Personal History (Please be detailed, this creates your basis for your character) Artemis was born in 390 A.D. His father was a prominate vinyard owner in the southern part of Italia. When his father was drafted in the Roman military, he was sent to Greece where is met Artemis's mother. Eventually Bellezone and his new wife returned to the vinyard and began their life together. Within a few years, Artemis was born. From early on it was clear that Artemis was a unique child. At first his parents feared that he might be a fool because he seemed talk only nonsense. In reality, Artemis's thought process works much quicker than normal. Though this enables him to work on multiple projects almost simultaniously, it makes discussion very difficult. Often times his mind would move to the next thought or topic ahead of the discussion leaving those around him confused. Eventually they discovered his gift for building and inventing things. Many of Artemis's inventions went to improving the wine making process on the family vinyard. When he was old enough to regularly drink the product he helped to created, it was discovered that the alcohol slowed him down enough that he could focus on one task at a time and carry on a decent conversation. When Artemis grew to manhood, he maried a local farmer's daughter who seemed to be the only woman who understood or at least tolerated him. He was then drafted into the military in the same maner as his father had been years before. With only water to drink, it was only a matter of time before the absense of his daily dose of wine took effect. His inability to focus made him a danger not only to the enemy but to those in his regiment as well. It was decided that Artemis should be sent home in disgrace as an incompetent fool. Just outside of Rome, Artemis and the few soldiers he had been traveling with were ambushed by Visigoths. Artemis survived but his friend was killed. The brutality and unfairness of this death sent Artemis into a fit of insane rage. Artemis used the skills he learned as a soldier to hunt and slaughter the small band that had attacked and killed his friend. Instead of disgrace, Artemis reutrn home a hero. However, the memory of what had happened and the nature of his rage haunted Artemis's gentle soul. Shortly after his return, a troubled Artemis was invited to the home of a wealthy nobleman. In this meeting it was requested that Artemis invent an instrument that would enable a man to play the most beautiful music ever heard. Artemis replied that it was impossible to give a man talent he was not meant to have. Days later, the intrusion of this nobleman into Artemis's life continued. The mysterious nobleman made many advances toward Artemis's lovely wife only to be publicly rejected in favor of her more eccentric husband. The scene that greeted Artemis on his return home one evening was a disturbing one. His beloved wife had been slain, but it was clear that she had been used before her death. The rage once again took over Artemis and he went in search of the bastard who had taken the one most dear to him. Lighting fires and destroying whatever came into his path, Artemis never reached his destination. A force much stronger than he brought him to a halt. Artemis remembers very little of that exact moment, but he learned that the object of his rage was a vampire named Sorin and that he now had the potential to kill him. All he had to do was wait. He also learned that his benefactor was a vampire named Morrigan. It has been 1593 years, and Artemis is still waiting.
