A Morning Visit (attn: Evan)
Kiyoshi jogged quietly up the stairs outside the club which led to the upper floor where the administrative offices used to be when Terminus had actually been an airport. Kiyo knew they had been converted into a living area but he'd never been inside. This, though, was where he'd been offered a crash space if he needed one.
He hiked his sleeping bag up on his shoulder and debated. He could just lay out under the stars. He didn't really want to bother Evan. He'd had a nice time talking with Tavi but he couldn't completely explain what it was about the Pack housing that made him uncomfortable. He enjoyed Evan's company and didn't feel like he was constantly watching his back with the vampire.
Ironic, he knew.
Kiyo took a deep breath and knocked softly on the door. Then, realizing just how much space was inside, he swallowed and knocked again harder.
He sort of wanted to run away and hide before Evan opened the door but he didn't. He stood there and waited. Maybe Evan wouldn't have heard him... then he could say he'd tried. But he realized, as he tapped on the door once more, he actually wanted to talk to Evan.
It was getting close to dusk and they had several hours before either of them needed to be at work. He normally would get up and go running, flying or hiking. For the first part of his day, Evan preferred something solitary out in nature. He always took a little time to focus and think, not long though; he really did prefer to be among people.
Today though they should probably take the time to talk and decide what they wanted to do. It was possible that Kiyoshi did not want anything more from him than the last night but Evan did not think that was the case. The werewolf had accepted his offer to sleep in his bed again. For his part, he wanted to see Kiyo more. It could mean a whole lot of trouble; probably more for Kiyoshi than himself but it could potentially ruin his working relationship with the werewolves. They needed to decide whether they were willing to risk the wrath of their peoples or simply let this go before it becomes something more complicated.
He yawned and stretched then leaned over and kissed Kiyo gently on the cheek before sliding out from under the quilt that he had half kicked off some time around noon. Evan sighed a deep content sigh before standing up and walking toward the bathroom.
"Care to join me for a shower?"
Normally he would have taken one the night before so that his hair had time to dry before work but he was otherwise distracted. Evan figured tending bar with wet hair was a small price to pay for a handsome partner and mind blowing sex. The thought of Kiyo still naked in his bed made him smile; yes, he could get used to waking up curled around the little wolf every night.
But evening had come and they both had to be at Terminus. Kiyo poked his nose out of the pile of blankets and watched as Evan walked, looking almost stupid sexy, toward the bathroom. Kiyo felt the loss of Evan in bed, not only because suddenly he was chilly. It was difficult to think of the vampire as anything but warm, feeling, and alive, when he was right there.
Evan invited Kiyo to accompany him and Kiyo hesitated for a moment only because... well, it was morning as far as his body was concerned. And Evan was ridiculously handsome. And... well, Kiyo couldn't hide under the blankets all morning. He'd rather shower with Evan than by himself. So he pushed away the heavy pile of blankets, rolling upright and wrapping his arms around himself to ward off the chilly air.
Sliding off the bed he padded softly over to Evan to follow him into the bathroom. The shower would wake him up, hopefully. He didn't want to be exhausted for later on that morning. Maybe Evan had rethought having him in his bed again? Kiyo didn't know if that offer still stood but he hoped so.
Of course, the idea didn't help matters any.
Wrapping Kiyo up in his arms as soon as the other man entered the bathroom, Evan smiled down at him.
"Good morning."
He then did his best to make sure that it was, indeed, a good one. Leaning down he favored Kiyo with a tender kiss. Then his mouth found other places to explore, starting with Kiyoshi's jaw and neck. Evan hugged the werewolf close to him, his hands sliding down to cup themselves around his partner's ass. He growled softly finding there was a fierce renewal of desire now that he had Kiyo once more in his arms.
Returning to Kiyo's lips, he devoured them in a hungry kiss, tasting and claiming in the same passionate caress. Evan lingered, slowing himself down to request access with a gentle flick of his tongue instead of taking it, not wanting to force himself on Kiyo in any way. He still did his best to express his continued interest; though pressed this tightly together the evidence should be fairly obvious. It would take more time and effort to show his friend that he wanted him, not just because he found him physically attractive but because he was genuinely very fond of the man himself. This, however, was still a good place to start, at least in his opinion.
"I hope you like your showers hot."
Evan smiled crookedly at his companion, the innuendo made quite plain by his lust filled gaze. The water was already steaming up the room but he could turn it down if Kiyo preferred something more mild. As to the rest, well if Kiyoshi didn't want to continue what he had started then Evan would need to turn the hot water down for a very different reason.
He let his companion go and then stepped into the water, letting it run over his head for a moment. Smoothing his hands over his wet hair, he blinked stray drops out of his eyes and then leaned back against the tiles. Evan regarded Kiyo with a small half smile, reaching out a hand in invitation.
At the light touch of Evan's tongue Kiyo melted against him and wrapped his arms around his taller lover's neck, molding himself against Evan's chiseled chest like a wet tee shirt. God. He was sort of a slut where Evan was concerned wasn't he? Thirty seconds of kissing and he was ready to be plastered against that shower wall with his legs wrapped around Evan's waist. He had never had sex with anyone in a shower before but Kiyo was perfectly ready to believe that variety was the spice of life.
"Uhmm," he moaned softly when Evan broke away and said something about showers and hot. "Steaming," he said, flushing at his own forwardness.
