The short Asian woman went past her and up the side of the building. Tavi figured it would only be a matter of time before she was back this way. Her partner in crime, however, was down on the ground and they could hopefully be off before their victim got back.
She followed the cat into the crowd of people and hoped that the person following them hadn't taken the time to get a really good look at her. Damn, but now was not a good time to have brightly coloured hair.
"I hope you know what you're doing."
Catch of the Day (attn:Mara)
The Sushi Bistro was not the most original name Tavi had ever come across but she hoped they had food fresher than their title. Swinging open the door, she walked in with her head held high, ignoring the other patrons.
What? Didn't everyone wear cats as collars these days? They are all the rage this year.
Walking up to the man behind the counter, she smiled at him pleasantly.
"I would like an order of Tekka Jyu to go, please."

The hair was brilliant, it so easy to keep track of. Pak was small enough that weaving through the crowd wasn't much of an issue, and she had a lot of practice so she was making good time.
She was making good time and would have, possibly, probably, maybe caught them except her phone rang. Reflex was a powerful thing, Pak froze in her tracks and, cursing, pulled her phone out of her bag.
Yup intern from hell. Doing her best to be calm and rational, she tried to explain to the girl that she really needed to deal with her supervisor. By the time she managed to end the call she'd both lost sight of the hair and her will to chase after them.
More profanity followed, but she stalked off to her car and back to work. Maybe she could eat the intern. She'd have to check the company handbook first though. Or maybe Kem could explain how he'd handled Drew.
((OOC... Pak out))

Mara led her friend away from Pakpao as swiftly as she could but the other vampire was feisty and difficult to lose. Mara didn't miss the telltale ring of the phone, however, or the subsequent short rant. She took advantage of what she hoped was a decent distraction and used it to cut sharply into another alleyway. From there she doubled back, weaving between buildings, until they were finally further up the strip from their original starting point.
They stopped near a small playground which was mostly deserted this time of night. Nosing the gate open Mara padded in, heading to the set of swings on the far side and leaping gracefully to the top of one seat, which swayed slightly back and forth as she settled on it.
She owed Pak an apology... if Pak had seen her, that is. Mara imagined she'd find out the next time they met.

Tavi followed the cat through the crowd; not as easy a feat as it sounded either. The woman chasing them wasn't much taller than her so there went the advantage of easily gliding through the crowd and getting away.
Saved by the phone!
She only glanced back to make certain it was the Asian woman's phone that had rang and that she was indeed stopping to answer it. Tavi then counted her blessings and moved on.
"Thank the Gods! I thought she was going to catch us for a moment."
Whoever she was the woman did a much better job of keeping up than the policeman did earlier that evening. Tavi followed after the cat who had headed into the park. She took the swing next to her companion and heaved a contended sigh of relief. This had been an extremely fun night.
"So, should we do this again?"

Mara let the swing rock her gently back and forth. Her lips curled up in a manner that could have been pleasure at the movement of the swing or amusement at the woman's words. She tilted her head carefully as her companion spoke. After a few moments' thought she fixed her pale eyes on her and nodded once.
She fixed she woman's scent in her nostrils, keen perceptions and feline senses mingling to remember the particular odor of the woman with the bright hair. Hopping from the swing she butted her head against the woman's ankle and trotted off through the bushes at the back of the park.
Mara would find her again. There would be much more fun in the future.

The cat nodded once and then said her goodbyes. Tavi smiled and continued to swing, pushing higher and higher. It would be good to have a repeat of the mischief they managed to cause. It was a great stress reliever. She did wonder who the Asian woman was and why a vampire would be worried about her reaction. Perhaps she was a friend? a boss? Maybe even an older vampire in the same pack...or whatever it was the mulo had. Tavi giggled at the thought of hitting some ancient crusty vampire with a ball of rice.
Priceless!
Not likely, the woman looked pretty modern and even had a cellphone. The old ones all dressed like they were from the middle ages or something, right?
Probably the cat's boss. Do vampires work? Definitely the night shift. Ah well, perhaps she could ask the cat next time. Or perhaps they would just be content to cause trouble.
Either way, she needed to go get her bike and go home. Tavi waited until she was at the highest part of her arch and then vaulted off the swing. Landing neatly, she started at a nice job back towards the parking garage.
