On that note (private)

They were both so cute that he didn't want to wake them. Jan had drifted awake vaguely remembering some dream of Germany and a river cruise down the Rhine. Frankfurt had been lovely but his inability to lie still any more finally caused him to slowly return to reality. It had been a beautiful trip filled with beer, music, boats and more. They had talked and chatted, taken pictures and relaxed as they drifted along looking at the familiar landscape. Jan pointed out various castles and towns and told stories of people who had lived there. Sometimes the dream showed the countryside as it had looked in his early days as a young vampire, green and vast, with villages here and there instead of larger cities.

He sat up and found a piece of paper and something to write with and began composing some music that had started to form in his head while they were dreaming. Evgeni had become very good at not disturbing his musical dreams and had even began to add violin additions and harmonies to the creation process of his pieces. Julian had played several of those dream inspired pieces with Nox Aeternus and Jan gave Evgeni creative credit on the songs. He was looking forward to these dreams with two musically inclined friends in the future.

Evgeni woke up while he was still writing. Jan put down his composing after a moment and then looked up and smiled.
"Have a nice time?' Leaning over, he gave his companion a good morning kiss in greeting.

"Yes, I did.” Evgeni looked over to where Julian continued to sleep. "I hope he is sleeping well also.'

Jan shrugged.
"He seems peaceful enough.” He grinned mischievously. "We could always wake him up and ask him.” This statement was accompanied by him leaning over barely inches above Julian's face before tilting his head to the side and looking back at his clan mate.

There was a long suffering sigh but also a smile. "Let him sleep. He deserves it and he certainly needs it.”

"Oh fine.” Jan pouted and then handed the music to Evgeni for him to look at. While his friend was pouring over the notes, nodding in some places and frowning thoughtfully in others, Jan surreptitiously reached over and ran his hand lightly through Julian's curls. He was only smoothing them back away from his friend's forehead. That was all.

"Of course we want it to.” Jan looked at Julian as if he were a little addled. "We wouldn't be working so hard to seduce you if we didn't want you.” His full lips twitched upward in a wry smile.

"What he is meaning to say.” Evgeni shook his head at Jan and then looked at Julian. "is that we care about you. We want you to be with us but only if that makes you happy. We don't ask that you give up this Tavi but we would like to keep you.”

"Yeah, what he said.” Jan waved a hand in the air to dismiss all the fine words. "I guess you have some explaining to do. That might be interesting. You can tell her what we are.” Because she already knows. "if you think it would help. Or we can be there when you tell her, if you think that would help.”

Evgeni shrugged.
"I am thinking this discussion would go much better in a few minutes.” He tilted Jan's chin in his direction and kissed him thoroughly, demanding and tasting every bit as much as Jan had just done to Julian.

[We will be here for you however it goes. Know that we want you, very much.] Evgeni sent his love, concern, attraction and passion to Julian and then focused his attention on Jan and did the same.

"You have a good point.” Jan murmured. "I should have waited to bring it up. Sorry, damn my wandering mind.”

"So fix it.” He smiled.

Suddenly he felt calm, carefree and extremely horny once again. After long familiarity with Jan and his abilities he recognized the glamour that was being used. That was one way to fix it. He felt the same emotions over take Julian a moment later. There was no point in fighting it and he really didn't want to.

Jan started stroking them both again, quickly resuming the pace he had been using before. Evgeni leaned in and kissed Jan's neck and shoulder. He smoothed one hand down his companion's chest and stomach and back up again, then found a nipple to tease, rub and gently pinch. Each little jolt of pleasure shooting through him and then to Julian as well as Jan.

If they all came together was it still only Jan's turn?

Julian smiled and felt the truth of Evgeni's words, and Jan's, in spite of the different way they expressed them. His heart felt full, and for a moment he realized that this might be the first time in his life he'd actually been in love. A week ago, he would have laughed if someone told him that would be with his two best male friends. Julian didn't care about a week ago. He cared about now. And if it was somehow due to the bond between them all, well, he wouldn't change it for anything.

