Description (if an NPC) or name of your creator/gifter(if a PC) ( Please be as specific as possible, who your creator/gifter was, why he chose to change you, where is he/she now?):
Alfarinn - became Alexander's Creator to save him from a fatal infection after surgery on his knee to remove a cancerous tumor. We believe Alfarinn is quite alive and well in Nachton, but it could be his doppelganger.
Personal Questions
1. Describe your character's personality: Alexander, Alex to his friends, is friendly but generally somewhat somber and a little serious at times. He can be very quiet in large crowds but will loosen up in the company of people he's comfortable with. He's a fairly private person and doesn't easily open up. When he does, he's sincere, warm, and genuine. Depending on the company he's in he may also come off as a little surly and unapproachable due to his serious air and closed-off nature. Alex tends to gravitate toward women and they to him; he enjoys their company and considers them safe and once they understand his sexual preferences he usually turns out to be the perfect safe "best guy friend." He has been known to have brief relationships with women but he vastly prefers men.
Financially, Alex is thrify out of necessity. All of his savings have gone into his store and studio. He cuts corners on his own comforts in order to keep those running smoothly. He doesn't have a car or a cell phone. He doesn't own a computer for himself but has one in his shop.
2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.) Alex dresses very carefully. His clothing is always appropriate when minding his store; khakis, cargoes, or shorts with a polo shirt or sometimes a graphic tee. When out, casual-chic - jeans, a good shirt. When dressed to impress, a well-tailored suit - although this happens infrequently due to he nature of his job. He isn't body-shy. He looks good and he isn't afraid to wear fitted shirts, and will frequently go topless during yoga or tai chi classes. He won't dress flamboyantly or to grab attention. He dresses to fit in.
3.What does your character like? Yoga, Tai Chi (obviously), camping, hiking, anything outdoors. Mountain biking, jogging, adventure racing, orienteering. Fantasy and sci-fi novels, gaming during rare periods of downtime, movies. Foodwise Alex will eat almost anything but is very health-food minded and prefers to stick to organics.
4. Dislike? Clutter and mess; Alex likes to keep his areas organized and clean. He's not OCD or anything; his DVDs aren't alphabetized... but he does straighten up after himself habitually. He doesn't particularly like meeting new people, mostly because he's afraid of their reactions to him. He's generally friendly when given a chance but often getting him to say hello is like pulling teeth. Alex can be impatient at times which doesn't always make him the best salesman however when teaching classes he finds large measures of patience. He appreciates effort and doesn't like indecision.
5. (For humans) Describe what abilities you see your character having if they were turned.
Agility, Blending, Sending, /shrugs, is up in the air.
6. What are your fears? (please choose and explain 3 minimum)
-Prejudice. Alex's parents were not supportive of his lifestyle choices. Seeing him tending that way at a young age they did their best to encourage him into more masculine pursuits; they bought him the trendiest clothing for boys, decorated his room the way they thought they should, etc. As a result Alex is certain he will be shunned wherever he goes. He hates the stigma of being pegged as "different."
-Alex doesn't like the dark. Night time is fine but pitch black scares him. He has panic attacks if in total or near total darkness. He always overpacks flashlights and lanterns on camping trips and keeps flashlights in every room of his apartment, shop, and studio. He doesn't like to be blindfolded and even his sunglasses are as lightly tinted as possible.
-Insignificance: Alex doesn't like to stand apart from a crowd but at he same time he wants to do something good with himself, something people will look upon as admirable. He envies people who "march to the beat of their own drum" as it were, because he's been so repressed he just can't let loose enough to do so himself. He's afraid if he can't figure out how to be someone extraordinary he'll just go through life unremarked, unloved, and unnoticed upon his death.
7. What is your character's strengths and weaknesses? (please pick 3 minimum of each and explain in detail how and why this affects your character)
Strengths
-Physical: Alex is very athletic and keeps himself in good shape. He doesn't smoke, rarely drinks to excess, and is very concerned with what goes into his body. He's not exactly a health nut but is very health-conscious. As a result he isn't sick very often and can handle a great deal of physical exertion.
-Acceptance: Alex has learned to accept himself as he is although he doesn't expect others to. Because of this, he is more accepting of flaws or foibles in others and willing to work with them instead of finding them odd, repulsive, or deterrent in any way.