Kiyo stared, barely remembering to shut his mouth, as Evan stepped under the spray and did a damn good job of making sure Kiyo had a month's worth of disturbingly arousing dreams. When he held his hand out to Kiyo there might have been a small sonic boom as the air rushed in to fill the void where the werewolf had been standing.
Hardly noticing the water Kiyoshi went straight through it to Evan like a moth to a flame. He hesitated just a moment in uncertainty before glancing down and noticing Evan's similarly aroused state. Then he plastered himself against Evan and stood on his toes, tugging on Evan's shoulders gently as he pulled his partner down to be kissed again.
"I want you, Kiyoshi." He murmured, in case it wasn't obvious. He spoke because he wanted his companion to have a choice; some say, before he picked him up and had sex with him here in the shower. Last night's encounter still ran through his mind and had since he woke up. It replayed in vivid detail Kiyo riding him hard, unaware of how beautiful and free he looked. Evan wanted to see that again, every night if he could.
Picking his partner up, Evan moved to lean against the back wall of the shower so that the spray was behind them, drumming down Kiyoshi's back and ass and not in their eyes. With both hands cupped beneath his companion, he slid one long finger over so that he could brush it teasingly over Kiyo's opening.
"Should we let you be in charge again?" Evan smiled as his finger continued to tease in small circles, occasionally pressing harder, almost entering but not quite. He leaned forward and he bit Kiyoshi's neck before adding. "You did so well the last time."
Leaning back, Evan regarded his partner solemnly and said. "Or we can swap places, if you like." He did not want Kiyoshi to think that it always had to be him who was entered. It certainly seemed from the little bit that his friend had mentioned last night that, in the past, that had almost always been the case. He leaned back down and nibbled on the other side of Kiyo's neck. "I think I would very much like to feel you inside me."
Of course, right here in the shower it would be awkward unless he got down on his knees. There was room but he'd appreciate not pounding his head into the back wall of shower should things become more heated, and he would certainly want them to be heated. "Perhaps we can save that for in the bed later? You are coming home with me tonight, aren't you?" He would understand if the answer was no; Kiyo did have a life and a pack after all.
As Evan picked him up Kiyoshi gripped with his legs as his heart threatened to beat out of his ribcage. "Evan," he gasped as his partner's finger slid in toward his ass, "do you read minds too?"
He had no idea what vampires could and couldn't do, but he found it ironic that he was just daydreaming about wrapping his legs around Evan's narrow waist and voila... here he was, wrapping his legs around Evan's waist.
Kiyo panted and ground his hips against Evan as best he could while his lover teased, almost missing Evan's words. Shit... if Evan could read minds... Kiyo did his best to envision Evan doing more than just teasing with that hand where it was. Couldn't hurt to suggest, right? He wanted it so badly, that feeling of loving intimacy, the feeling that Evan cared. It was like a drug.
As Evan's words penetrated through the thick fog of desire Kiyo looked down at him, breathing hard, his exhales coming out in short moans. "I don't think I need to be," he said tentatively. "With you I feel... I'm not afraid."
Curling himself over Kiyo clutched at Evan's shoulders and kissed him again, taking the initiative this time instead of waiting for it to happen. When Evan nibbled at his neck Kiyo straightened once more, tilting his head away, feeling a thrill of adrenaline as he willingly offered his neck to a vampire, a show of trust, a show of submission, a show of vulnerability. He wasn't sure if Evan realized all of the nuances that gesture embodied for Kiyo's kind but Kiyo meant it in every sense and did it willingly, not under threat.
Evan's next offer made Kiyo blink down at him. Evan... would like that? "You would?" he said breathlessly. It had been a long damn time since Kiyo had done such a thing. His demeanor, his submission, his shyness, always made him the receiving partner. Not to mention the fact that the feeling it evoked... it excited him. That was the shame he'd remembered earlier, that even when he was penetrated forcefully he had been so stimulated that he was able to come in spite of his lack of enjoyment. It made his partners think he liked it rough, and Kiyo never had the fortitude to stand up for himself in most cases.
Now, wrapped around Evan, Kiyo knew what it felt like to be free to enjoy the sensation without the pain, while feeling like he was worth something, that he was indeed loved. He felt his face grow red as he considered how to tell Evan that.
"I'd like that, I think," he said, trying to wrap his head around the idea of switching roles with Evan, "but... I also like this."
He shifted his hips, pressing himself against Evan's wickedly talented fingers, biting back the moan his own actions caused. "I, uh, really like it." If Evan wasn't careful, in fact, Kiyo would come before it even mattered. Not that it should make a difference... he was fairly certain he could repeat the act with enough stimulation. And Evan counted as stimulating.
Kiyoshi nodded at Evan, not hesitating this time. More drugs? Yes please. "I have to go get some clothes from Shady Pines," he mumbled as he buried his face in Evan's neck and brazenly nipped at his ear. "I only brought enough for today. If you're sure... I'll come back after."
He wanted to sleep with Evan again. Sure, he had slept terribly and was likely to be exhausted at work and afterward, but Kiyo wanted to be near the first person in years who had made him feel like this.
His partner stated that he didn't need to be the one in control and Evan was happy to hear the reason for it. "I'm glad, Kiyo. I want you always to feel safe." Which must be the truth if his companion was willing to stretch his neck out like that so invitingly for a vampire. Evan's breath came out in a shuddering sigh as he continued to lavish that arched curve with attention, dragging his fangs lightly along it, pressing down with them just enough to indent but not puncture. He sucked gently, running his tongue along the heated skin, wishing he could taste Kiyo, know all of him.