"I want to stay like this," he said with a smile, "but I'm grateful you understand about Tavi. I'll tell her. Alone," he said, letting them feel his gratitude for being wiling to be there. But Julian believed in honesty and he really cared about Tavi, respected her as a friend if not something else.

It didn't entirely surprise him that Jan and Evgeni would be all right with his pursuing Tavi. For a moment he entertained a little fantasy - his second one in as many days, what was this world coming to - in which there weren't three of them on the bed, but four. He snapped himself back into the present, though, when Evgeni pointed out that this discussion was probably better had in a few minutes. The words in his head, the emotion he felt, were as good an aphrodisiac as any, distracting him from a worrisome topic that he would definitely address... in a few hours.

[Zhenya. I want you too. Both of you. I never thought I'd be here, but this is definitely where I want to be. No regrets, whatever happens.]

He felt good, knowing they wanted him. He felt reassured that this wouldn't just end, leaving him alone again when the door closed behind them. He could feel their sincerity, both of them. When had this happened? Would he have responded the same way if they'd invited him to do this last month?

The questions took a back seat as dual waves of arousal washed over him again, and then Jan's hand wrapped around him once more. Julian gasped and then let out a soft moan. He sat up without jarring Jan away when he saw Evgeni close to their partner. He didn't want to be so far away.

Jan seemed content to take care of both of them, and Evgeni's hands were busy teasing Jan in return. Julian wrapped one of his hands around Jan's cock, stroking it in time, and leaned in toward Evgeni to kiss him before turning to Jan and kissing him as well. He wanted the taste of both of them on his lips when he came... and that moment was not far off at all. It was going to be explosive; he could feel them both inside of him, their arousal growing with his, feeding off of his, feeding his in turn. He moaned softly and sought his lover's lips again - either of them this time. Kissing one of them would only invoke the feeling of kissing the other. It was blissful.

"That's probably for the best.” Jan said. Evgeni agreed, having a little sit down with the guy you like and his two vampire lovers seemed bad all the way around and that was before the vampire part.

They all agreed that now was not the time. It was just as well because talking was quickly becoming impossible and thinking was close behind at already extremely difficult. His breath was coming in quick short gasps of pleasure when he wasn't too occupied with kissing Julian or Jan to take them.

Their emotions and sensations were a pleasant jumbled mess that even he couldn't sort out at the moment and he was the one that had the ability and had originated both bonds. Normally it wouldn't be a problem but with them all so close like this and feeling almost the exact same thing he couldn't differentiate very well. Someone felt a little wistful for the briefest of moments. Was it Julian or Jan? Or hell, perhaps it had even been him.

It didn't matter. The mix of emotions and sensations was wonderful, perfect. The connection between the three of them was stronger than anything he had ever known. Perhaps that was because this was the first time he had ever been bonded to more than one person at a time before. He would sort that out later.

A random thought occurred to him through the haze of pleasure; he would be able to find Jan and Julian's dreams anywhere now. He wouldn't have to rely on someone sleeping nearby. Of course he would prefer them both sleeping nearby.

[Good] Evgeni answered Julian, unable to cobble together a response more articulate at the moment. Hopefully he had expressed their feelings well enough and that Julian knew the truth on them from feeling them himself.

Jan had tilted back his head and closed his eyes. His clan mate moaned softly, his upper body swaying a little with each intense sensation. Jan's hands continued to work them both with an intense rhythm that was bringing the end rapidly near.

Evgeni leaned forward when it felt as though they were all so close to the brink that another stroke or two would finish them. He wrapped an arm around Jan's chest and tilted his head down toward his clan mate's neck. With one last determined bit of willpower, he held on long enough to bite down. The first taste of blood caused his world to explode into shards of stunningly intense sensation. He could no longer move, reflex caused him to suck on the wound but otherwise his body was rigid, his mind and body completely overwhelmed.

The next thing he remembered was Jan's arm around him and his hand resting limply on Julian's thigh. His head was a heavy weight on Jan's shoulder.

Did he really pass out? Was that even possible?

"Welcome back, Sleeping Beauty.” Jan smirked but amused kindness shone in his eyes.

His body still ached and throbbed gently from the intensity of his climax so he couldn't have been out long.

