1. Describe your character's personality
Chandra is the polar opposite of her twin Celeste. She is the ultimate hedonist and lives for self indulgance and the various joys to be had from life. Honor and family duty are simply means to an end for her, they keep her living in spoiled luxury with all of the toys she has grown acustomed to at her disposal. There is a cruel streak in her that has been cultivated and nurtured by her Sire. There is another side to her, not shown to many, that craves to be dominated as much as she loves to be in control. For Chandra there are only two people in the world who really matter. Herself, and her twin. She cares for her younger brother and her cousins but in a “me or them” situation she’ll always pick herself over anyone but Celeste.

2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger :
Chandra loves to dress provacatively, primarily in tightly laced leathers and vinyl. Corsets, tight, short skirts and always in high heels. There is a very gothic twist to her appearance with heavily kholed eyes and long blood red fingernails. She comes across as bossy and demanding but she can turn on the charm and lure unsuspecting people in.

6. What are your fears?
Chandra is quite vain and even after being turned has an irrational fear of being disfigured or scarred. Also she fears a complete and permanent loss of the “finer” things that make her life comfortable and enjoyable. The thought of losing her sister terrifies her even if she won’t usually admit it. Also has a mild case of claustrophobia.

Personal History
Chandra was born on November 19th in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has a twin sister named Celeste and a younger brother, Calibre, as well as several cousins. It’s hard sometimes to differentiate them since they were all raised together. Her parents were killed in a plane crash with her aunt and uncle, leaving them and their cousins orphans.
They were all taken in by the family’s patrons, a wealthy vampire couple named Gustav and Elise De’Espionne who lived in the city as part of the social elite. The family line had always been tied to these two ancestors, as they kept their descendents interwoven in the businesses and gangs they ran, a type of vampire mob of mercenaries and thugs.
Growing up each of them was trained not only for high society, but also in martial arts, subterfuge and deceit. Gustav’s goal was to turn them into useful lieutenants and members of his organization, proper pawns to further his goals and pad his pockets more. He was a harsh, cruel and stern figure, with little patience or compassion. The lack of those traits was more than made up for by his tenderhearted wife Elise, a noble born woman who tried her best to be a buffer between him and the children.
For some reason Gustav was able to recognize in young Chandra a kindred soul and he took great pleasure in doting on her excessively and mentoring her in some of his favorite, and darker, passions. It was always easy for her to cajole the ancient vampire into being less harsh with her willful twin while they were growing up because of this fondness. Sometimes the younger of the two would even use the fact that they were identical to her advantage and they would exchange places so that any punishment that was meant for Celeste actually was received by Chandra. Receiving the lash was not the painful experience to her that it was for her sibling, since Chandra found great pleasure in the act.
She never was quite as good as her sister or cousin in certain martial arts but she made up for that deficiency in the areas of interrogation and torture. Inflicting pain and working her way through the nuances of discomfort to agony was like conducting a symphony to her. It was a gift and it was allowed to bloom under their patriarch’s watchful eye.
On the night that Gustav forced her sister to accept the Dark Embrace, she flew into a rage and demanded he turn her as well. They were equals, identical, two halves of one soul. Always willing to cater to her desires normally, he surprised her when he denied her request. Gustav had great plans for his favorite “grandchild” and wanted her to provide him with another generation of De’Espionnes to continue on the family’s service to him. Boldy laughing in his face, she proclaimed she would never be a mother, that was not her nature… if he had wanted that he had chosen the wrong twin to turn first. Knowing his protegee as well as he did, the truth in her argument was obvious but it only infuriated him. Chandra continued to press him, and was adamant that she age no more than her twin. Gustav made her wait several weeks before relenting to her repeated requests.. But when offered the dark embrace she accepted it gleefully, eager to embrace eternity.
