Just A Little Nightcap (attn: Greer)

Josh wasn't sure when the last time he'd talked so much was. It wasn't that he was usually horribly quiet, but with Gris conversation came easily. They didn't discuss anything terribly intense in the trip from the restaurant to the apartment Josh was calling his own for the next week or so, but the trip still went quickly.

When they had parked and run back through the persistent rain to the doorway, Josh held it open for Gris ti go through. Once in on the other side he closed the door firmly behind them and looked around the living area. It was empty. He suspected Mel wouldn't be there but he would check.

First, though, he reached out to Gris's shoulder, turned the other man, and stepped close. Wrapping his arms around his narrow waist Josh leaned in and kissed him. He hadn't been able to see Gris's response in the restaurant although he had felt it and heard it. Now his deprived eyes wanted their fair share, so he kept them open although his lids sank down briefly with pleasure at the feel of Gris's lips.

Pulling away Josh smiled.
"That's better." He looked around at the dark apartment. "Please. Make yourself at home."

He held up a finger, indicating he would be right back, and went to poke his head into 'Mel's room.' It was empty. He returned quickly to the front of the apartment.

"Gretta must have decided to go out after all."

Entering the open kitchen, Josh located the coffee and everything they needed for two cups.
"Do you like it strong?"

He raised his eyebrows at Gris, well aware that in their current mood that question could seem somewhat loaded... but Josh didn't clarify his meaning. He just let Gris interpret it the way he wanted to.

Gris smiled at Josh's instruction and dutifully held on tighter, one hand slid lower and clutched the firm ass that he had been admiring not long before. He gave the cheek beneath his fingers a little squeeze, not quite able to stop himself. He loved that Josh enjoyed being touched and held It wasn't for everyone; though having sex without touching was difficult. He had yet to manage it but he hadn't tried very hard either.

As Josh began to move faster, Gris removed his hand from Josh's ass with a final lingering brush of his fingers before his brought it to join the other on his lover's back. He wrapped his legs up over Josh's hips, tilting his own with each movement, flexing his legs to help drive himself to meet every thrust. He was breathless with desire already, murmuring little sounds of enjoyment as Josh moved within him.

The light touch along his length was startling in its gentleness; he felt his erection twitch with each stroke of his lover's playful fingers. Gris moaned, desperately writhing against Josh, silently begging for more. Thankfully his companion seemed willing to comply and soon Gris was lost in a haze of pleasure and mindless lust, moving with stroke and thrust.

It took very little of such attention and their driving pace for him to find release. Gris arched as he came, clutching Josh so tightly that it had to be painful. His body froze in that moment of blinding pleasure, every muscle tight as the world dropped away for one brief moment.

When he came back to himself, Gris smiled up at Josh and stroked his back gently. "I didn't hurt you did I?” He tried to be careful but for a moment he was so far gone that he was not entirely sure whether he squeezed too tightly or not.

"That was...wonderful.” Gris thought that it was a good thing that he was staying in Nachton and had come to the conclusion that he could see someone more than once. Giving up sex like that would have been very difficult and giving up Josh...Gris was beginning to think that would have been impossible. He already wanted to spend as much time as he could possibly could with the man. He wasn't ready to declare undying love but there was obviously an infatuation unlike any he had experienced in a long time.

He leaned up and gave Josh a tender kiss, running his fingers through his lover's short hair. "At this rate we might want to start that hike around noon.”

Josh was vastly relieved when it seemed he wouldn't need to hold out any more... because his estimate of a minute was, perhaps, a bit optimistic. He felt Gris's arms tighten around him, stronger than he would have guessed, and it felt wonderful. He broke away from his partner's lips to let out a hoarse cry as the first waves of climax swept through him. He felt Gris gripping him tightly, arched toward him with his head thrown back as he came, and Josh was pretty sure he'd never seen a more captivating sight. As each subsequent throb of pleasure rocked him, that memory was etched into place. Even if they did this a hundred more times, he would recall Gris's face in that moment.

Gasping, slightly breathless, he furrowed his brow a little and looked down at Gris's words. He shook his head, not sure why Gris would have been worried about hurting him when it was Josh who could easily have done the hurting.
"No, of course not," he reassured his partner, dropping a soft kiss to his lips in return for the one Gris offered.

He'd have asked the same question in return but Gris seemed fine. His face was relaxed, his blond curls tousled and a little damp perhaps. His smile was beautiful.

Josh chuckled softly as their hiking trip was pushed back. He kissed Gris once more.
"It doesn't matter when we get there," he said. "Nachton will be there all day. Wait here just a moment."

He carefully withdrew himself with a soft moan of satisfaction, although he was already wondering how long it might take him to be ready again - and if Gris would want to repeat this experience. He shook his head to himself and headed to the bathroom, where he washed himself off quickly. He returned to the bedroom with a warm washcloth and sat on the bed next to Gris.

Leaning down he kissed Gris once more, and then proceeded to clean him gently. Josh didn't know if that gesture would be appreciated; not everyone would like it. To him, however, it seemed like the sort of thing you should do. Josh preferred to care for his partner, to demonstrate his affection and his appreciation. Gris didn't have to give himself, but he had and it had been wonderful.

When they were both clean Josh lay alongside the younger man, tugging the light blanket up to ward off the chill of the air conditioner and overhead fan. He rested his hand lightly on Gris's stomach and smiled down at him softly.

"Do I have to convince you to spend the night?" He asked, his voice just above a whisper.

He didn't know if Gris would but Josh wanted him to, very much. Sex was one thing but he was reluctant to see Gris off. He wanted to fall asleep with him and wake up with him still there, maybe love him again as the sun rose outside the window. Gris might have other plans, though, so Josh didn't push. He just made the offer and then let it go.

Josh seemed to be fine. Gris smiled at the small kiss and the reassurance that Josh was indeed perfectly healthy. He eased back on the bed and lay there content for the moment.

His companion seemed perfectly agreeable to moving the hiking trip to a time later in the day. Gris thought that was a good plan because he was sure that he had not had enough of Josh tonight and he hoped that his lover felt the same way.

He was told to wait in bed a moment, Gris nodded, not inclined to go very far. He stretched languidly as Josh climbed out of bed and headed toward the bathroom. Placing his hands behind his head, Gris closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of running water and Josh moving about in the adjacent room.