Evgeni tilted himself over and laid his cheek on Julian's leg and closed his eyes.
"That was...unbelievable.”

Jan nodded. "Yeah I'm not sure I believe it. We might have to do it again.”

((OOC: Jan's climax was in there as well obviously. I figure they all came at almost exactly the same time, hence 'ground zero' here passing out. ))

Julian had never felt this way, so lost in a sea of sensation. He never could have described it, not in a hundred years. His feelings, those of Jan and Evgeni, were so closely entwined that he was all three of them at once. He watched through half-closed eyes as Evgeni leaned toward Jan and he knew what was coming. So much so that he tilted his own head to the side as if it were his neck his friend was going to bite... and... there.

It took just the briefest of seconds for the feeling to wash through Julian and when it did, he was lost. He could feel Jan throbbing in his hand, he saw Evgeni's face, blissful agony against Jan's neck, and he felt the combined force of he three of them together sweep through his body with such intensity that he could hardly hold himself upright. He couldn't even make any noise louder than a gasp as he came, such an intense feeling that he felt it through his entire body.

Suddenly some of the emotion grew dim. Julian opened his eyes when Evgeni's hand fell gently onto his leg and he smiled shakily as he saw their lover slumped against Jan's shoulder. Jan's emotions faded back to an echo but they were still warm and wonderful, the same as Evgeni's even though the sensation seemed to have proven too much for him.

It was only for a few moments, though. Julian lifted his hand and stroked it through Evgeni's hair. He could already feel Evgeni stirring, little bits and pieces of stronger, more vivid emotion hitting Julian like aftershocks. Evgeni opened his red eyes and looked at them both, and then leaned over to erst on Julian's thigh. Julian dropped the hand that had been stroking Evgeni's hair and wrapped his arm around his shoulders instead.

He brushed his thumb lightly over Evgeni's pale skin and laughed at Jan's comment.
"Several times," he said. "Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke the first few."

Between yesterday's and today's activities his body was a tangled knot of pleasant soreness. Everything ached; head, wrist, muscles, all reminded him of what had happened just now - and last night. That, for sure, he would never forget.

He gently squeezed Evgeni's shoulder and looked at Jan.
"I don't know about you but I really need a shower."

He wasn't supposed to get his head wet, but he didn't really care at this point. It had been long enough and he really needed to feel the hot water on his skin. For a moment he wished they could just climb right back into bed and continue on in this idyllic little world but then he remembered Tavi would be there shortly. His heart lifted even more at the thought of seeing her. He was nervous about talking to her, of course, but he did want to see her.

He carefully slid out from beneath Evgeni, groaning as he stretched out muscles that had been pleasantly abused. He still felt the occasional small aftershock of pleasure; his own, or possibly Evgeni or Jan's. It didn't matter. It just felt good.

"I'm pretty sure there's plenty of room in there."

The bathroom was longer than it was big, but it did at least have a decent shower. They couldn't all fit under the spray at once but none of them was particularly large; they'd manage if his friends were inclined.
Jan 11 years ago
"See now that is the dedication we like to see in our researchers.” Jan smiled when Julian agreed with repeating their recent activity at least a few more times to be certain that the results were reliable. "Of course once we have a base line we will then need to alter certain variables to see how that changes things.” He did his best to sound studious and only academically interested while considering variables like position, length of activity, biting versus being bitten, etc...

Evgeni tilted over and rested comfortably on Julian's thigh, his eyes closed happily but at least this time he was still conscious behind them. Jan could tell and that was still really amazing.

Julian mentioned a shower and that seemed like a very good idea for everyone involved but especially for the man going on a date very soon. Especially, especially the man going on a date with a werewolf very soon.

Jan looked around the room at the other two. [Houston, we may have a problem.]

His clan mate's eyes fluttered open and then he rubbed his cheek against Julian's leg and smiled happily. [Is no problem.] Evgeni shut his eyes again.

[Oh I think there is.]

Their human friend got up, with protest from Evgeni in the form a soft whine and a half hearted grope for Julian's retreating form.
"He's leaving us. Just like that.” The Russian did his best mournful gaze at Julian and then curled back up on the bed content to not move much further. [Okay, then what problem?]

