An Evening's Entertainment (lock please)
Sorin sat at the bar in Club Eternity. Sure there were booths for privacy but he wasn't here for that, he was there to be seen. Wearing a black tailored suit, dark grey shirt and no tie, he felt that he looked elegant and yet not over done. It was always important to look comfortable in your surroundings, confident and at ease. This he always managed with practiced grace.
Holding the glass of Gevrey-Chambertin from Domaine Armand Rousseau, Sorin surveyed the the crowd from the mirror behind the bar. Perhaps there was a likely candidate for some evening entertainment and a possible after dinner meal.
He was in a good mood for a change, things seemed to be going his way. Soon Thaddeus would find the Wolf and hopefully him and Mai would take care of that little problem for him. The boy would come back satisfied that his revenge had been measured out to its fullest. Thaddeus could then take his proper place at Sorin's side as his apprentice, with the question of Emma's murderer out of the way, he could finally embrace the boy without fear of him finding something out.
Sorin took a sip of his wine and savored the ripe rich flavor, it was clean and complex with a gently oaky taste, perfect for his current state of mind.
Sorin, you sound like a human having a mid-life crisis. It's quite unbecoming.
She quickly took on a more somber tone.
Unfortunately, I must decline on the offer. My tastes tend to the more dignified. Looking a bit thoughtful, she added. It is a shame Emma couldn't be here to join us. She could put on quite the show. Morrigan looked into Sorin's eyes. But I know you are quite familiar with her talents. It's too bad she hadn't the time impart them to her successor.
Sorin took a sharp intake of air at the mention of Emma, especially in such a context. Bloody savage wouldn't know talent if it walked up presented itself in full poetic prose right before her lifeless blue eyes.
Going back to looking bored, Sorin ran a finger lazily around the rim of his wine glass. Raising an eyebrow at Morrigan, he said. "You wound me so and have I not been the gentleman? I believe you are simply proving my point. There would be less bite in the old bones if you let someone thaw out the ice every now and then."
He turned to Ellis and whispered. "Its how she keeps her youthful appearance...being frigid has its uses, don't you think so? I'm not sure its worth the price though, perhaps I'm wrong?"
"Its how she keeps her youthful appearance...being frigid has its uses, don't you think so? I'm not sure its worth the price though, perhaps I'm wrong?" Sorin whispered to her.
Ellis grinned, 'I doubt seriously Morrigan deserves the Ice Queen label,' Ellis replied to Sorin. Then she gave Morrigan a side glance, 'Hate burns deep, it warms the soul, wouldnt you say, Morri dear?'
This wasn't her fight but she'd watch and even fuel the flames a little. She still found the bitterness between to clans members, elders no less, odd to say the least. The hate ran deep with these two. An ending to it would be no less than catastrophic.
Ellis only wish she had some popcorn.
"Hate burns deep, it warms the soul, wouldnt you say, Morri dear?"
The words flashed through her mind. If only she knew how deep. The hatred had evolved into many things over the last two-thousand years, but it was still pure hatred at its core. A hatred that drove her to calculate and plan for a perfect ending.
Thoughts raced through her mind, but only a second had passed. Realizing she had not answered, Morrigan turned her attention to the woman and finally addressed her by name while wondering if the younger vampire even realized the significance.
Quite poetic, Ellis. Perhaps your talents also run with the arts, but I would advise not stealing the spotlight from your companion. He does not take well to those displaying more talent - especially when it is a woman who does not know her proper place.
Morrigan flashed a warm smile and straightened herself up.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I will leave you to your evening. I would love to stay and catch up, but I do have other matters to attend.
She nodded politely to them both and looked over to the door of her private room to see her guards poised and waiting.
((ooc: Morrigan out, pausing for any words from her humble hosts))
"She adores me, really." He chuckled.
"And the sooner she admits it, the sooner we could end this silly charade. But no.." Putting a hand to his chest, he sighed dramatically. "She has to continue playing these games. For propriety's sake...of course." Sorin winked at Ellis and then picked up his wine, raising it to salute his departed clanswoman.
"To appearances." And with that, he took a sip, amused at the whole encounter.
((Feelin nothing but love for you, Morri...really ))
Suddenly her small cell phone rang and after giving Sorin a wink, she checked the display. Hmm, it was Simon. She silenced the ringer and then turned to Sorin.
'Darling, duty calls.' She gave him a pouty look and slid closer to him. She gave him an innocent kiss on his cheek. Before pulling away she whispered, 'You must call me, I think we have things to discuss over tea, crumpets, the whole sha-bang.' She emphasized the word by nibbling on Sorin's ear, sucking at it lightly. She stood up from the booth and gave him a lecherous grin.
'Ta.'
((ooc - going but waiting on Sorin's final word))
"Always working." He sighed sadly and looked into his drink. "Its like I hardly see you any more. Is this what our relationship has come to?" Sorin grinned up at Ellis, all acting aside and said. " We should definitely 'do lunch' ....a late lunch."
He growled softly as she nibbled on his ear and watched her go with hungry eyes. "Ta..." Sorin resumed his search of the club for something worth some sport and a meal with more interest now that Ellis had warmed up his appetite.
((OOC: Sorin out))