There was a dip in the bed as Josh placed his weight on it. Opening his eyes, Gris smiled at his companion as he was gently cleaned. It was a consideration that he was not always given and he appreciated it greatly. There was just something very ignoble about rushing to the bathroom as your own sperm ran down your chest.

"Thank you.”

Josh climbed up into the bed with him again, pulling the blanket over them both. Gris looked up at him as Josh leaned over him and asked if he required convincing to stay the night. With a mischievous grin, he asked. "What if I said yes? Would there be more of the same?”

Reaching up, he slid his hands up Josh's chest, over his shoulders and around to his back. Gris pulled his companion down for a lingering kiss before answering the question. "Yes, I will stay.”

Gris let Josh go so that his lover could settle down onto the bed, then he curled up next to him, laying his head on Josh's shoulder and wrapping an arm over his waist. "I could not think of a better thing to do with my Friday night. I hope you tipped that cabby very well because I think we should thank him for stranding you and your partner for deciding you both needed to stand out in the rain.”

Josh couldn't help reaching out and caressing the side of Gris's face. He looked so gorgeous lying there on the blue bedsheets, golden hair like a halo around his head. His words, though, were far more impish than angelic and Josh laughed softly, the sound rumbling through his chest, pleased to have an answer to his private question about a repeat episode.

"Already, more?"

He was pulled down and kissed with sweet, deliberate slowness. He moaned softly and drank in every little taste he could get, savoring it thoroughly before it ended.

"If you aren't too sore, or tired, I think I can manage more of the same."

Even now, after that delicious kiss, Josh felt his body awakening again. He wasn't ready to go yet, but he would be before too long. As they settled onto the bed, Gris curled up with his head against Josh's chest. Josh wrapped his arms around his partner and held him, surprised to feel this closeness. This wasn't a one-night stand. He felt it deep down. Gris felt good here and Josh would like him to stay for a while. Maybe for more than a while. Hope made him feel buoyant.

"Sometimes Gretta has an intuition about things that's a little scary in its accuracy," he said with a smile. "But yes, the driver was well compensated for his inconvenience."

He let his fingers drift from Gris's shoulder down his arm, then to the angle of his hip and back up. Josh was afraid he'd wake up tomorrow to find this all an incredible dream. He pressed his lips softly to Gris's and smiled.

"I haven't done this in years," he admitted. "Since... since Gretta and I lived in Germany."

He had been about to say, since his last relationship. But he didn't want to pressure Gris, nor did he particularly need to dig up old ghosts. Everyone had a failed relationship story. Josh's was no different. He was over it, it was well in the past, and he hadn't jumped back into the dating pool simply because he had other pressing concerns, not because he had any lingering issues. He would gladly explain all about his past boyfriends to Gris if he asked. There wasn't exactly a long list.
Greer Grayson 12 years ago
"Not just yet.” Gris smiled, heavily implying that he would be interested in more sex with Josh in the very near future. It was good to hear that his companion also felt that he would be up for a repeat performance. Gris did not think Josh was old but he did know that his own regeneration was not exactly normal. He also did not know what kind of day Josh had had, aside from the standing out in the rain; it was entirely possible that he might have been extremely tired and just wanted to roll over and get some sleep. "I am not too sore. I promise."

He listened to Josh explain that Gretta had a certain intuition about things. He raised his eyebrows and his head to look over at Josh. "About what things? Getting you dates?” Kissing Josh's chest, he stopped his teasing. "Interesting. Is it specific or just general random things?” He knew that some of his people were able to warn the pack of danger. Intuition was real in his book; he suspected that anyone could possess the talent, at least a little bit.

Gris murmured soft encouragement as Josh lightly stroked his side. He wouldn't say that he liked to be petted exactly...but yeah, he did. He probably would like it in wolf form but no one had ever gotten close enough to try except his own kind and one just didn't pet a pack mate. (Unless you knew them really really well. )

Josh confirmed his guess about this situation being a rare occurrence for the diplomat but the time frame startled him. Gris partially sat up, "Years?” Green eyes searched grey ones looking for confirmation of that statement. "Why now?” Why him? He ran his fingers lightly over Josh's chest, wondering what was different. Feeling bad for even, for the briefest of moments when they first met, considering treating Josh like the rest. He deserved much better than a one night stand after waiting years. Gris was intensely curious about what was different. "Well if this is you rusty...” He grinned wickedly. "I can't wait to see you after some serious practice.”

Drawing little designs on Josh's skin with his finger, Gris absently watched it as he confessed to a much different past. "It hasn't been years.” He glanced up at Josh before looking down again. "It hasn't even been a week.” Close, He hadn't gone out last Friday; it had been Saturday before he could cut loose and go looking for someone fun to spend an evening with.
Joshua Wesson 12 years ago
"Okay," Josh said when Gris stated he was neither sore nor tired. He leaned down and brushed his lips gently over Gris's temple, very happy to know what was going to happen in their very near future. That Gris even wanted him again was a miracle.

His partner asked about Gretta and Josh considered for a moment.
"Well, not just that," he said. "She's just one of those people who always knows what to say or do to make things go smoothly in any situation. I try to learn from her, but she's the master."

Mel's ability wasn't unique among their Pack, but it was certainly useful in their profession. How many lives had she changed, being able to target just what someone needed in order to fit in to their new life, and understand what was happening to them?

He raised his eyebrows slightly at Gris's surprise but nodded his head, confirming that it had, indeed, been years. Why now? Because there was something about this particular man that had made him want to reach out. He gently tugged Gris back down to him and kissed him slowly.

"Because I'm going to be here for the long term," he said easily. "I learned last time that the traveling schedule doesn't suit everyone. I may be gone here and there for some business but I should be in Nachton mainly."

They'd discussed that at dinner and Gris had seemed fine with it as long as Josh was planning to come back. He smiled at the compliment and slid his arm around Gris's waist, hugging him close.
"It hasn't been long enough to forget what goes where," he said with a little irony in his voice.