[Werewolf, coming here, soon.]

[Yes, you've mentioned. Small girl, bright hair.]

[Good sense of smell, like us.]

That caught Evgeni's attention. Jan hadn't noticed the scent of all of them, and blood, in the room because he had been surrounded by it for a while but the thought of a shower brought about thoughts of Julian's date, smelling good and looking nice. That had led to thoughts of his new girlfriend and how smelling good would be especially important. And then it hit him.

[I don't suppose we can get him to meet her out on the landing?] Evgeni's voice sounded hopeful even though his emotions betrayed the fact that he didn't believe that would work at all.

[I am sure we could convince Julian to see the need for new sheets. Maybe we could suggest a nice romantic candle or a dozen...] Jan pushed himself off the bed to go join Julian in the bathroom.

"Come on, Your Highness, or the royal bathwater will be cold.” He called from the entrance to the bathroom. Jan smiled as grumbling and rustling followed his statement.

"He'll be here in a moment.” He said to Julian. "So, after we wash ourselves and such.” Jan looked down at the cast on Julian's wrist. "Need us to help with the cleaning. Good second or third impressions are important.”

[Weak] Evgeni's sending was a mutter. [He is probably going to tell her more soon than late anyway. He is a good guy.]

[Yeah but if she steps through the door as it is, she'll know everything before he has a chance to explain it in more gentle terms.]

Evgeni raised his eyebrows and slid into the shower. [In this case I think there is no such thing as a gentle way to say it.]

He did have a point.

"Come, I will help you wash your hair.” Evgeni beckoned to Julian. "We can share the royal bathwater.”

"Even with commoners? You are most generous.” Jan grinned.

"I know.” Evgeni's look was haughty, regal and amused all at the same time, looking down his nose at him through half lidded eyes.

Jan and Evgeni didn't follow him immediately, but Julian didn't begrudge them a few more minutes in bed. It wasn't as if revelations of love came every day, and they'd been together long enough by now that they should get to enjoy it. It didn't seem to be their topic of conversation, though, if the feelings he was sensing from them were any indicator. There was a sort of vague concern from Evgeni and a sharper kind of anxiety that had to be Jan's since it felt... distant, somehow. He assumed it stemmed from the topic that had nearly derailed their enjoyable waking up, and he wished he could reassure them but he was nervous when he thought about broaching the subject with Tavi.

How did he explain to her that he really wanted to continue to see her and his two new boyfriends? Ninety-nine out of a hundred women would throw something at him and stalk off. He and Tavi didn't have a permanent arrangement, sure, but the other night had made it pretty clear that they had something. She was so much fun to be with... like Evgeni and Jan, she made him relax and smile and laugh more. It wasn't that he had any trouble doing those things already, but they all seemed so much more significant when shared with one of the three. Or all of them. Julian couldn't get that one out of his head.

Jan entered the bathroom while Julian was sliding the plastic wrap he'd been using to keep his cast dry over his arm. He tugged the velcro tight around the top and smiled at Jan's offer.
"I would love some help," he said. "I think everything hurts right now. Aren't you guys sore?"

He wasn't going to turn down any offer that might involve some not-strictly-necessary touching, either. He would need to be very clean for his date. Even as that thought crossed his mind he guiltily wondered what was wrong with him. He would feel better once he came clean to Tavi, for better or for worse. Maybe she'd still want to be friends.

He turned the shower on and adjusted the spray until the room filled with pleasant steam. Evgeni was first into the shower in spite of, or perhaps because of, Jan's ribbing. Julian had thought the royalty jokes were just a thing, but now knowing what he knew, he wasn't so certain. Julian wasn't about to refuse when Evgeni beckoned so he turned his smile on Jan, shrugged one shoulder, and stepped carefully into the shower himself.

He groaned as the hot water hit his skin, turning little aches and pains into mild complaints. He slid one arm around Evgeni's waist and tugged him close, hugging him briefly, knowing their idyllic night was pretty much over and finding himself hoping it wouldn't be too long until the next one. Then he turned and with his other arm pulled Jan into the embrace when he joined them.

