Rise and Shine (open)
Amir had been sitting very still for several hours. It couldn't really be called meditation although it had begun that way. Having finished with that he'd simply decided to remain seated where he was, just outside of the manicured gardens of Heolfor on the side of a very gently sloping hill with the stables and training arena in view, the lights of Nachton behind him. In the last day or two since his brush with Xephier he'd stayed close to home, plotting and planning their next meeting. He'd underestimated Xephier's resilience but he recalled clearly the last person he'd tried to enthrall with his Command, and he knew it took patience. That wasn't always his forte but he had a job to do, and he couldn't rush this or push it before it was time.
Things were moving along; he knew that time would come soon. The waiting periods, however, were always the worst. So it was time to wait it out on home soil where he could pace or prowl as he liked, or just sit quietly and think, staring at the stars as he was this evening. He had it in mind to go see Dana as well, but he'd wanted to wait until his frame of mind was better. For the first time since waking up from Xephier's syringe-induced coma he finally felt like his mind was clear and unmuddled by drugs; while the actual substances had long been out of his system, processed away by vampiric resilience, Amir's profound dislike for anything of that nature had left him irritable and disgruntled.
Tonight though he was finally free of that irritation and able to reconsider what had happened with open eyes... figuratively and literally. He was chagrined by his own overconfidence, having had plenty of success with Xephier's Pack thus far in Nachton. he wouldn't fall into a trap of his own making again, not now that he knew Xephier was capable of denying his Command at least for a short while.
Finally Amir heaved a long sigh and relaxed his posture, going from cross-legged and meditative to stretched out entirely, legs crossed at the ankles, arms behind his head as he lay back on the grass and lazily picked out constellations in the blackness above.
Giving a long stretch, from the tips of his fingers to the tips of his toes, Amir rolled gracefully to his feet and went off in search of Dana. It was completely likely that she wasn't at the Manor, and he figured he could call her, but looking for her had more appeal.
A soft knock on the door of her suite produced no reponse. She wasn't in he observatory, nor was she in the game room. He couldn't find her when he went down to the training arena, nor did a quick look into the stables prove productive.
At the end of an hour, there was only one room he hadn't checked. It hadn't really occurred to him to do so, and he didn't particularly relish finding her there, but he was nothing if not thorough so he found himself entering the Manor's pool area, pretty reluctantly, as it was his least favorite place to be.
But apparently thoroughness was to be rewarded, for Dana was, indeed, in there.