He watched Gris closely, then, as his partner informed him he'd been with someone else last week. The news hit Josh like a hammer but he didn't let it show; Gris was outgoing, fun, and undeniably gorgeous. People probably threw themselves at him and he obviously wasn't in a relationship. Why should he be celibate?

Josh felt the familiar burn of humiliation and gritted his teeth against it. Just because he'd been cheated on once didn't mean he had to apply that stigma to Gris; they had no arrangement. Gris was free to do as he chose, see who he wanted. Perhaps that would change in the future but Josh would be an idiot to try to extract a commitment from someone he hardly knew.

"Did you just leave a relationship?" Gris hadn't been specific. Was Josh his rebound? Or was Gris just a partier? Either way he reached out and captured Gris's hand, the one that was stroking him lightly. He brought Gris's fingers to his lips, as Gris had done earlier, and gently kissed each one. "Whoever it was was a fool to let you go. I hope... that I can make you happy. For however long you like."

If a rebound man was all he was, well, Josh resigned himself to the fact that he couldn't make Gris feel something he didn't. He didn't want Gris to be sad though, or hurt. Maybe he could take some of that unhappiness away. Help him move on, if that was what he needed. He was, however, planning to do his best to make leaving difficult. It had been too long since Josh had felt this way for him to roll over without a fight.

Josh really admired and respected his partner; that was obvious from the way he spoke of her. Gris liked that. He had also seen that Gretta was protective of Josh or at least interested in his well being. That had been clear when she had asked his intentions toward Josh. They seemed to work well together. He couldn't imagine what that was like. It had to be like working with a close friend or family member, someone you had known for years. That was something he could only try to imagine as well.

It sounded as though Josh's constant travel had broken up a past relationship and, like Gris, he had decided not to pursue anything serious after that. However, they differed on the rest of their strategy.

He was asked if he had just left a relationship. Every week, like clock work was the immediate answer that popped into his head. Gris turned to Josh and smiled softly. "No, I haven't been in anything I would call a relationship since Uni.” He had settled down and stopped moving for a while because of that relationship. It was the first time in a long time where he felt truly wanted for himself and with a partner who had depth, personality and confidence. He could have seen himself with Alexander for the rest of his life. Gris had been looking forward to building a life together and had been planning on introducing his partner to his family. He had felt that strongly about their relationship. Unfortunately, Alexander did not feel the same; he had graduated and moved on, calling their relationship a 'fun time' that he would always remember.

Looking up at Josh's words, he smiled, defending the guy who had 'let him go'. "I didn't really give him a choice. I didn't give him my number and I drove him back to his car that was still at the bar afterward.” Gris smiled sheepishly. "That's probably pretty horrible."

He was touched by Josh's words and sweet gesture; he wondered how the man could already want to make him happy and be sure they would last. Maybe he wasn't but Josh seemed willing to try. "You're different.” He smiled crookedly before leaning down to give Josh a gentle kiss on the lips. How many times was he going to tell Joshua that? "I have already given you my number and I came inside after bringing you home.” Gris had even said that he would stay the night. That spoke volumes about how different this was for him.

"I traveled a lot from place to place after University so I tried to stay away from serious relationships. I didn't know what I was doing or where I was going. I couldn't hurt someone by becoming involved and then just packing up one day and saying this didn't work out for me.” That happened to him and it didn't feel good. "Nor did I want to be hurt. I'll be honest.”

This didn't seem like the typical first date sort of conversation. It was far too serious. Gris laid back down, nestling close to Josh once more. "So, if we're really going to do this. You're going to have to tell me more about you.” Gris squeezed Josh tightly, stretching his legs and arching his back. He then rolled part of the way over so that he could rest his chin lightly on Josh's chest. "Favorite colour? Style of music? Board game?"
Joshua Wesson 12 years ago
Gris turned toward him as he spoke and Josh continued to hold him, letting his hand wander along Gris's soft skin. He let his lips quirk up in a half smile when Gris proclaimed his previous action to be horrible; Josh simply lifted his shoulder noncommittally. He didn't really know the details of the situation. He couldn't say if it was horrible or not.

"We all have our reasons for the things we do," he said gently to Gris. Josh wasn't going to blame him for past actions, and he left it at that. He judged people on the facts that he knew.

He kissed Gris back, tempted to pull the other man close and draw it out, ignite the spark of passion once more. His body was beginning to stir again, starting to remember what they'd done just a little while ago an want a repeat. He ignored it for now; it would grow and consume him again but that time wasn't here yet. For now it was just a hint.

The words Gris spoke made him wonder. It might have been easy to jump to the conclusion that this was not going to work out for them. Josh wanted commitment and Gris seemed to be afraid of it. From what he divulged Josh thought that, perhaps, the packing up and leaving had happened to Gris. But there was more to it. Josh did not act hastily, in spite of the fact that he was here in bed with Gris, so he didn't assume anything.

What he knew of Gris was that he was sweet, kind, smart, and gentle. Friendly, yes, outgoing, very much. Josh thought there were two different sides to him. The outside, the outgoing man moving from place to place who didn't stay in relationships. And the inner one, that sweet sensitive core that Josh thought maybe, with patience, he could touch.

For that reason he didn't write Gris off at all. That, and because Gris was different to him, too. Josh wanted this to grow. He wouldn't try to push Gris into a relationship he wasn't ready for. Hopefully it would grow on them. It was too early to say.

He hugged Gris tightly when he claimed he didn't want to be hurt.
"You are different to me, too," he said, smiling back at him. "Most people I meet think I'm some kind of unemotional deviant."

Gris didn't seem to think so. He didn't seem to mind Josh's tiny, difficult-to-read expressions. It might seem insignificant but to Josh it was staggering. Gris seemed to read him and understand him. That didn't happen every day.

"If we're really going to do this?" Josh let his voice warm a little, trying, anyway, to convey the fact that he was teasing. "What's 'this?' Talk all night? Have sex again?"

He knew what Gris was referring to but he made light of it. It was so important to him, but he didn't want to frighten Gris off by imposing boundaries and restrictions on him. His plan was just to be there. A lot. And hope that it became second nature to Gris to rely on him, to desire him, until eventually the idea of committing wasn't a deplorable one.