"This is totally what hot showers were made for," he said after having made himself a pleasant vampire sandwich. "Oh God. Incidentally, do you guys think you might maybe take note of when I'm performing, and possibly, um, not get horny then?"

His face grew red as he asked it. Awkward, yes, but based on what they had just experienced, it could be tragic if Evgeni and Jan decided to get it on while Julian was in front of a thousand people trying to do an intricate solo. Not only would the tent in his tux be unprofessional at best, even the thought of trying to concentrate on violin fingerings instead of - other fingerings, was... well... it was complicated.
Evgeni 11 years ago
"No, not really.” Jan explained to the sore question. "We regenerate pretty quickly.” What they had just done hadn't been as physically demanding as the night before. "Maybe not as quick as some of the movies show but still pretty amazingly fast.”

Evgeni collected Julian into his arms and gave him a warm wet kiss as the shower rained down on Julian's back. He could feel the muscles there starting to loosen and bliss was written on his friend's face.

Jan stepped into the shower and Julian reached over and pulled him close as well. Julian asked about his job and requested that they not get horny while he was busy. Evgeni chuckled softly, welcome to the bad side of being bonded. Or at least the tricky side.

"It would be easier and better.” He said, turning Julian around to face Jan, who had taken up the soap and began to lather it onto Julian's body. Evgeni noted that both of them were getting soap on them because Jan's body was rubbing up against Julian's far more than strictly necessary. "To show you how to block out the bond. It takes a little concentration, especially in the beginning but it is a useful skill to have when bonded.”

He reached out for Julian and gently tilted his head back. Careful of the stitches, Evgeni applied shampoo and washed thoroughly. He would have figured that there might still be a few flakes of blood in Julian's hair since the one armed man with a concussion would have had a hard time getting those out, especially when told he couldn't shower. However there were none at all. The hospital must have a more thorough nurse than any he had seen in a long time.

While he still had reassuring contact with Julian, he pulled down his mental barriers and blocked out the bond. He then leaned around and kissed Jan squarely and passionately on the mouth. Returning to his original task, he opened himself back up and allowed Julian's thoughts and emotions to flood back in.

"That way you are certain you won't be interrupted when it is important, yes? Just in case.” Julian would always know when he was playing or needed to concentrate but they might miss a schedule or something might have changed or during the day Julian might have accepted an impromptu gig.

"I should learn that too.” Jan looked serious and thoughtful.

"Yes, most likely.” If the sudden spike of hunger was any indication then Jan's thoughts were running toward the times when they fed. He agreed with where his clan mate's mind was. They both knew that they indulged in others when feeding but they didn't really discuss it. He didn't think Jan or Julian wanted to feel him with someone else and he felt the same. They probably wouldn't want to feel Julian with Tavi either, assuming she still chose to date Julian after to monumental change in their relationship was disclosed.

"Is not hard. Simply think of closing yourself off. Most people do it quite naturally from what I understand.” Not too long ago he and Sorcha had a long discussion about that very thing and the differences between bonding and sending. He had been fascinated with the Evenhet ability to speak with just anyone in their head. She had explained that thinking to someone wasn't nearly the same as understanding them so intimately. She also agreed that people tended to put up natural barriers in their head when they didn't want someone to know something. But, it didn't really block out anyone with decent practice from sending words to them. Sorcha said empathy was also relevant and that an empath could tell when someone was being closed and secretive but again a practiced empath could usually tell what they were wanting to hide. But, from what she understood from those with the ability to hide their thoughts and feelings, it was a similar technique or discipline that which began as that mental and emotional closing off; those people with subterfuge just happened to be much better at doing it. He supposed it worked in the case of a bond because while you sensed very strong emotions easily, and life threatening situations as well, the every day bond actually took a small amount of concentration to get more than a passing connection. Most people, himself included, checked in out of habit quite often. It was like driving in a car and looking at your gauges or checking the rear view mirror, most people did it automatically without much thought required and probably didn't notice unless there was something unusual about what they saw.

Jan closed his eyes and thought invisible thoughts. He could tell because it wasn't working.

"You are trying not to be seen. Very evasive but I am a part of you now. Trust me. I see you.” Evgeni smiled kindly. "Try something more...is a good word...active.”

