Personal Questions

1. Describe your character's personality:
Aden is rather quiet, choosing to listen to others rather than talk over them; she's found it pays off to gather information. Due to her compulsive over analyzing, people tend to think that Miss Cain is a bit slower than the average southerner.

2. Describe how your character would appear to a stranger (I.E. typical dress, way they carry themselves etc.): Clothing of choice would be tailored jeans and a fitted blazer; various blouses or t-shirts selected for the day's errands. When attending a social event, the chances are she would over dress, as opposed to being 'shabby.' Clothing aside, Aden carries herself with impeccable posture: shoulders down, chest out, back straight. Her movements are fluid and she walks with the confidence from mastering one's wants and desires.

6. What are your fears?
Drowning. Growing up as a member of a yacht club, most would assume that Aden was as comfortable on water as she is on land; unfortunately this is not the case. As a result, she avoided large bodies of water when possible.

Snakes. Most insects and reptiles don't seem to effect Miss Cain much, if at all. Spiders, flies, bugs. Annoying, but never freighting except for snakes. Those serpents and the way they sliver send shivers up her spine every time.

Elevators. While small spaces generally don't register on her list of things to avoid, this small box does. Gliding up and down steel ropes is not something Adenline enjoys and she especially dislikes the queasy feeling that comes when you reach your selected level.

7. What is your character's strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths:
A.) Retaining information. Aden doesn't simply hear what people say, she stores it. At the age of 7 she was diagnosed with Eidetic memory, when she could recall large volumes of conversation with nearly perfect recollection. This allows Aden to work as an telephone operator with little to no difficulty, but negatively effected her college experience.

B.) Discipline. Having danced ballet for most of her life, Adenline has learned the difficult task of putting needs before wants; even when it is unpleasant. This allows her to push through most situations.

C.) Her accent. Although it seems to be a double edges sword, the soft southern accent seems to allow the girl to talk herself out of situations. Having learned to enunciate without her twang, she has noticed a difference in when she uses it and doesn't; occasionally pouring her accent on like honey to get her way.

Weakness:
A.) Stubborn. As hard headed as a mule, this 'trait' seems to be more trouble than it's worth. Refusing to change her mind, occasionally to spite others, has cost her more than she'd care to have lost.

B.) Pride. One of the cardinal sins seems to have sank it's roots in her. Although she is perfectly aware that pride isn't power, Aden would go out of her way-- even if it cost her what she want, rather than to bend to the will of someone who'd try to embarrass or shame her. Adding this weakness to her stubborn demeanor seems to get her into hot water.

C.) Anxiety. Although Miss Cain rarely suffers from attacks these days, severe anxiety can have her curled in a ball crying for a way out, when there's actually nothing to escape from.

Personal History

Born and raised in the east end of Louisville, Kentucky, Adenline Cain spent her childhood dancing ballet and attending a private academy. The daughter of a debutante and a trust-fund baby, many believed her upbringing to be equivalent to that of royalty. None of her friends were aware of her father's gambling debts or her mother's severe bulimia. Between long days at the horse races and shopping trips littered with frequent binge and purge visits to the bathroom, Aden learned to say little about her parent's habits.
As the only child, pressure to please was overwhelming. Adults from either parent's social network were constantly circling, whether in the house or at events; ruthlessly trying to pick information out of the girl. With time Miss Cain developed the ability to close people out entirely while maintaining a charming and 'pleasing' countenance.
As she grew, Aden advanced in both art and school. The latter relying mostly on her ability to absorb information as given in the class room-- her home life left little room for study. Still, Adenline was able to apply herself in the class room and graduated from her academy with honors; earning acceptance into nearly any college of her choosing. Electing to stay close to home, she decided to go directly into college after high school, even opting to stay in the college dormitories. However, after handing in several perfect exams, many of her professors determined that Miss Cain was a thorough cheater; claiming audible memory was nothing more than a myth. Expelled from school and cut off from her family, Adenline left with her savings and headed east.
