of the couch stands a large armoir that houses her electronic entertainment, in the form of a thirty-two inch television, dvd player, vcr, and stereo system. The drawers of the cabinetry holds a portion of both her dvd and cd collections. The rest are housed in tall matching cabinets to the left and right of the armoir. Opposite the armoir in the center of the room stand two chairs, these being her favorite places to sit and entertain herself.
One is able to leave the sun room by going back into the living room or into a long U-shaped hall. At the closest end of the hall to the sun room, is the office that serves as a guest bedroom. The walls are bathed in a soft cream and un-adorned, save a typical depiction of the ocean above the day bed and trundle on the left wall. Opposite the bed is her substantial computer desk, that contains her computer, and her household business. The wall nearest the door holds a sewing machine, a small cache of fabric and a dress-maker's dummy. The wall opposite holds a drafting table and all the artistic accoutrement of a fashion designer.
The center of the hall supports the guest bathroom, it's walls a soft plum and it's decorations, fixtures and caninetry in white. To either side of the bathroom door are two rows of four recessed cabinets giving a total of sixteen. In these she stores towels, sheets, blankets, extra pillows, cleaning solutions and items and in one toys, books, a Gameboy and games for the few of her friends with small children.
The other end of the hall holds her bedroom. The majority of it's space is taken up by her king-sized four poster bed, imported from Italy. One door led to the master bathroom, in it sits a whirlpool bath, a steam shower, double sinks and a toilet stall. Another door leads to her large walk-in closet. A space meant for two, but occupied by enough clothing to dress a small country for years, and two-thirds of it in various shades and textures of black. The other furniture in the room consists of her large mirrored vanity, a tall lingerie chest, a four drawer dresser, and a night-stand by the bed.
There is also a sliding glass door that leads to a considerable balcony which has a small bistro set, and two lounging deck chairs.
