Cultural Centre
The seaboard of Nachton offers up many classic sites that cater to the Nachton sophisticate and discerning tourist alike. It is a mix of everything Nachton takes pride in, from the historical public library to the more modern Opera house, and everything in between. The architecture reflects this appreciation of both old and new, using both restored industrial buildings that the city was founded on and more modern structures of glass and steel to create an overall aesthetic of elegant reinvention.
The Nachton Cultural Center is defined by a change from the asphalt and concrete of the rest of the city to cobblestone walkways and small footbridges perfect for strolling. As a visitor walks, they may pass the small outdoor amphitheater where on any given evening there may be live music, street performers, or various speeches and presentations. Continuing on, they may come to an elaborate fountain with paths that form around, above, or even through the center of the beautiful structure. Rivers of water stream through ducts that rise twenty feet off the ground to fall in sheets on either side of the walkway and into a reflective pool below. In the evening the fountain is lit within and without by spherical lanterns that play off the water in a dazzling display of glowing light. Indeed, a visitor to the Center could waste away an evening simply by walking and taking in the sights.
That is not to say there is not more entertainment to be had in the Center; one could spend the day shopping, sailing, reading the city's history, touring historical sites, or appreciating fine art, after which there are a variety of high end restaurants and bars to dine and relax.