As Gris rested his chin on Josh's chest, Josh gave a soft hum of desire. Having Gris in such a position was definitely moving the recovery process along. He spread his hands over Gris's shoulders and caressed his back. "I'll tell you anything you want to know. I like purple the best, I think. And maybe blue. I listen to and play classical music but I like a wide range. When I compose it's a mix of classical and contemporary, I guess. And I don't play many board games. So I don't think I have a favorite."

He'd played very few games growing up. he had been too busy acting as a pint-sized buffer between his sisters and the world. Board games had not been a part of their normal entertainment. Because Gris wanted to know more, Josh wasn't going to make him fish for information. He continued speaking.

"My father was in law enforcement in Liechtenstein. When I was eight, he was shot and killed in the line of duty. My mother was already of a nervous, more delicate nature, and the death of my father shattered her. She went downhill very quickly. Stopped taking care of herself, and of us. My little sisters and I were on our own. We have a very large family but no one really knew, at first, just how bad it was.

"Eventually my grandparents realized what was going on. The whole family sort of descended on us, but we were such a tight group by then it became me against them. It was hard to let them into our inner family circle. I still felt responsible for my sisters and my mother, and I was only twelve. So I grew up taking care of them all."

He smiled down at Gris.
"Board games didn't happen very often," he said. There was no bitterness in his voice. Josh had made his peace with his past, if he'd ever been at odds with it, which he didn't think he had been. It was just how it was. You took care of your family, they took care of you. You protected them and cared for them always, unconditionally. That he'd sacrificed his entire childhood to do so didn't really occur to him.

((ooc: Josh's thoughts about Gris are pure conjecture based on what he knows. Any fear of commitment, etc, is simply speculation on his part and not meant to imply that he knows anything more, or is even correct in his assumptions.))
Greer Grayson 12 years ago
Gris hadn't been terribly serious when he said that he was horrible but Josh's statement made him feel a little bad for it. Not for the guy he only saw once but because Josh might have lost some respect for him. It was obvious that Josh did not approach relationships the same way that he had over the past few years.

He didn't feel guilty exactly just somewhat embarrassed. He had made it very plain to the man what he had been looking for and it happened to be agreeable to him. At this point he had his starting conversation down to an art form. As soon as they appeared interested in leaving for some place more private he had the disclaimer speech. If they were still interested then at least they couldn't say he told them up front before they went anywhere and did anything. Still there were some who looked for another night and those that asked 'when can I see you again?” after they were done. He rarely took them up on those offers and requests.

Whatever Josh might have inwardly thought, he never paused his gentle caress. Gris pushed any further worry aside and went back to simply enjoying the moment.

Josh claimed that people saw him as an unemotional deviant and Gris was somewhat puzzled by that title. "No, I'm pretty sure I have seen unemotional. You smile, don't appear to be carved out of wood or have a stick up your ass so I would say you are a normal functioning member of society.” He smiled and thought of one of the lawyers he had been working with since he came to Nachton. Gris didn't think Mr. Houng was unemotional either; he was just very reserved, traditional; one might even say guarded. However, Gris never assumed that Bao didn't have emotions, whether he chose to display them or not. Josh was, by comparison, quite easy to read. "I find your lack of drama to be refreshing.”
He wasn't interested in drama queens or drag queens; they just weren't his thing.

The question he asked received some interesting requests for clarification. Gris smiled and nodded against Josh's chest. "All of the above but I was speaking of dating. You know, seeing each other a second time, maybe a third?” He smiled and then tilted his head back so he could look up at Josh. "But only if you want to.”

Gris watched Josh as he talked about his favorite colour and type of music, making mental notes of the answer. The board game question he had thought would have been an easy one but apparently his companion had not played very many. Josh then went on to explain about his father and how he started taking care of his family at the age of eight, after the devastating loss of one of his parents. He had been six when his brother had died and he had been trying to find the best way to cope with that loss, and everything that had happened because of it, since then. Gris would not claim to have mastered it, even now.

"Wow.” He leaned up and kissed Josh gently. Leaning back, he smiled. "You are amazing.”

Tracing a line down Josh's chest, he mused. "We'll just have to remedy that. Once I get settled into a place perhaps we can have a little house warming party, invite a few people, bring a few games, make some delicious food...” This staying in thing sounded nice. He could be with the people he wanted to be with without the loud music, obnoxious idiots and cab fares. They weren't even discussing sex and he was still excited about the idea, maybe even more than he would be for the potential for future sex. In a perfect world, their friends would stay, be interesting and social and then leave and he could enjoy Josh on a more personal level. Yes, Gris added that to his daydream/plan. "There is this game called Settlers of Catan. It is easy to learn and then...” He smiled. "It is difficult to explain but its about strategy. The board is different every time so the game is a little different every time. There is another one called Pompeii. As you might imagine, that one has to do with surviving a volcano. Oh, and if Kiyoshi plays then we have to play Arkham Horror or something like it because we get to work together on that one.” It was long and involved but fun with the right people. They would almost need a full night just to play it. "Or munchkin. Not a board game, not cooperative, just silly.”
Joshua Wesson 12 years ago
Josh enjoyed watching Gris as they lay together, completely relaxed. He was a handsome man, made more so by the way they reclined together, stretched out naked on the bed, as if they had no cares in the world.. And as far as Josh was concerned they didn't, not tonight. It was rare and unusual for Josh to indulge himself this way but he couldn't help it. He had wanted this so badly.

He was pronounced drama-free and he smiled and shrugged again, as much as he could in this position with his arms full of gorgeous blonde.
"I don't do drama, in spite of how we seem to keep meeting," he said. That much was true. There was enough drama around him in every day life without the need to promote it. In fact, Josh's job was mostly about cutting out drama.

He let his hand drift over Gris's side once more as his partner responded to his teasing. His smile grew a little; smiles seemed to come a lot more easily to him with Gris there.
"So, does this count as one, or two? Do I get re-evaluated after three? Because if so, I've got to get cracking."

He leaned up a little, tilted his head down a bit, and kissed Gris as he looked up at him. It wasn't the slow, lazy kiss of a sated lover but the edgier, hungrier kiss of a man contemplating another round, which was what Josh was currently pondering. Gris had expressed a desire for more of the same and Josh wanted to give him that as soon as his body decided it was ready for it. With Gris lying so intimately against him, it wasn't taking nearly as long as Josh had feared.