"Yes." Evan smiled up at his disbelieving partner. "I trust you." There was no better way to express that than to simply show it. "If we are to be lovers then I would want us to be equal." He certainly hoped that this would continue beyond today. Evan nodded silently as Kiyo said that he would like the change in roles. It was something to look forward to. He was glad he was not the one throwing the bottles around in the air tonight; he would most certainly drop them while his mind was elsewhere.
Grinning at Kiyo's little moan, Evan slid his finger inside his partner, hoping to hear another one. He answered the confession while gently pushing in and out of his partner at a slow but steady pace. "I can tell." He added another finger, wanting to make sure that Kiyo was relaxed and ready for him before he entered.
"I'm very sure, Little Wolf." He wanted to see more of Kiyoshi despite the potential for trouble, perhaps even danger. Maybe he was being stupid and selfish. They really needed to discuss it...when they were thinking more rationally. "Every night so long as you want to be here."
Evan pulled his fingers away and then pushed himself up to replace them. "Are you ready?"
"With you," he qualified as Evan expressed his next hope. Kiyoshi was starting to realize that Evan wanted to please him, wanted to be pleased in return. That mutual pleasure, the mutual trust, too, was amazing to Kiyo, who had little or no experience with either.
He gasped softly at the drag of fangs over his skin. The light pressure alarmed him momentarily; not because he feared Evan would bite him but because he feared Evan might do himself harm if he did. If only he could give blood to Evan... he could help return the care Evan gave to him. Kiyo felt a sense of uselessness there. Evan was doing so much for him, and Kiyo was barely able to care for Evan in return.
The thought made him cling tighter, burying his fingers in the heavy sheet of wet black hair and kissing Evan again. He nearly lost his grip on his partner as Evan's finger slid inside of him. Moaning into their kiss Kiyoshi felt his entire body shiver. The rhythmic stroking that ensued nearly pushed him over the edge, and when the second finger joined the first Kiyo nearly lost it entirely. He leaned his head back, biting his lip, doing his best to recover some sort of control.
It was much easier to relax this time. Kiyo's body remembered Evan's touch, remembered vividly how it felt when he was wrapped around Evan's cock. He wanted it so badly, again, and after that, that he found himself trembling - for entirely different reasons than earlier that morning.
"I like it here with you," Kiyo said softly. "I want more." They hadn't spent a lot of time together yet, obviously. Kiyo wanted to try it. He wanted to know how it felt to share more time with Evan, more of the same space. It wasn't entirely safe, but Kiyo was perfectly ready to throw caution to the wind to attain this feeling of being wanted on a regular basis.
Those thoughts were exacerbated as he felt Evan's erection pressed against him. It made it even better. He could feel it now; Evan's desire, the fact that he wanted to hold Kiyo and not just have sex with him but make love to him. Kiyo gave a soft groan at the sensation and nodded at Evan.
"God, yes," he gasped. "Please Evan."
He panted hungrily as he writhed against Evan, enjoying the closeness but not really able to be terribly proactive in this position. He didn't think Evan would stall though. His partner's need was almost as plain as his own. It felt so good to be needed... Kiyo didn't ever want it to stop. He felt like he was losing control, falling down a steep slope from which he would not be able to climb back up. He was surprisingly all right with that.
When Kiyoshi told him that he was ready, Evan eased himself inside, slowly and carefully, watching his partner for signs of discomfort. Once fully there, he waited trembling slightly with the effort of restraint, until Kiyo had time to adjust. Then Evan began to move, slow and steady, moaning softly at how good it felt.
"I wonder" he said hoarsely, "how many times we can watch you come before we both need to be at work." Evan smiled up at Kiyo, pulling nearly out before burying himself deeply inside his partner once more. He moaned in pleasure, wondering just how many times he would come in this same process.
"I like seeing you enjoy yourself." Evan gripped Kiyo's ass a little tighter, using his inhuman strength to easily lift the slender werewolf up and down just a bit in time with his thrusts. Determined to watch his lover come more than once before work; he increased the rhythm, panting with effort as he rocked steadily in and out of his lover.
He expelled a long gasp of air as Evan pushed into him. It was somewhat easier this time. Initially it hurt a little as he tensed up with nerves. Kiyo gritted his teeth. Fear was fear. It wouldn't go away overnight, but oh, he did want Evan then. Was it shameful of him to need this so badly? Did it cheapen him? Kiyo pushed the thoughts out of his head. How could something that felt so good be bad?
Kiyo remembered to relax and Evan, still demonstrating amazing patience, slid himself slowly home. Kiyo clasped his hands together behind Evan's neck, leaning back and tilting himself so as to be able to fit Evan's full length. In his aroused state Evan's cock inside of him pressed in places his fingers could not reach. Kiyo squeezed his eyes closed, panting, already on the verge of coming as Evan moved inside of him with a soft, erotic moan.
Evan's voice was raspy with desire. His words echoed up to Kiyo against the tile of the shower wall and Kiyo opened his eyes and looked at his partner there, buried deeply inside him, muscles taut and glistening in the light spray of the shower that was hitting them both in spite of their being out of most of it. He parted lips that felt swollen and licked them before trying to respond. Instead all that came out was a soft whimper.
