Meet the Ancients: Open to all Anantya
Thaddeus gripped Alfarinn's hand and smiled with only a trace of anxiety as the limo approached the Manor. He was, in all honesty, more excited to be bringing Alfarinn to his Clan than he was worried; there was an insuppressible happiness to the situation, though as the moment approached his nerves began to catch up to him. He distracted himself by, for at least the tenth time, going over what needed to be done in his mind, and considering carefully what to tell Mai.
The limo came to a stop at last, but before the driver could open the door, Thaddeus rather suddenly pulled Alfarinn to him, kissing him quickly but firmly and thoroughly, breaking away just as the door opened.
[I thought we both might need that.]
Behind them, Thaddeus heard the limo drive away as they approached the front doors. He paused before opening them, made one last effort to shake off his nerves, and opened the door, gesturing for Alfarinn to enter and following closely after him.
We can cut through here and out the other side to the Japanese Gardens. That is an ideal place to find Mai.
Amberelle's smile faded a bit as she thought about that. Indeed Order of the Night would be a good choice, she liked the idea of it far better than indulging her beastial nature and allowing it to emerge more by joining the Hunt. Working with Sorin however.. she still wasn't sure how to take the man. He'd seemed so nice and likeable, but that voice in her brain kept reminding her how he was so beloved by Gustav and she couldn't imagine anyone of value being linked to that man. She leaned down and scooped up the agitated cat with her free hand to try and soothe him.
Amby turned towards Mai and listened, her smile grew warmer again at Mai's soft comment. She nodded respectfully at the elder.
Thank you.. I agree, Mai. But, perhaps soon I might just be working with you and Sorin, Thaddeus. I'd certainly like to work with you, I bet it would be fun. She hoped her omission of Sorin from that statement wasn't too obvious. Or her unshakable dislike of him. At least I have experience working for the Order, so who knows hmm?
But enough about me and my silly decisions! You certainly didn't come here to hear about them. She grinned and waived her flowers filled hand, dismissing herself.
He smiled, pleased, when Amberelle mentioned the Night as a possibility for her. He wondered about her prior experience, but her words reminded him that there was business to take care of. His smile faded and his expression turned regretful.
While of course my interest is sincere, I do have another purpose besides your good company for coming; I am, alas, here on business, and once again only temporarily.
He hesitated for a moment and considered sharing the rest of his future plans, but decided for the moment it was best to refrain. There was a comfortable feel to this meeting of friends, and it did not feel like the right time to announce he was moving out of the Manor. And in any case, when he left, he felt more at ease with the idea of doing so discreetly without drawing attention to himself. Instead, he gave Alfarinn's hand a gentle squeeze and continued.
I am quite happy to have had the opportunity for your company once again. He nodded at Amberelle and Talon, respectively, before turning to Mai.
If you have a moment, of course. I did not mean to presume.
Once there she headed down the hall to Thaddeus's suite which was better suited to speaking in the comfort her two companion's were used to than her own.
((OOC: Mai out ))
Instead, he inclined his chin at each in turn and smiled.
Thank you again, for everything.
He looked once to Alfarinn and made to follow Mai, but as he walked by Amberelle he reached out and gave the cat's head a pat before moving along the path toward the Manor.
/ooc T-Bone out
"It was a pleasure meeting you both. I should follow him however or I'd probably get hopelessly lost here."
He smiled at them in parting and then moved to follow Thaddeus.
((OOC: Out))
So, what did you do to my kitty to annoy it?
So, what did you do to my kitty to annoy it?
"so your saying that I've irritated your pussy?" he said with a playful smirk
and changed position unil he was sitting with his knees drawn up and his forarms resting on them.
"For the most parts, Cats don't care for me.." he shrugged
"so you're saying that I've irritated your pussy?"
'I should just take it at face value, why did he have to.. grrr!' Her face turned a light shade of pink and she glared at a nearby bush angrily for a second. He was baiting her and she did not appreciate it.
