- Being a complete disappointment to his family - There are times when Gris feels like he can do nothing right as a Grayson, sometimes he rebels in small ways. For the most part though he has always striven to make his father proud of him.
- Never being happy - His family's needs and wants play an important role in his life, including his choice of career and personal relationships. Educated - Gris has had a lot of schooling from the finest establishments his family's money can buy. He's no slouch when it comes to learning new things and actually enjoys it.
Determined - It takes a lot of tenacity to go through law school, especially when its not your career of choice, for parents who never appear pleased. This same tenacity helps win cases and catch targets.
Sociable - Gris has spent his life in boarding schools since the age of six. He has moved around a lot and learned how to make friends and be charming when its useful to him.
Sharp tongue - He's a lawyer and is used to making sharp cutting comments that tear another person down. Sometimes he remembers not to do that outside the courtroom and sometimes it just slips out, especially while bored or irritated with a situation.
Oppressed by family opinion - Gris feels that he never lives up to his father's expectations but he keeps trying to find that thing that will make his father realize he's a good son. The family's opinion is at the fore in his decisions and anything that is contrary to what they want weighs heavily on him.
Concerned with public appearance - He likes to party but doesn't want to end up on a the cover of a tabloid with no pants. He does all he can to appear his best in all situations. Looking put together at all times is important to him.

Garran Grayson was the perfect son, responsible, clever, charming. His younger brother, Greer, wanted to be just like him and followed him around everywhere. They were about four years apart in age. Garran had been gifted already and was an important part of the pack. Greer couldn't wait for his own gifting and the day he could be considered old enough for such an important event.
It didn't happen at all how he thought it would.
The two of them had been playing out in the Scottish countryside where the pack was currently residing. They had wandered pretty far away from the Kumpania and there was nothing much else around but several flock of sheep. The boys spent some time chasing the white furry animals until, bored with that game, they started running after each other.
Garran was chasing Greer when he ran too close to the hillside and tumbled over it. The hill was steep enough for the little boy to tumble down it quickly, bouncing and rolling to the bottom. It would probably not have been so bad except that Greer hit his head on a large stone towards the bottom.
Garran was frantic. He didn't want to leave his brother alone. Blood was gushing everywhere and no amount of yelling or jostling was waking Greer up. Eventually, he made a drastic decision. He gifted his brother in the hopes that the healing powers of the werewolf would keep him alive. When dusk set, at the first opportunity, he changed forms and climbed up the hill to head back to the pack. Unfortunately, as he was climbing to the top, a shepherd heard the noise and came to look. Seeing a large wolf and a human body at the bottom, he shot first and asked questions later. After several more bullets the wolf stopped moving
The man's sheep were nearby and other predators would be drawn to the carcass of the wolf so he lit a fire and threw the body onto it.
People came with lanterns looking for two boys. They seemed upset by the fire and the wolf. The shepherd told them the sad news of the boy's body at the bottom of the hill. The people went and got it.
According to the pack the event was a tragic accident and they were simply glad that Greer managed to survive. However, Garick Grayson could not seem to forgive his second son's involvement in the death of Garran. He was distant to his son, despite his brother, Godrick Grayson, the Alpha, advising him to embrace the heir he had left. Garick couldn't stand the constant reminder of Garran's absence. Greer was that reminder, never good enough to replace the loss.
Greer was sent to boarding school, even Godrick thought this might prove to be the best thing for father and son but the rift never really healed. Greer tried to be the dutiful son and the rebellious son, but all he turned out to be was the forgotten son.
He grew up, obtained several degrees and a law practice. He is still the forgotten son but he keeps trying to find the thing that will make his family proud of him. His boarding schools were already in the US so when more and more Vyusher started collecting in Nachton, he wasn't that far away. He came to see if he could help out his people and at the same time finally earn his place as a honored son of the Grayson family.