They continued to talk for the time being, and Josh raised an eyebrow at Gris when he was kissed and pronounced amazing. Josh shook his head and lifted his shoulder.
"No, not really. That's what family does. How could I not take care of them?"

Josh didn't see anything amazing in it. He had fallen very easily into the role he had, and it just seemed natural more than anything.

He let out a soft sigh of pleasure when Gris played with his chest. He listened as Gris seemed to get a little excited about the prospect of remedying Josh's board game issue, already planning a get-together in his potential apartment.

"You make it sound like a lot of fun," Josh said. Gris listed a few games he apparently enjoyed, and Josh reached down to hug him close, warmed by his enthusiasm. Clearly Gris was envisioning a future that Josh was still in, for unless Gris got an apartment, say, next weekend, then there would be more than a few dates involved. For some reason, that idea lifted Josh's spirits to new levels and made his heart beat that much faster.

"I'll play any game you like," Josh said with a soft chuckle. "I'm at your mercy. My experience is limited to a few card games and some Trivial Pursuit. I might have played Parcheesi a while back, too."

He brushed Gris's hair away from his face and let his fingertips trail down his partner's neck.
"It sounds like a good housewarming," he said softly. "Now you just need the house. You know, if you want some company when you look..."

Josh made the offer lightly, casually. He didn't want to come off too clingy, too stalker. What kind of date would that be? It seemed more like a relationship activity for a couple moving in together. Josh continued, though.
"I wouldn't mind seeing how the real estate market in Nachton is managed. Since I need to find a place, too."

Maybe it would sound less odd if Josh approached it from that angle. But in reality, he just wanted to spend more time with Gris. He wasn't planning on buying a place right next door or anything. But it might be prudent to rent a real apartment if they were going to date. He could hardly continue to stay here at the office, and he couldn't really bring Gris back to the Den without a reasonable explanation for why a diplomat would have a residence at what appeared to be a private college.
Greer Grayson 12 years ago
"This counts as one. Falling on me, while an original way to meet someone, does not count as a date.” Gris stated with a certainty that suggested there was some law somewhere to that effect. He smiled at Joshua and continued. "There will be a formal evaluation on the fourth date so you have time to really give it your all.”

The kiss that he was given was enough to clear his mind of any more teasing of the subject of dates and Gris found himself very focused on this one. He made a small sound of disappointment when that intense embrace was over and pressed himself more fully against his companion. "You are doing wonderfully, in case you are wondering.”

They talked of family and it was painfully obvious that Joshua had a different experience with his familial relations than the one that he had experienced. He had always heard that family was supposed to support each other but he rarely got a chance to see it. Gannon and Gavin had always been there for him; their father had even expressed his disappointment and disapproval of his brother's treatment of his only living son but that didn't seem to change anything. Greer's sister talked to him but they were not truly close; it had nothing to do with lingering ill will but more to do with distance. They hadn't grown up together and that bond of shared childhood experience was missing.

Joshua seemed agreeable to the idea of night of friends and board games. Gris stashed the idea away for the near future. He needed a realtor first and some housing suggestions. Once a place was picked out then he could get started on making it a home.

Tilting his head down to Josh's chest, Gris closed his eyes as fingertips played along his neck. "Company sounds good and you need a house also. So I don't see why we couldn't tour houses together. It will save gas and make the day less of a chore.” With Joshua there, it would likely be a lot of fun. He wondered briefly if he would mind horribly if they were neighbors. It could be awkward if their dating went awry and they stopped seeing each other but if that happened he could just start staying at The Rails more often and rent his apartment out for a while.

He sat up and rolled over to straddle Josh. Looking down at him, Gris smiled. "So, since we have dates two and three lined up, if one considers house hunting a date. Perhaps you should get cracking after all.”
Joshua Wesson 12 years ago
Josh smiled warmly at Gris, who seemed to have complete confidence in his date-counting. "Yes, sir," he murmured. "One it is."

Gris's response to his embrace was all the aphrodisiac he needed. The little sound as Josh pulled away almost drew him right back again, but he tried for a little more patience.

Gris was very quiet on the topic of family, so Josh didn't ask him about it. Josh had offered up his own information because Gris wanted to know about him and Josh had no reservations. Gris, on the other hand, had already expressed a desire to keep certain information, such as his age, out of the equation. Curious as Josh was, he didn't mind. Knowing those little details about Gris would be nice, but in time, he hoped, his partner might open up even more. Reaching for the sun on date one was just begging to get burned.

He continued to gently stroke Gris's neck, since it appeared he was enjoying it, as Gris gave his approval for them to go house-hunting together.
"It will be fun," he agreed. Fun was a word that didn't often enter into Josh's daily vocabulary, and while it seemed a little awkward coming out, it felt perfectly right in context with the man in his arms, who seemed to be of a fun-loving nature. Perhaps that would be good for him, having someone around who could get him to lighten up. Maybe.

As Gris shifted positions, Josh hummed softly and closed his eyes momentarily in pleasant anticipation before looking up at Gris.
"Now, I think we've been here before," he said, observing their position. He sat up, feeling the pleasant flex of muscle as he did. Thank goodness for physical fitness. Reaching out, he steadied Gris while he slid back just a bit to rest his back and shoulders against the headboard. Bending his knees he pulled Gris toward him, hungry eyes on him the whole while, and kissed him again. There was no teasing to it this time; Josh made his desires clear with lips, tongue, and teeth as he explored his partner's mouth. Breaking away he traveled down Gris's neck, nipping gently, stopping at the joint of neck to shoulder, where no one would notice a mark beneath a dress shirt.

There he sucked on Gris's fair skin, massaging gently with his tongue, until a faint red mark appeared. Josh pulled away, looking at it with approval, glancing up at Gris to gauge his reaction. It wasn't a dark spot but some people reacted violently to such things. Josh only paused for a moment; he wasn't nearly done with Gris, and Gris was clearly not finished with him either. His partner's prediction of a busy night was certainly true.

"Perhaps.” Gris smiled. "But I liked it the first time so I thought I would revisit the same spot.” He watched Josh slide backward toward the head of the bed. He even helped slightly by moving closer on his knees but he didn't relinquish his seat astride Josh's lap.