Kiyo levered himself up, curling himself around and tugging Evan to him for a deep kiss, making little cries of pleasure as he did. He broke away to gasp for air. "It's been... a while," he panted at his partner... it was an understatement. He wasn't sure he'd ever enjoyed it, not the right way. And definitely not this much. He might have blushed but at the moment he was too aroused to be embarrassed. He wanted to tell Evan that he liked seeing the pleasure on his face, too, liked knowing he had put it there, but Evan gripped him tightly and, unbelievably, lifted him to move him with his deep intense thrusts.
That was it for Kiyo; the sensation was so overwhelming by that point that he dug his fingers into Evan's wet hair and felt his whole body tense. He managed to gasp out Evan's name before he arched his back and convulsed in a fit of pleasure, feeling each muscle scream in ecstasy as he came but letting out only a strangled moan that turned into a hoarse cry.
Still locked around Evan, still holding tight, and still doing his best to move with his partner, Kiyo gasped in a voice that was mostly moan, "Again."
"Its okay." The grin became crooked as one side crept up a little more. He spoke between thrusts. "We can...make up for...lost time." As often as Kiyoshi liked.
Evan's eyes followed his partner's every move with avid attention. Watching Kiyo as he came was overwhelmingly erotic. The way the reserved werewolf lost himself, with his head thrown back and his eyes closed, drops of water splashing around him was enough to make him tremble with desire. Evan clutched Kiyo tighter not wanting to lose his hold on his lover. "Beautiful." He breathed in a soft hoarse voice filled with awe. Evan regarded his companion the same way he would watch a glorious sunset and thought that they both held a natural magnificence made even better for not knowing they possessed it.
Feeling Kiyoshi clench around him and hearing him call out the name Evan had claimed was nearly enough to bring him to similar state of ecstasy. A grin and a shaky shuddering laugh was his answer to Kiyo's request for another round. Evan nodded in agreement. Yes, he definitely wanted to see that again.
Pushing against the wall with his elbows, he stood up straighter and then carefully turned them around, pressing Kiyo back against the tiles instead. With the wall to help support his companion, Evan was able to remove a hand. He reached up and took Kiyo's cock in hand and began to gently stroke it as he moved. He did his best to slow his thrusts down to the pace of his hand, straining with the effort go so slowly and not push faster for his own release.
"Tell me...something...like this...that you've...always...wanted to do." Evan leaned forward and began to nibble softly on Kiyo's ear, tugging gently on the lobe and licking the soft depression behind it. The fantasy he asked for did not have to be one that had included him; he just wanted to help his partner quickly find that special place again. He also wanted to know what Kiyo might like to try now that he had a willing partner and Evan considered himself very willing.
Evan slowed, though, and Kiyo whimpered again as he did. "No don't," he gasped, writhing against Evan, pulling greedily at his shoulders. "Please... more."
He trembled even as he begged. He liked making noises for Evan, and Evan had said he wanted him to. He wanted to come again, too, and Evan had said that was all right as well. He trusted Evan, Evan didn't want to hurt him, gained nothing by humiliating him.
He tightened his arms around Evan's neck as the taller man leaned down. As Evan's mouth found his ear Kiyo shivered again and rubbed his cheek against Evan. Listening to Evan's words, Kiyo froze for a moment. He blinked and then pulled himself as close as he could to Evan, his body curled tightly in on itself. He forced his hands to open a little bit and smoothed them down the tightly corded muscles of Evan's shoulders.
"I don't know," he said softly, embarrassed. He turned his head, touching his forehead to Evan's. "I'm sorry."
He apologized not only because he couldn't answer Evan's question, but because he was so... abnormal. Evan deserved to be loving someone who could give him a real fantasy.
"I just want this," he whispered, his voice cracking some. "You're the only fantasy I have had since coming here. I want to make you feel good."
To that end, to prove what he'd just claimed, Kiyo leaned back once more and, bracing himself against the tile of the shower wall, pushed himself against Evan. With his legs he pulled his lover toward him. He watched Evan's face intently, trying to show him how seriously he meant those words.
Evan looked at Kiyo as his partner requested that he not stop and asked for more. He nodded and picked the pace back up. "Won't last..." His words ended in a moan as if to accentuate that statement. Leaning forward he captured Kiyoshi's lips with his own, wanting to taste them again, knowing he would have to be good while they worked. It would be torture because this little experience here was going to play out again and again while he served drinks to the writhing masses.
But then Kiyo would be coming back home with him again. The thought made him happy and excited for the uninterrupted, unhurried time they could spend together later.
The fantasy that he had asked for caused Kiyo to apologize; his companion told him that he didn't know of any. His partner then said that he just wanted what they were doing and that this was all he had dreamed about. Evan leaned forward and kissed Kiyo tenderly.
"Its okay." He smiled. "You do...make me...feel good." Evan explained in breathless pants. "...very good." Kiyo pushed hard against him, while pulling him close with his legs; Evan groaned as his body shuddered. He pressed himself against Kiyo with barely enough room for his hand to move and began moving his hips in deep desperate thrusts. It took only a few before he came with a loud cry, his whole body going rigid as the pleasure took him. Evan clung to Kiyo, pressing his forehead against the cool tiles until the last tremor had passed. Then he began thrusting again picking up the rhythm of his hand that had continued steadily through his climax.
