Personal Questions
1. Describe your character's personality:
At first Aislinn is rather quiet until she gets to know someone, when she can become quite boisterous and vocal. But mostly she is calm and collected showing minimal emotions. She smiles and laughs easily and has a warm nature, but she keeps most of her feelings to herself, particularly bad feelings which she bottles up. She is comfortable in front of small crowds due to performing for tourists in the summer, but is wary among alot of people having spent much of her life with only her family for company.
Aislinn has nearly always done her own thing, and only accustomed to taking orders from her father when he bothered to notice her. But she is very loyal to her friends, and would do anything for them if it is within her power to do so. She is wild and unruly to those who seek to dominate her, but loyal and protective to those she calls friends.
She also has a spontaneous streak, sometimes doing some things people wouldn't expect of her.
2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.)
She is most often seen in jeans and a t-shirt and/or a shirt, with trainers or boots. She is not what one would call beautiful, but striking, mostly due to her strange eye colour. Most who meet her tend to remember her. She carries herself with a calm confidence, but she is not arrogant. She is always alert, her eyes often darting around taking in the goings on in her vicinity, much like a hunter evaluates his surroundings before the kill. Despite her stocky build, she moves with a subtle grace. She is both untamed and refined, a wanderer with the manners taught to one of noble birth.
3.What does your character like?
Aislinn likes the outdoors, she grew up in the Highlands so spent most of her life outside. She likes to horseride and is an experienced rider. She also likes to ramble, often roaming the hillsides for hours. She was taught archery and falconry with her brothers, and enjoys both, especially the falconry.
She values friendship and honesty.
4. Dislike?
She hates liars, and people who make themselves out to be more than they are. She can tolerate a little arrogance, but hates braggarts.
While she doesnt fear spiders, she has an almost irrational hatred of them and will kill them without a second thought. Something about them disgusts her.
She also doesn't like balloons, she hates it when they burst or of somoene rubs one against her hair.
5. (For humans) Describe what abilities you see your character having if they were turned.
Perception, Agility, Shapeshifting. (She would shapeshift into a Red Kite if she had this gift)
6. What are your fears? (please choose and explain 3 minimum)
Hospitals/Docters/Nurses, anything medical really. This does NOT stem from a fear of needles, but from a childhood experience that traumatized her. Aislinn acts irrationally in situations where medical attention is paid to her, and will quite likely try to run if she is able. It's a phobia for her.
She is also afraid of being confined or locked up. She grew up with the freedom of the hills, shutting her in a small place threatens her freedom. She is not claustrophobic as such, because if she knows she can get in and out of the space when she wants she is absolutely fine. But lock her in somewhere with no escape and she will become very agitated.
Tying her up has a similar effect and she will likely fight her assailent til she is free of the bindings.
As a youngster, a tourists dog got loose and chased her. While it didn't quite catch her (she slammed the door shut on its muzzle as she tried to barricade herself inside to escape it) it left her with a fear of dogs. With time she can adjust to individual dogs, a close friends dog for example, and can actually grow to like those said dogs. But in general she will actively avoid them, stepping onto the road if someone is walking their dog on the pavement (sidewalk?). If a dog barks at her, she gets away from it as fast as possible, and if it chases her she'll run like hell.
7. What is your character's strengths and weaknesses? (please pick 3 minimum of each and explain in detail how and why this affects your character)
Strengths -
Due to her upbringing outdoors, she is completly at ease out in the wilds, even in the dark. She has been completly alone in a forest in the black of night and didn't bat an eyelid, instead picking her way carefully through it on her way home, relying on her other senses where her sight was useless.
She is built for endurance, and is strong for a woman though she personally thinks its more because she has an active lifestyle instead of worrying about breaking a nail. Despite her stocky build she is remarkably agile, especially over rough ground where it barely hinders her pace. This is due to the environment she grew up in rather than a natural trait.
She is versatile in that she can put her hand to almost anything, though she specialises in very little.
She can, and likes to fight. She was trained in sword fighting for the tourist displays both two handed and dual weilding, but has never used the skills in a serious fight. She was also trained in archery and is an Ok shot. She can hit a target with the accuracy to maim, but lacks the finesse for being a sniper as it were. She has never used a gun.
Weaknesses -
Fearless; while some might see this is a strength, for Aislinn it is potentially dangerous. She is often not as skilled as she imagines herself to be and acts rashly in a fight, taking chances that a wiser person would avoid.
Despite her eagerness to fight, she immediatly feels bad when she inflicts injury and pulls back. Again this is more due to the fact she was not supposed to cause her collegues injury while performing and was punished for doing so.
Social skills; she was home tutored and rarely left the grounds of the estate so has little experience of social circles and stuff. She made new friends every summer, only to lose touch when they left again in the autumn. She doesn't really know what to say or do in some everyday situations, which sometimes makes her look a bit stupid.
Naive; She is rather awestruck by the whole city thing, and some things and concepts are completly alien to her.

Cosmetic Traits - Her eyes are a gold, ambery colour, a strange but inherited family trait that often skips generations.
Quirks and Habits worthy of mention - Aislinn is ambidextrous, writing with both hands at the same time being one of her party tricks. She is fluent in English and the local Gaelic dialect, and fairly adept at French though not fluent.
Personal History -
Aislinn is the youngest child and only daughter of a minor Baron in the Highlands of Scotland. She has an older brother, and a non identical twin brother who is as dark as she is fair. Surprisingly it is the older brother who shares her distinct eye colour rather than her twin. Her mother left them for another man when Aislinn was 5 and has never been seen since, leaving all three children to be raised by their father.
Their family was once of importance in the area, the Barony being much bigger than it is now. Now, all that remains is the old castle which is open to tourists in the summer months, 50 acres of land around it, and a hereditary title. The nearest village was 3 miles away and the nearest school even further, so Aislinn and her brothers were home tutored. Their father was more interested in her older brother, instructing him on the runnings of the barony as though it were still of great importance. Her twin had a genuine interest in it all too, so Aislinn was often left to her own devices. She knew it was mostly because she reminded him of her mother, a wound that had never really healed. She was the only female member of her family, her father being one of 2 brothers and having no experience of what a girl would want, so she was taught archery and swordfighting along with her brothers rather than learning the more traditional roles of a Baroness.
When not in lessons, Aislin would take off accross the hills exploring, sometimes taking her horse Murphy with her, other times on foot. The terrain was treacherous and craggy in places, and Aislinn became a fairly adept climber because of it. She would sit for hours watching the animals going about their ways around her, learning their movements and habits. There was even a family of wildcats in the grounds of the estate, but Aislinn fervently wished there were still wolves in the wild of Scotland, despite her fear of dogs.
When she was older she started helping with the tourists, performing battle scenes and falconry displays. In an unusual gesture of affection for his daughter, the Baron gifted her with a Red Kite, a very rare native bird of prey, and Aislinn was rarely seen without the bird far from her after that.
Aislinn enjoyed her life, but sometimes wished for a bit more excitement. She had been to Edinburgh twice in her entire life, and other than that she had never left the Highlands. Until now.
Her father had died suddenly, and her older brother took over the Barony. To top things off, some idiot mistook her bird for a pidgeon and shot it down, and this act seemed to upset her more than her fathers death. Deciding that now would be a good time to see what else lay beyond the Highlands Aislinn decided to leave. Her brother handed over her third of the inheritance which amounted to just under £1 million, which was enough to keep her comfortably on her travels.
She packed a backpack and made her way to the airport, buying a ticket for the first plane to anywhere. Heading towards the check in, she read the destination on her ticket - Nachton, USA.