The kiss was enough to make it plain that talking was over for the moment. He couldn't agree more with that decision. They would have all the time in the world to talk tomorrow while out looking at green growing things.

With a sigh of pleasure, he held onto his partner as Josh kissed a line down his neck, Gris rocked slowly against his lover, his eyes half closed in pleasure, loving every light touch and warm kiss.

All movement stopped when Josh found a place and sucked hard enough to make a small mark. With a low moan, Gris gripped Josh tighter, his movements a little more frenzied. He understood and approved of the placement, thankful that Joshua had chosen a place that would be hidden during the daylight hours by his normal monkey suit. He loved that Josh wanted to mark him, at least that is what he inferred from the gesture. His lover had shown a slightly possessive streak earlier in the evening and Gris found that kind of nice. It didn't appear to be overwhelming but enough to say that he was deeply desired. So long as that was how it remained, Gris could really enjoy having a possessive boyfriend.

Raising his eyebrows, he smiled. "So, that's how its going to be, is it?” He found it highly amusing considering his own particular talents for marking. If they wanted to play that game, Gris was certain he could win in the indelible mark department. However, it would take something serious before he would ever do that to Josh without his permission. He would have to be walking into certain danger or something equally life threatening. Gris didn't think the diplomat would be doing that any time soon.

Leaning down, he found a spot that along Josh's shoulder that would be equally covered by a dress shirt; there he made a mark of his own. Gris brushed his lips over it and then blew a cool breath over the heated skin. Sitting back up, he smiled down at his companion. "There, that's better. I don't mind being someone's so long as they are mine in return.” He smiled and leaned back down. "Consider it ownership at least until the mark wears off.” Gris smiled against Josh's skin, thinking to himself that he'd just have to make another mark in a few days.

Josh made a little growl of pleasure at the sight of that sexy smile on Gris's lips. "I like you there," he said approvingly.

While he wasn't against it, taking his partner from behind wasn't his favorite position. He liked to be able to see someone's face, to hold them close. Josh didn't enter into a sexual encounter without having some sort of affection for his partner. He wasn't sure he'd feel the same way with a one-night stand but he hadn't had many of those. Or really, any. And he didn't want to.

He loved every response from Gris; he was such a sensual person, so expressive. His soft moans and gasps didn't seem contrived at all, but genuine sounds of pleasure and enjoyment. Josh could never tire of hearing those things. He loved them; they drove him on. He'd been with quieter partners before and he didn't like it as much. The things Gris did were... well, they were just about perfect without him even knowing Josh liked it that way. It only made him want to pleasure Gris more.

Gris seemed to approve of Josh's mark; in fact, he leaned down and marked Josh in return while Josh clung to him and tilted his head away to give Gris access to his neck. He raised his head and regarded Gris with intense grey eyes when the blond nestled against him for a moment. He stroked his fingertips lightly down Gris's back, careful not to let the cast on his left wrist scratch Gris's skin. Cupping his hands around his partner's hips, he slid them down further to his ass and pulled him closer yet, pushing up against him.

After that obvious caress, he let his fingers dive into Gris's gorgeous golden mane, gently encouraging his partner to raise his head and be kissed again, thoroughly, soundly.
"Consider me marked, then," he said when he broke away briefly. Ownership could go both ways after all. If he was going to get possessive, he would enjoy Gris being the same.

That affirmation spoken, he continued to kiss his partner aggressively. Josh couldn't get enough of his taste, the feel of his tongue. He loved that Gris matched him; not submissive but not battling against Josh for supremacy. Just an equal sharing between two people who very badly wanted to feel that delicious fulfilling sense of release again.

His body was more than ready. He was rock hard once more, as if that had even been in question. His heart pounded against his ribcage, knowing he was about to experience that incredible feeling again. Josh dropped one hand from Gris's hair, gently making little curling circles over his partner's chest, stroking the pad of his index finger over hard beaded nipples before brushing over his abdomen into the soft golden nest below. He broke away from Gris's lips and dipped his head to gently trail warm kisses across his neck and collar bone while his hand sought and found Gris's shaft, taking him in hand and stroking him from base to tip, enjoying the feel of him.

He didn't speak anymore but let his actions convey his feelings. He found Gris gorgeous and wanted to do his best to pay homage to not only his body but his beautiful spirit. He wanted to take his time this time, having thought they'd gotten the initial lust out of the way, but with every little movement desire rose again until it was a needful fire in his chest. It was Gris who did it, he thought. He was someone different, absolutely.

Josh didn't seem to mind belonging to him and Gris was pleased to have further confirmation that his companion was not domineering despite his possessive streak. He suspected that the quiet part of Josh's nature was the larger portion and that the other was something that he might battle with. Gris briefly wondered about Josh's past lovers. Had he always been possessive or had someone given him cause?

He seemed protective and Gris loved that. He could now understand it after hearing Josh explain how he had taken care of his family from so young an age. Personally, he didn't need to be protected; he had been on his own since his brother's death, dealing with life's little benchmarks and traumas alone. But in a happier time, his brother had protected him. To Gris it was a sign of love and family. It was the strongest impression of family he had from when he had a family. He vaguely remembered dinners with his parents, outings as a family and that sort of thing but it was Garran that he remembered most.

They say you look for a relationship that is either the same as your family life, or if it were truly bad, then something completely opposite. He supposed that might be why he always found protectiveness to be especially appealing. It was irresistible in Josh.

Moaning against the mouth that covered his own, Gris approved of the feel of Josh's hands on his ass and being pulled even closer. He couldn't help but notice the hard length of his partner's erection pressing into him from below. He wanted it, again, already.

A part of Gris's attention followed the seductive trail of Josh's hand and the other part was focused on continuing to convey his desire through his kisses, opening himself to his lover and exploring in return. He loved the aggressive dance of Josh's tongue and the mounting sense of urgency that appeared to be echoed in his partner's advances.

Gris pulled away, gasping softly as a hand curled around his length and began to slide along it in a long smooth stroke. He looked down at Josh and smiled. "Noon might be an optimistic estimate.” Tilting his hips, he gyrated in a slow steady rhythm, grinding himself against his partner.