"I don't think I have ever been anyone's fantasy before." He smiled, almost blushing. "We will have to keep doing new things until we find your favorites."
After his apology Evan set him at ease with his words. Kiyo, fearing criticism, was once again relieved and shocked to not receive any. Evan always seemed to know what to say to him to make him calmer.
Well, Kiyo thought, mentally anyway. Physically his body was a raging torrent of barely-restrained desire, pent up from years of frustrations and unsatisfying experiences. He had thought it was enough to have a partner at all, someone who was content to take him someplace and screw him. It was a side-effect of Kiyo's legendary lack of self-esteem that made him attractive to people who wanted to control, who wanted to be needed like that. It wasn't enough to give your body what it craved, Kiyo was beginning to realize. The mind and heart had to be engaged.
Kiyo's mind and heart had been so deprived, and Evan was waking them back up. It was evident in his soft kiss, even as his body grew more and more tense with his approaching climax. Kiyo let his senses open up as Evan thrust deeply into him. His hand on Kiyo's erection was rough in texture; working hands, not soft ones. His breathing was harsh as he exerted himself, straining for his own release even as he coaxed Kiyoshi back to that edge of bliss too. If Kiyo listened closely enough he could very nearly hear the beating of Evan's heart; faster than it had beat in his sleep yet still slower than he would have expected for someone working so hard. All these things, Kiyo tried to memorize. All of these things told him that Evan was intent on Kiyo's pleasure as well as his own and it lit a little fire inside the werewolf that sputtered weakly in disbelief.
Kiyo tilted his hips back to meet those deep, satisfying thrusts. He moaned softly in anticipation as he felt his own body react. One arm was still linked around Evan's neck. The other drifted down his chest, so close, so that his fingertips could flutter over the two scars there, tracing them gently.
"I always want to make you feel good," Kiyo murmured softly. He arched against Evan as he felt his partner come. With each throb Kiyo pushed against him, resting his head against Evan's as his partner leaned against the shower wall. Evan's hand continued to move even as he came and Kiyo didn't resist the pull. He was ready again, so close, that as Evan began to thrust once more Kiyo gasped and went rigid.
The vampire's words were nearly lost; Kiyo closed his eyes and wrapped both arms around Evan's neck, holding him tightly. He couldn't respond; his mouth opened and he merely panted his pleasure as he came again, writhing against Evan a few times before going completely still as the climax shook him to his core.
When rational thought returned Kiyo pried one of his hands away from Evan's neck to brush a few strands of raven black hair from his partner's face. "That... was a favorite," Kiyo gasped.
This was the first night since coming to Nachton that Kiyo actually regretted having to go to work. A dedicated workaholic with no life, Kiyoshi generally had to be shoved out of the club for a night off. Now, he'd have taken one in a heartbeat to be able to crawl back under the covers with Evan and do this all night.
He smiled at Kiyo's response, giving him a tender kiss. "Then we will have to do it again."
Gently easing himself out, Evan leaned back enough to pull the shower head from its holder. The extendable fixture was one of the few that he could get high enough for him to comfortably stand under. Right now he was happy to have it for a different reason; he didn't have to let go of Kiyo in order to wash them both off. He then held Kiyo close, letting out a contented sigh. "Just being with you makes me feel good, Kiyo." Evan leaned back and looked at the werewolf. "I love spending any time with you; it doesn't matter what we're doing...though this is obvious a favorite of mine as well."
Once they were both rinsed somewhat clean, Evan settled himself down on the floor and patted the tiles in front of him. "Come sit with me?"
Waiting until Kiyo was settled in front of him, he then wrapped his legs around his companion. Evan took up Kiyoshi's long hair in his hands and reached for his shampoo. He began smoothing it into the silky wet strands.
"Dev sent this to me actually, for my birthday."
He showed the glass bottle to the werewolf with its neat little label. This particular one had a woodsy fragrance of cypress and juniper with just a hint of citrus. Dev had sent him several one year for Christmas and this one was one of his favorites. It did not lather much like commercial cleaners but the homemade herbal shampoo cleaned well and it didn't strip his hair until it was dry and brittle.
"Speaking of Dev..." Evan leaned forward and kissed Kiyo's neck. "We need to talk about this." In illustration he let go of his partner's hair and wrapped his arms around Kiyo's waist, holding him close. "I don't want to stop seeing you but I am sure that being in a relationship with me will cause you problems with you pack. If you did not want to..." He paused and hugged Kiyoshi tighter. It seemed to him that the werewolf wanted to continue seeing him. Normally he would let such things develop naturally over time but in this case they needed to sort out whether or not to continue before either of them got hurt. "What I mean is, I don't know how much trouble that would be for you but you probably have some idea. If you think it best that we don't continue to see each other this way...I would understand." Evan nuzzled into Kiyo's neck and sighed softly. "I wouldn't like it but I would understand and I would certainly still be your friend."
He reached down and picked up the shower nozzle and gently tilted his companion's head back so he could rinse out his hair. Smiling down at Kiyo, he said. "If however, you want to continue then perhaps we should decide what we want and how we to deal with everyone else." Evan was pretty sure that the rest of the world was a problem. Vampires and werewolves were not meant to be together; everyone knew that, even the popular media in the mundane world proclaimed it obvious. He was distracted by envisioning Kiyo in a tight leather cat suit, despite the fact that he was the vampire in this scenario. After a moment, Evan decided that he preferred Kiyo naked or perhaps wrapped snugly in his blankets. Kate could keep her catsuit; she looked damned sexy in it but it just wasn't the same without the curves.