"I was thinking of.” Jan looked at Julian and quirked a little smile. "picking pockets and how you try to go unnoticed. I suppose that is hard to do in this case. Evgeni could tell that Jan's heart had filled with love and joy at his words of belonging even if they were currently trying to block that very connection,

His clan mate's eyes closed again and Evgeni heard music and then nothing at all. He blinked at Jan and then wrapped his arms around a soapy Julian and just watched.
"I think he has got it.” He murmured softly, his lips against Julian's temple. "Do you want to try?”

"Did that work?” Jan opened his eyes and looked at them both.

"Yes, what did you do? I was hearing music but then, was gone.”

Jan grinned. "Exactly. I can close off the entire world when I am composing or concentrating on my music. A bomb could go off in the same room.”

Evgeni knew that from experience. A musically focused Jan was almost impossible to reach and sometimes Jan would catch the beginnings of a song right in the middle of conversation. It was a quirk he had become accustomed to and even grown to adore.

"I bet you won't have trouble blocking us out when you are playing.” Jan said to Julian. "You probably block out distractions anyway. Someone hitting a wrong note, an audience member with a terrible cough, flashing lights, cameras and all that stuff.”

"Is true, I can be in my own world when playing my violin.” No doubt it could be the same for Julian. Maybe not when he was on stage but certainly when he was fully engrossed in playing without the need to notice the outside world.
Julian Stephenson 11 years ago
Julian gave himself over to the attention from Jan and Evgeni, enjoying it too much to bother trying to hide it. Jan's hands were smoothing every part of him, covering pretty much most of them in soap. Evgeni's were gentle and careful in his hair. This was one shower he planned to prolong as much as possible.

When Evgeni demonstrated the fact that they could block the bond they shared, Julian felt the barrier go up between them and his heart stopped. He watched Evgeni kiss Jan and he searched and searched for the feeling he knew it invoked but he got nothing from either of them. Without Evgeni's cooperation, Julian couldn't sense the little echo of Jan. He tightened his fingers on Evgeni's leg, where they had settled.

Jan attempted to block them out next and Julian watched, but shook his head only just slightly as he acknowledged the failed result. Jan tried again with much better success and Julian bit his lip gently as the little ghost of Jan disappeared. His breath hitched again. He didn't like the sensation of losing one or both of them. He was already growing accustomed to their being there.

Evgeni wrapped his arms around Julian and he felt the gentle caress against his temple. When asked if he wanted to try it Julian shook his head.
"No... do I have to? Maybe... maybe in a few days."

He had been so relieved to know that he wasn't going to be alone when something bad happened again. What if one of his friends was blocking him out, unaware that he was in trouble and needed help? He felt the familiar, uncomfortable sensations of a panic attack beginning; he hadn't had one of those in a couple years, since after Andrea had died. He forced himself to breathe, remembering his captivity was still very recent and giving himself a little allowance for feeling anxious about it. It would fade, he knew.

"If that's how it works, you're probably right. Maybe I was worried for nothing. It is pretty hard to shake me when I'm performing." He gave them a wry smile. "You guys could do it, though."

He would have to learn how to distance himself, really. The emotions he felt from Jan and Evgeni when they were in that mood were incredible. Really, what he suspected he'd want to do was throw down his violin, find them, and join in. But that was hardly the professional thing to do and he loved his job. He didn't want to try the barrier thing tonight but he would, he told himself he had to.

He ducked his head under the hot water to rinse the soap out, thinking of Tavi again. His life had taken several incredibly unexpected twists in the last week. From being involved with Val's shit to getting beaten up and broken, to this wonderful thing with Tavi, to the revelation of Evgeni and Jan and this equally wonderful thing with them. He had thought he was handling it all pretty well but this sudden anxiety drove home to him that he wasn't well at all. His friends were literally holding him up and at some point he was just going to have to come to terms with everything, scream it out, cry it out, whatever. It would happen eventually.
Evgeni 11 years ago
"No, of course not." Evgeni said gently and pressed Julian a little closer to him. They both watched as Jan tried to sort out how to keep his mind separate from them. His clan mate succeeded on his second try.