Reaching for the tube that Josh had set aside earlier, Gris slid slowly backward, not wanting to pull away from the hand that was touching him. He warmed some of the gel in his palm and then applied it to Josh's length. Grasping it gently, he spread his fingers downward along the soft loose skin beneath and slow drew them back up again before fully wrapping his hand around Josh's erection once more. He made extra certain that he coated his lover thoroughly. It wasn't just for his own sake; in fact, it wasn't even mostly for his own sake, Gris wanted to touch and tease in return for the attention he was being given.

Watching his hand as it moved along Josh's length, he sighed softly. "You make it so hard to be patient.” He wanted to be feel Josh inside him again. It had been truly remarkable the first time. Perfect. It was difficult to find perfect, almost perfect happened rarely enough. Good seemed to happen often but perfect that was special.

Gris's soft gasp as Josh slid his hand up and down was gratifying. He met Gris's green eyes and chuckled softly when their projected date was speculatively pushed back. Josh slid his fingers over Gris's tip, swirling them gently around. "Whenever we get to it, will be perfect," he said softly. "We can stay like this as long as you want."

He certainly wasn't going to object. This was mind-blowing. Incredible. Beyond not having had sex in a while in general, it had never felt like this in particular. Silently Josh blessed Mel for having the foresight to return to the Den, which is where he assumed she'd gone. Yes, maybe he should have restrained himself but at this moment it was hard to see how something that felt this wonderful could possibly be wrong.

As Gris moved against him he groaned. He was never going to be able to hold out of he kept doing that. He increased his pace, moving his hand more firmly along Gris's erection; if his partner was going to torment him so pleasantly he was going to do the same.

Josh couldn't hold back a long moan of satisfaction when Gris's hand gripped him after that light teasing touch and brief exploration.
"My God," he swore softly, panting lightly. "You're driving me crazy."

And he wanted to get there.
"Want you..." he said, gritting his teeth against the sensations that were flooding him, reaching to his very core. "So badly."

It was Josh who felt urgent need this time, when he had tried for patience earlier.
"Then don't be," he said when Gris confessed to some issues with that state.

He wrapped his large hands around Gris's waist and encouraged him to lift up. As they came together, eager to feel that tight bond, Josh couldn't resist from thrusting upward just a bit. He was careful, though. The angle was so much deeper in this position, with Gris riding him, he didn't want to hurt him. He was doing his best to let Gris control everything.

Josh cried out, part sob of pleasure, part moan of desire, as he felt Gris's warmth around him again. A part of him cautioned strongly; he hadn't used protection, he should be more mindful of Gris, but this felt so damn perfect, so absolutely amazing, that he disregarded it, threw caution to the wind, and pressed himself up and up and up, deeper and deeper until he couldn't possibly go any further.

He wrapped his arms around Gris's waist, stretched up just a little to kiss him again.
"You feel incredible," he said breathlessly. "Are you all right? I don't want to hurt you."

Even as he spoke, his hips were shifting restlessly beneath Gris'. He was throbbing, pulsing, so hard, so ready. Barely into it, and he could come at any moment. He bit his lip and fought back the sensation, determined to at least enjoy the anticipation for a little while longer this time.

Gris smiled and shook his head as Josh reiterated that they could leave to go hiking whenever they managed to get to it. "Well, no, it is harder to see what you are looking for at night.” Not impossible for his kind, not even very difficult, but he wouldn't want to take a human out to go exploring the woods at night. He could see the terrain but his companion would need a light source and that just wasn't as much fun, nor would he want to be responsible for Josh injuring himself while out there in the dark. Plus there were other predators out at night that weren't around during the day, ones that Gris would not want to fight off alone. Of course vampires were more likely to be hunting in the city; at least he'd think so...unless there were vampires that ate animals? Maybe.

His hand glided along Josh's length and he savored the smooth texture of it. Josh protested his thorough exploration, claiming that he was driving him crazy. Gris smiled and continued for another stroke or two before lifting himself up enough to coat himself. He was much less patient with that part of the proceedings, still feeling relaxed and stretched from earlier.

Josh's words and the obvious desire behind them made him feel wanted and special. A part of his mind, the cynical portion, said that his lover hadn't had sex in years. That he would be wanting anyone so badly right now; it didn't matter that it was Gris. He pushed the thought aside, happy to be the one here now, whatever the reason. He could make sure that Josh needed him, and wanted only him, in the future.

Strong hands steadied his hips as he raised himself up and leaned back enough to press Josh into the right position. Gris eased himself slowly down, guiding his lover into him with slow steady movements. Once Josh had partially entered him, he could feel his lover thrusting upward, eager to be inside him fully. Gris smiled and eased himself down the rest of the way.

Tilting his head back, he let out a low satisfied moan. This was perfect. Gris took a moment to revel in that delicious stretch, the feel of his body accommodating his partner's girth, accepting it. There was nothing quite like this sensation. Absolutely nothing else felt this way, both hard and soft, throbbing and alive.

Josh leaned up and Gris looked down in time to accept a kiss. He smiled and brushed a hand along his partner's jaw. "So do you.” He shook his head, curls swirling around his shoulders, no Josh wasn't hurting him, far from it. "I am wonderful. Thanks for asking.”

Gris began to move, experimenting with the feel of Josh buried so deeply. He rarely had partner's so large and though he was hardly a virgin, it was something rare. Rising up, he pulled nearly away before sliding down again. He moved slowly, easing in and out several times at the same slow pace. Then he raised himself up again and dropped down more quickly, feeling Josh buried inside him as far as he could go.

His partner had been stroking him steadily and it was going to quickly be too much. Gris reached down and placed a restraining hand on the one wrapped around his length. "I want to enjoy you.” Not that he hadn't the first time but he knew that he would get wrapped up in his own pleasure and rush to the end if Josh kept up at that pace.

Leaning down, he kissed Josh on the cheek and then moved toward his ear. Murmuring softly, he said. "You know if I lose cases next week. I am blaming you.” He would be replaying this night over in his head often in the near future. "The prosecutor will cross examining and I will be hearing you tell me you want me...” Gris smiled wryly. "I just hope I don't blurt out 'Yes,Josh' instead of 'Your Honour' at the wrong moment.”
Joshua Wesson 12 years ago
Josh stopped moving and stared, breathless, at the sight of Gris straddling him with his head tipped back. He savored the sound of that moan of pleasure issuing forth from his partner, replaying it in his head even as their lips met. This couldn't be a brief affair. He didn't want it to be a brief affair. He had to make this as perfect as possible for Gris. It was already perfect for him.