"I do not mention my involvement with werewolves to my people. Perhaps they know, perhaps not. I'm am a warrior not a spy. Needless to say mentioning that I am sleeping with a werewolf night after night within the city limits would be reason enough for some of them to come find you and I would very much rather they did not." Evan wrapped his arms protectively around Kiyo once more.
He went willingly into Evan's arms, sitting where his partner indicated and wriggling closer, not wanting the contact to stop. With Evan's legs around him Kiyo felt like he was being wrapped up protectively; he cuddled into the armless embrace and then tensed a little as Evan's hands buried themselves in his hair. He realized what Evan was doing though and relaxed once the surprise passed. He didn't think anyone had ever washed his hair before. Surely his mother had when he was little, but Kiyo couldn't remember her doing so. He loved the feel of hands in his hair, working against his scalp. He leaned into them with a shiver of pleasure.
"Dev did?" He asked Evan, closing his eyes and sniffing at the bottle Evan showed him. He let the scents wash over his nose and tongue, tasting them as he smelled them. He detected the forest fragrances, not cloying or overpowering at all. "It's good," he said softly. It would be hard to smell cypress and not think about Evan after getting a good scent of it. "When is your birthday?"
When Evan continued, Kiyo turned his head and raised his eyebrows at Evan. Evan was aware his online friend was a werewolf? Nestled into Evan's arms once more, Kiyo was glad Evan did not share his particular reluctance to talk. He simply listened, although by the time Evan applied the warm water to his hair again he was trembling.
Evan's words clearly indicated he didn't want to stop what was happening but Kiyo was still afraid. Not of what the Pack might do to him, but because he had finally gotten a taste of what it would feel like to be cherished and he didn't want to lose it already. It had been less than a day!
He sat quietly while Evan finished, his fingers clenching and unclenching. The trembling didn't subside when Evan bluntly admitted to him that his own kind might come after Kiyo. He was grateful for the strong arms around him; he pressed himself close to Evan once more, turning sideways and laying his head on the vampire's shoulder.
Kiyo considered everything Evan had said as he wrapped his arms around Evan's neck. Why was it such a bad thing? He understood the history between their two races but he didn't feel the same dread as his kin; his inherited memories were not strong. In fact, they were practically nonexistent. Why should it matter to anyone who he slept with? It wasn't like he was interested in politics, or secrets, or anything of that nature. He was one very small Omega wolf; intrigue was not his forte.
He finally found his voice, using it to answer Evan's concerns about his Pack first. "They won't understand at all," he said softly, flatly. Maybe Tavi... she was more openminded than most but even this might push her limits. Kiyo hoped not; he liked her and considered her another friend but he was afraid to test those waters. Guillaume... well, Evan probably knew better than Kiyo how Guillaume would react.
"I don't care," he continued. "I never asked for this. It was forced on me. Why shouldn't I be free to like who I like?"
He shook his head, feeling conflicted. "I don't want to interfere with the work you do here though," he pointed out, "and I don't want the Pack to cause you trouble, either."
Kiyo wasn't terribly worried for himself. His life had been miserable enough up until this point that being murdered by vampires wouldn't particularly shock or awe him. Terrify him, yes, but he was ready to accept his own death if not by someone else's hand, then by his own. He wasn't ready to let go of what he had found, however, with Evan.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I wanna stay with you," he said, clinging tightly. "If you want me... here. We don't have to tell anyone. We can keep it hidden. There are plenty of times where we're alone..."
Closing the club, for example. Guillaume worked an earlier shift than he and Evan did. Often, after the rest of the employees left for the night, Kiyo and Evan finished closing up by themselves. Kiyo could get an apartment off the Pack grounds; no one would question him. There were ways. They could remain secret.
"Maybe eventually... our friends could know. Maybe not."
Kiyo couldn't believe the boldness of his suggestion to keep it secret, but wasn't that what Evan was getting at? "I just don't want this to stop."
He needed it to continue. Having this and then having it yanked away... he'd take death by vampire instead. Hell, his own Pack could have him. Kiyo closed his eyes and simply shivered at the ramifications.
He found himself with his arms full of werewolf and Evan thought that was not such a bad thing. Perhaps if more vampires saw this side of their enemy then they would be more motivated to live in harmony. Of course he doubted diplomacy through cuddling was a viable peace strategy. He might ask a member of the Rose though, just to be sure.
Tightening his hold on Kiyo, he held him closer as his companion mentioned that being a werewolf had not been his choice. It was sad that it caused Kiyoshi so much hardship and pain and that it looked like it might cause him some more. At least, in this, Kiyo had a choice; though it was not a happy one. He could choose to stay with the vampire and take whatever troubles the relationship caused him or give him up before anyone knew.
"Are you saying you like me?" Evan smiled teasingly. "I wouldn't have guessed."
He listened to Kiyoshi explain that they could keep it hidden to save them both trouble. Evan did not think they could keep it hidden forever, but sadly, they would never have forever. In time perhaps they would tell ones that they trusted...or not. The more people you told a secret the faster it became news.
"Maybe." He agreed. "We'll see."