He had expected the loss of the bond to be a little worrisome for Julian but he hadn't expected the intense panic that happened. Evgeni hugged his friend close and leaned his cheek against Julian's.
"It is okay. We are still here. We will always be here."

Jan had sensed the problem mere seconds after he did and Julian once more found himself the center of a double vampire hug. Evgeni could see Jan's dark head leaned against Julian's shoulder on the other side. "You have been warned...but sadly its too late." Jan did a very good but thankfully quiet villain laugh before releasing Julian so that he could rinse himself off.

[You could send to me if you needed to, even if I was blocking my emotions.] Evgeni sent, figuring that was part of Julian's fear. It certainly would have been his. Sorcha's nightly sendings were a blessing while he was a prisoner but he couldn't initiate them and that was frustrating. They had become his lifeline though and he had waited anxiously for her mental touch. They still spoke like that often and hearing her crisp British mental voice with its occasional Irish lilt still caused him a thrill of joy every time.

"Don't worry we'll just distract you other times." Jan grinned and then squirmed into Julian's place and held his arms out from his sides. "Okay, soap me. I'm ready." He was closing his eyes tight and clenching his jaw like he was expecting some kind of prison hose down but his emotions said he couldn't wait for Julian to touch him.

"Where is soap?" Evgeni said looking around for what Jan had done with it.

"Oh, I dropped it just a second ago." When he had felt Julian's anxiety and reached for him. For a supposedly apathetic goth kid, Jan was remarkably loving. He reached out and wrapped his arms around his clan mate.

Evgeni spied the bar near the drain and pointed his chin at it.
"There is. Quick before he loses his nerve." Jan took the hint and struck his pose again.
Julian Stephenson 11 years ago
Julian trembled at the touch of Evgeni's cheek next to his and his eyes suddenly stung with tears that desperately needed to be shed. He cleared his throat and nodded at the words of reassurance, shivering just a little bit when Jan joined them, his face pressed against Julian's shoulder. He forced himself to breathe, feeling the panicky feeling recede between the embrace of his friends and the words Evgeny sent to him.

[Right,] he sent back. [I have to remember that... just... sorry. I think I'm fucked up.]

He swallowed a sob back at that admission, gritting his teeth and refusing to turn into a baby over it. He was alive and healing and it was all fine. He was fine. He wouldn't be alone again, Evgeni had seen to that. Panic faded and control returned, relief, calm. He focused on the emotions he liked and took them in, a gift he didn't think he'd ever turn away.

He smiled and let them distract him while Jan took his place and they searched for the soap. Evgeny pointed it out and Julian spotted it, kneeling down to get it. Once he wrapped his hand around it he looked up, a wry smile on his lips.

"Is this where I say something witty about a soap-dropping joke?" he asked, and then it occurred to him that he was kneeling conveniently close to the very washable parts of his two newest lovers.

He was going to hell, wasn't he.

And yet, he remained kneeling, running the slippery bar of soap up the inside of Jan's leg to his thigh. He turned his head as he did, closing his mouth over the pale skin of Evgeni's leg. Oh god, yes, this might just be the best shower ever. Regardless of the fact that they'd had a fairly energetic last twenty-four hours, Julian was pretty sure it wasn't going to be a boring shower. If only he had more than one hand. He was considering taking the bag off his injured wrist and to hell with the consequences of wet padding but he knew that would be misery later. He'd have to do his best with one hand... and a very busy mouth. He was more than willing, if they were.

Tavi was going to hate him, he suspected, but he was helpless there. He needed Jan and Evgeni as much as he needed her, and he couldn't turn any of them away. He didn't want to. He would confess everything to her, when he saw her, but he couldn't stop the road he was traveling on now and he didn't want to do it.

If she didn't want to see him he would be happy just being her friend... he wanted more but he couldn't help but understand if she wanted something he wasn't prepared to give. What he was planning to drop on her, and ask of her, was a lot for anyone to take.

Knowing the truth of his own feelings and starting to accept it, Julian turned his soft blue-green eyes up to Jan and Evgeni, then smiled, closed them, and took another taste of the truth right before him.