Gris reassured him that he was fine and Josh relaxed. He didn't think Gris would lie; if he was, he was an award-winning actor because he certainly didn't appear to be in any discomfort. Josh continued to stroke him as he moved, loving the feel of velvety skin in his hand, wishing he could lean down far enough to take Gris into his mouth again.

He gasped in shocked pleasure as Gris dropped down on him faster, then looked up as Gris slowed his hand. His lips curved up into a soft smile and he nodded
. "Go very slowly,” he advised, shivering with anticipation. Josh wanted to take their time too, much as he was burning with desire. He let his hand release Gris's length with one final trailing caress. Then he slid his hands around Gris's hips once more and, with his partner's full weight atop him, slowly rolled his hips, grinding gently against him. He could hold off, especially since Gris was inclined not to drive him too far too fast, either.

Josh laughed softly at Gris's words.
"If it gets too distracting,” he said, his own lips very close to Gris's ear as well, "you have my number. I can always come... help.” His eyelids lowered and he sighed softly, pleasantly, as he moved beneath Gris. "Diplomatic relations and all.”

He spread his hands up Gris's back, letting them rest just beneath his shoulder blades so that he could lean back a bit if he wanted. Josh bent his head and began to tease his partner's chest slowly with his mouth. Kissing each pectoral softly he made his way inward at a leisurely pace until his lips brushed a hard, flat nipple. Taking it between his teeth he bit gently, then sucked for a moment.

When he looked up at Gris he said,
"Is there anything in particular you would like me to do? Aside from the obvious, of course.”

Josh wanted to know everything Gris desired. What turned him off, what turned him on. New to each other as they were, he didn't want to take anything for granted. He was perfectly happy exploring, as well, but it never hurt to ask.
Greer Grayson 12 years ago
Gris nodded at Josh's directive and then shrugged. "I'll try. I can make no guarantees.” His partner had removed his hand and already he was wanting it back. A part of him wanted to rush frantically to the finish.

Josh moved beneath him causing him to moan softly and alter his rhythm. He slowly began to move, raising and lowering himself to meet each one of his lover's upward thrusts. It was enough to make him near dizzy with pleasure. Gris held tightly to Josh's shoulders, steadying himself as he moved, trying to remember to maintain a slow steady pace.

He chuckled softly as Josh's offer to 'help' him with his daydreaming problem. Gris smiled and briefly entertained just such a fantasy. It was only a moment, a blur of suits, skin and frantic touching. There was the sound of footsteps echoing on marble floors and voices speaking in hushed somber tones somewhere out of sight. "Yes, I can just imagine that request. 'Your Honor, I would like to request a brief recess so that I can be shagged near senseless. I believe it will be beneficial to my case.”

Any lingering daydream was banished when Josh leaned down and began to rain kisses down on his chest. Gris watched through lowered lashes as his lover moved steadily toward one nipple. Gasping softly, he tightened his grip on Josh's shoulders even more as his companion took it between his teeth and bit it gently.

Sighing when Josh pulled away, he shook his head in answer to Josh's question. "You are wonderful. I like it all.” He loved the way Josh kissed, he loved the way he touched, what he said, what he didn't say...It was all exactly right.

He didn't want to tell Josh what to do or not do when his companion was already doing such a superb job. Gris didn't think that he could have planned this out any better than it was going. To ask for something specific might mean to miss something even better that he hadn't thought of.

Tilting his head back down, he realized he did have one request. "Kiss me again.”
Joshua Wesson 12 years ago
Josh smiled slowly when Gris nodded and then shrugged. It was good to know he could try Gris's patience. It gave him a little more confidence in the fact that perhaps his skills weren't entirely rusty. He was happy with a slower, more leisurely pace but if Gris decided to rush forward Josh wasn't going to stop him. They had all night yet, and, he realized with a little thrill of pleasure, all day tomorrow. Josh hadn't expected such a weekend but he couldn't imagine anything else he'd rather do than spend time getting to know Gris better.

As they rocked together, Gris's hands tight on his shoulders, Josh took in the delightful sound of another moan from his partner. He wanted to keep them coming; he loved the sound. His companion's soft laugh was welcome as well as he described what was going on in his imagination to Josh. Josh couldn't help but smile and laugh softly in return, although he didn't have a witty comment to add. Such things weren't necessarily natural to him. He did find the prospect of offering such aid very appealing though.

That Gris had no further requests for him was gratifying as well. Josh was glad; he had known partners who became so wrapped up in their own pleasure they neglected to consider the person they were with, but he couldn't be that way. He knew he and Gris were compatible; that much was very very evident, but if Gris had a favorite touch, something that gave him pleasure beyond anything else, Josh wanted to know it. There was no such direction though, and it warmed him inside; he couldn't have given Gris any more direction himself, either. Everything was incredible.

Then he was asked to kiss Gris again, something he certainly didn't have to be asked twice for. He moved his left hand from Gris's back, sliding his right arm further around him to embrace him tightly. His left thumb gently brushed a line along Gris's jaw as he slid his hand back into those soft golden curls to cup Gris's head.

"Gladly," he murmured softly. Leaning forward, pressing himself upward, deep inside of his partner, he captured Gris's mouth once more. A soft moan of his own issued forth as he lightly teased for a few seconds, his tongue flickering gently against his partner's.

It was so perfect. So delicious. Josh uttered another soft growl against Gris's lips and deepened his kiss, wanting to hold this moment forever but also wanting to kiss Gris while he came, to feel his climax through every part of his body. He moved his left hand away and let it fall once more to his partner's erection but didn't stroke again. He simply caressed it gently, his movements contrasted by the comparative forcefulness of his kiss. He could get lost so easily in Gris, and for tonight, that seemed like a perfect way to go. If he hadn't already. He suspected he might have, and for once his reliable, dutiful, steadfast self was just fine with that.