Evan leaned in and nuzzled Kiyo's neck before speaking softly. "It doesn't have to stop. Not if you want it to continue." He tilted his partner's chin up so he could taste Kiyo's lips again savoring a long kiss before pulling away. "I still want to date you, Little Wolf, properly."
He smiled and gathered up the soap and gliding it over Kiyo's chest and arms. "I think I should explain what else I can do. It is not mind reading but it might be useful to us." He moved his washing to Kiyo's back as he explained. "I can change my shape...not just to be a bird. I can alter my appearance. I can't be someone else specifically. It would be impossible to mimic someone's features so exactly...at least for me." Evan thought of the others he knew who could be someone specifically. He thought the difference was the source that they each drew from. He looked inwardly for the changes he made, picking a mental image and making it happen. Even with a photograph to look at he could never be perfect at trying to look like someone else; there were just too many nuances that wouldn't be right. The others he knew drew on the need of someone else and when it was strong enough then they could mimic a person exactly. The trade off was that they did not get to choose what they looked like. He was happy to have options over accuracy. " But I can pick an appearance and reproduce it reliably. So, tell me what you might like."
He stopped washing and set the bar of soap down on the ledge. Evan stood in front of his partner and brought Kiyoshi up with him, becoming serious. "I know it is strange and perhaps it will take some getting used to but it is me and will always be me. Think of it as simply a different form of me, like my bird form or your wolf. This form, whatever we choose, will only be for you and no one else." Evan looked at Kiyo solemnly. "You should have every possible happiness I can give you and I want everyone to know how much I think of you." He hugged Kiyoshi possessively close. "And that you're with me." Evan smiled then. "Unless you'd be embarrassed to be seen with me. And that would make me sad." He pouted dramatically, adding a little sniffle for effect. Okay, so he was rarely serious for long. He meant what he had said though; he didn't want Kiyoshi to have a strange relationship that he could only enjoy in private and one he had to slink off to each night like it was something shameful. Evan wanted to go out with Kiyo, walk hand in hand along the beach or go with friends to a movie and spend time together in a public restaurant. If his nature meant that Kiyo could not openly love him for fear of reprisal from his people then he would use whatever talents he had to make it as normal as he possibly could in every other way.
"February twenty ninth," he murmured against Evan's chest. Even his birthday wasn't normal. Go figure.
Evan's arms trapped him comfortably tight and Kiyo trembled in that firm embrace, still afraid to believe it was real and lasting. Evan's teasing went straight over his head as he jerked back and stared at the taller man, eyes wide and fearful.
"Of course I like you," Kiyo insisted, his face turning red. "I don't... sleep around. Ever. I wouldn't do that!"
Retroactively his joke-sensing-mechanism kicked in and he realized Evan had been teasing him. Kiyo sighed at himself and muttered a soft apology, feeling stupid for not recognizing the lilt behind Evan's tone. Evan tilted his chin up, however, and kissed Kiyo in such a way as to purge all thoughts of stupidity and self-recrimination from Kiyo's head. Kiyo moaned into Evan's kiss and he returned it happily, once more plastering himself against Evan as his body responded accordingly. Kiyo was pretty sure that was going to keep happening. He should probably dress accordingly... if he could figure out what that meant, he'd be sure to do so.
Kiyo didn't really know what about him made someone like Evan attracted to him. Rather than argue the fact he silently sat, enjoying Evan's hands upon his skin, listening to what the vampire told him. His brows rose at the admission that Evan could be other people for a time. Processing the request that he think of someone he might like, Kiyo shrugged his shoulders.
"If it doesn't look like you then it makes no difference. As long as it's you on the inside." He just wanted Evan to be Evan, although the idea that they could still fool the masses in plain sight was pretty appealing. "Maybe something as opposite from you as possible," he said. "Short. Blonde. Plump." He quirked a wry smile at Evan. "Female... and quiet."
It was just a little joke, but it was a joke. Kiyo wasn't very good at teasing but he was working on it. Evan's next words wiped all traces of humor from his face, however. "The wolf inside me is nothing like me," he said softly, seriously. "There's nothing of me in it. I'm just a passenger."
He clamped his teeth together and said nothing else on the topic. Kiyo hated his wolf. He suspected the feeling was mutual. Maybe if they didn't spend so much time fighting, Kiyo would have embraced being a werewolf more. But they did, and he didn't. He shook his head to forestall any further questions; he would tell Evan about it if he wanted to hear but not tonight. Tonight was too pleasant so far to ruin.
Kiyo blinked back sudden tears at Evan's fervent words, glad they were obscured by the spray of water but not entirely sure that would fool Evan. He didn't know why Evan should feel this way about him, of all people. Surely it was a phase. It would pass, like the full moon, and like those three nights it would leave Kiyo feeling empty, hollow, wrung out, wasted, and utterly alone. How someone like him could possibly hope to keep the attention of someone like Evan, even for as short a time as a few decades must seem to the vampire, Kiyo did not know.
It was for the best they keep it secret, then. When the time came for Evan to move on, when he found someone who was a better match for him, he could leave Kiyo easily. There would be no reprisal from vampires, werewolves, or discarded lovers. That was surely best for Evan. Kiyo didn't care about himself. To feel cared for and cherished, even for a short time, was everything he'd ever wanted.
"I'd never be embarrassed to be seen with you," he said softly, leaning over and resting his cheek against Evan's chest once more. He wrapped his arms loosely around Evan's waist, stroking gently. "I'm sorry it'll probably end up the other way around more often."