-Kindness: Beneath his closed-off exterior, Alex is a caring person who doesn't like to harm others or see them harmed. He's very much a "helping hand' kind of guy, not afraid to help an old lady carry her bags across the street, not afraid to lend a hand where it is needed. He doesn't care if other people see him as weak, geeky, or foolish for doing small kindnesses.
Weaknesses:
-Insecurity: While Alex accepts himself as he is, he doesn't expect anyone else to and doesn't like the stigma of being different from everyone else. He constantly questions himself, his image, his appearance, his style, etc, and works very hard to blend in with the "normal" crowd.
-Sarcasm: Alex covers up his insecurities often with sarcasm, making him less approachable when he really isn't unfriendly - just shy. His initial reaction in almost any situation will be to make an acid comment and he can come off as rude, blunt, or uncaring if he doesn't watch himself.
-Private: Growing up in a straightlaced household, Alex learned that his liberal opinions weren't well-accepted. Because of the bias shown against him by his own parents, Alex decided the rest of the public wasn't going to be any more understanding. Therefore he keeps himself closed off and doesn't open up easily to others.

Quirks and Habits worthy of mention - None notable.
Personal History 3rd person (1st is acceptable) but please be as detailed as possible, this can/will affect your rp with other players.
Alexander Aristos is the only son of Gregory and Beth Aristos. Their entire family is of Greek heritage and are able to trace their family line back several centuries.
From the time he was a young boy Alexander tended to be a little less than masculine; his parents worried about him and did their best to push him into what they considered appropriate hobbies and pursuits. Alex would have done these willingly, since he enjoyed them, but his parents were a little overzealous and pushed very hard for him to be just like all the other boys. Alex began to understand that being different meant being teased, ridiculed, and in some cases being beaten up.
Alex didn't want to disappoint his parents so he did everything they expected him to; he got good grades in school, joined a lot of sports teams, dated plenty of girls. He spent most of his teenage years feeling like he was living a lie. When he finally graduated from high school he argued with his parents about moving out. They worried about letting him have so much freedom and he wanted to be free to explore his own life. After a huge fight Alex left home to move in with some friends.
He didn't go to college; instead he picked up a job as a trail guide and survival expert in the Blue Ridge mountains of West Virginia. He learned yoga and tai chi, drawn to them for the peace of mind they seemed to impart. He also stopped denying his own homosexuality, which ostracized him in the small town culture of West Virginia and upset his parents even more. Alex was determined to find some measure of peace in himself, however, and wisely figured that denying his nature would only bring stress. His parents stopped talking to him and vice versa. He moved away from West Virginia around 20 or so and into DC where he spent two years in complete rebellion, partying, drinking, smoking, experimenting with drugs.
Around 22 or so Alex came to his senses; one of his friends was walking home from a party drunk and was hit and killed, ironically, by a drunk driver who'd been at the same party. It was a wake-up call for Alex, who wasn't really the partying/smoking/drug abusing type. He moved once again (across the city), got a steady job as a lifeguard at an indoor pool, and took out a few student loans. He managed to get himself into a community college and worked hard at staying out of trouble and getting good grades. He began to talk to his parents again on and off, and graduated with his two-year degree in business management at 24.
Alex has spent the last 5 years working two, sometimes three jobs, doing what he enjoys and staying as "outdoors" as possible. He lived as crudely as possible, stashing away as much money as he could in his savings account. He hasn't mended fences with his parents by any means, but they're on speaking terms again. He doesn't visit for holidays but he has started calling to wish them well and they've returned the sentiment.
He's put a lot of energy into his yoga and tai chi, learning enough to become an instructor himself. He's obtained various certifications needed to teach them as well as his lifeguarding certification of course. He's also taken several different courses on wilderness survival.
Having saved up enough money to do what he wanted, or close to, Alex decided to move to Nachton, far enough from his family for some breathing room but not so far that he'd closed the door completely. To his surprise once he found an appropriate building his parents helped him make the down payment on it, and he is now the owner of a modest three-story building in downtown Nachton. On the first floor is his store, Roughing It, specializing in all kinds of outdoor gear and camping/backpacking supplies. The second floor he turned into a studio. He gives yoga and tai chi lessons several times a week and makes a little bit of money renting it out to a karate instructor during his store hours as well. The third floor is his own apartment, which very little of the money went into. Calling it a fixer-upper would be putting it kindly but he's making a slow profit and working on it a little bit at a time.