Don't be vulgar, that's not what I meant! What I was asking was why you were tormenting Louis here with your 'nyah nyah' thing.
Sensing his mistress' bubbling annoyance, Louis bumped her arm with his head and rubbed. It was his way of petting her and the young blonde turned and smiled faintly at his gesture. Glancing back up at Talon, her amber eyes searched his face. Speaking softly, half to herself and half to him, she thought out loud.
There's just something about you... I wonder..
She paused in mid thought and glanced up at the night sky. Faintly sniffing, she noticed all of the clouds that had rolled in during the last few hours. She had been so engrossed in gathering her flowers then seeing Thaddeus and the conversation that she hadn't noticed the smell of rain that had floated in with the breeze. A few fat rain drops began to plop down around them, stirring the black cat into jumping down and seeking shelter under the bench with a mournful meow.
Amby rolled her eyes at him. There was nothing like feeling the rain wash over you, it was almost erotic sometimes. She glanced over at her clansman and noticed he wasn't bothered by the rain either. 'Good, we can stay and finish this conversation. Maybe get some of this strange tension between us explained.'
[Go on back to the room petite, I'll be along shortly,] she sent to her feline companion. He wasted no time in complying, making a dash for the manor.
Nodding faintly at the idea she decided to enjoy the summer shower. At least until until one of the cool drops landed on her shoulder. Glancing down at it, seeing the now translucent fabric cling to her, she suddenly remembered she was wearing a thin white linen shirt with almost nothing on underneath. Standing quickly, she pulled the bundle of flowers around in front of her to cover her bosom and glanced around for a nearby shelter.
Perhaps we should continue this someplace.. dryer?
Deciding to find out where the cat had come from he tracked its path back into the garden. Ahead a giant of a man who must be Talon, was with a woman whos shirt was getting more transperant by the second. The flowers in her arms made Cyrus sneeze at their overpowering aroma all bunched together.
the rain started to fall in fat cool drops, it was refreshing..
Perhaps we should continue this someplace.. dryer?
Talon rose from his sitting position just as he detected an unfamiliar scent enter the area.. he rose to his feet and waitied for the person to enter the garden..
"A second frail.. somones coming, somone new"
"Good evening. "I am Cyrus, Order of the Hunt." A brief nod of his head was the extent of his manners, it was custom among equals to neither bow nor ignore eachothers ranks, the nod honored such equality.
"Asahi Mai requested your assistance, Talon. If you could spare a moment the elder stated that the one called Chryseis is missing and we seek to find her."
'Just how do I want him to view me?' the blonde asked herself but gave no answer. Amberelle wasn't sure. What she did know was the man was a dangerous, annoying enigma. Someone like him was completely different from any man she'd ever been around. And he was damn sexy too.
She was about to point to a white gazebo visible not too far away when he spoke. Her senses picked up someone as well, and even though she'd only been at the manor a short time she was pretty sure it was new. It was one she'd never run across even a residue of, so she was on her guard.
Glancing out of the corner of her eye in the direction Talon looked, she waited, ready to spring if needed. When the male walked forward and introduced hirself, Amby studied him. Making note of his scent, she gave him a slight polite nod.
It's nice to meet another of my clansmen. I am Amberelle.
Her eyes glanced back to the silent man across from her and she gave him a long look. With a faint smile and a shrug, she stepped back onto the path.
Since Mai needs you Talon, I'm sure we can continue this conversation at another time.
With another nod at Cyrus she began making her way back towards her rooms.
((OOC out pending waiting on any responses))
"Shall we go to the Cathedral to meet Asahi Mai, Talon?"
he nodded as Amberelle made her exit.
"Chryesis has gone missing huh..... couldn't have happened to a nicer person" the sarcasm was ovious. 'still personal feelings aside i've been called to hunt by the leader of the hunt herself, this should be fun'
"Lets go find Half-pint and get this party started!" he said with smile 'its been too long since I had a real good hunt with others of own kind'
with that he started twords the cathedral along with Cyrus
((OOC : Talon out pending a reply from Cyrus))