Then again maybe it wouldn't take very long at all. "Hmmph, short, blond, plump and female I can do but quiet might be a miracle beyond my abilities." He leaned down and nipped recently cleaned shoulder. "If that's what you want though..." Evan grinned and then stopped when Kiyo told him about his own other form.
He pulled Kiyoshi to him and kissed his partner gently before pulling back enough to speak. "I am sorry to hear that. It sounds as though you and he fight often. It must be terrible to have an enemy in your own skin." Evan looked at the very quiet werewolf who shook his head and seemed quite done with discussing the matter. Some other time then; perhaps he could help in some small way. The werewolf change was very different; Evan was still Evan no matter what form he was in but perhaps he understood more than someone who did not change at all. Who knew perhaps an outside opinion might bring new light to a subject that was bound to have plenty of traditional opinion on it. Kiyoshi seemed very different from most of the wolves he knew and it was likely that they might not see what the trouble was. Kiyo had told him that he did not see it as the gift they believed it to be; some gifts were unwelcome ones and difficult to accept.
Holding his companion close, Evan squeezed him a little tighter. "I am very happy to be seen with you, Little Wolf so that situation works out just fine for me."
Evan leaned his head back and picked up the bottle of shampoo once more. He peered down at Kiyo through half closed lids as he began massaging the mixture into his hair. "Short, plump and female, hmm? How short? I suppose I should be glad you didn't say bald." Grinning, he closed his eyes all the way and began forming a mental image. "I wonder if I have some clothes to fit such a form. I think so but I might need to update them. I can drag you with me to go shopping."
Opening his eyes, he said. "So, would you like to go out with me later tonight? When we get off work? We can go get some sushi. I will even eat." Some. It would not be a waste if it served a purpose and to him being a normal companion for Kiyo was a purpose; helping the werewolf feel more comfortable and sociable was a very good thing. They should probably establish that Kiyo has started dating someone with some public dates that start from Terminus so that the other employees notice. They were werewolves amongst the patrons and on the staff so he wanted to lead them as far from himself as he could manage. Plus he wanted to take his friend out and treat him as he should be treated. "How about Evalyn? It should be easier to get used to and if you call me Evan most people will assume you just swallowed a syllable."
He paused and looked at Kiyo with a small smile. "My first name is Howahkan, by the way." Shrugging, he smiled. "I like Evan though. There have been many but it has been a favorite."
In spite of the topic change to something much darker, Kiyo couldn't ignore the feel of Evan's mouth, gentle on his own. He was so enchanted with this feeling of tenderness, this caring. It couldn't grow old. It reminded him of things he'd wanted all his life, things he'd looked in completely wrong places for.
He shook his head, feeling guilty for not being willing to discuss it with Evan. He would. Another time. Just not now. As always, though, Evan seemed to understand him. His friend didn't press, just easily switched topics, not taking offense to the fact that Kiyo had shut down the previous topic entirely.
Kiyoshi just shrugged his shoulders modestly when Evan continued to affirm hi feelings about being with Kiyo. He didn't know what to say. He felt unworthy. As Evn tipped his head back to wash his hair Kiyo shifted his position. He straddled Evan's legs, kneeling over him and facing him, and gently slid his hands beneath Evan's, replacing them with his own as he began to gently wash Evan's hair.
He laughed softly at Evan's mention of baldness. "You'd look good bald, if it came to that. Although you have the best hair." He shrugged again. "You look good no matter what."
Hesitantly Kiyo initiated another kiss, his hands still buried in Evan's soapy wet hair. It was just a quick caress since Evan clearly had more to say. Kiyo pulled back quickly, listening to Evan talk. He didn't know how it would feel going out with someone who was one person, disguised as another. Kiyo thought he almost preferred sneaking around in secret. He was so private, he didn't like scrutiny anyway. But if Evan wanted to go out, Kiyo did too. Plus there were lots of places to go that would be more fun if they shared them.
Kiyo pulled back some, his hands stilling in Evan's hair when he was invited out. "A date?" He asked, a smile forming on his lips. "I want to go out with you." It was his form of agreement. "Maybe we can share a plate. That way no one will really notice who eats what."
Maybe four or five plates. Evan didn't like to eat, so Kiyo could help make it look like he was doing so. He was desperate to give something back to Evan, to uphold his end of whatever relationship they were beginning here tonight.
"I'll try to remember Evalyn," Kiyoshi said. He wasn't always the best liar, but he knew how to keep something hidden. If they were going to do this, Evan's identity had to stay hidden. Kiyo would simply have to lie, and lie very well. He already felt the pressure of wanting to do it perfectly.
Kiyoshi tried to calm himself. No use worrying about it yet, right? He worked his hands through Evan's dark hair, making sure to get soap all through it. As he worked, Evan told him his real name. Kiyo rolled it over his tongue a few times.
"Howahkan," he repeated, trying to get the inflection right. "Does it mean anything?"
He lifted the shower head to rinse Evan's hair. "And do you want me to call you by it?" Even just knowing it was nice; Evan had entrusted him with something very personal and Koyoshi loved that. He very much wanted to learn more. Little things, big things. Anything.
"My name," he continued with a little wry quirk of his lips, "means 'quiet' in Japanese."
The irony wasn't lost on him. "My birth mother once told me I was a very quiet baby."
